Chapter 42 - *One Piece: A Side Story – The Forgotten Isle (Part 42)*

The chamber was filled with a palpable tension as the Straw Hat Pirates braced themselves for the imminent battle. The Order of the Eclipse, a group shrouded in mystery, had come for the crystal—and they weren't about to back down. Robin's heart pounded in her chest as she gripped the artifact tighter, her mind racing.

Luffy cracked his knuckles, a wide grin plastered across his face. "You guys are in for a real fight! I'm gonna make sure you never get your hands on that crystal!"

Zoro's swords gleamed under the dim light of the chamber as he eyed the cloaked figures. "Let's see if they can even keep up with us."

Sanji exhaled a cloud of cigarette smoke, his smirk unfazed. "I don't know who these Eclipse idiots think they are, but they're gonna regret crossing us."

Caligo remained motionless, his eyes fixed on the cloaked figures with a mix of concern and resignation. He knew the crystal was far too dangerous to fall into the wrong hands, but he also understood the gravity of the situation. The Straw Hat Pirates were the only ones standing between the Eclipse Order and the island's heart.

The leader of the Eclipse Order stepped forward, his voice cutting through the tension like a knife. "We've waited long enough. Hand over the crystal, or we'll take it by force."

Robin's gaze hardened as she stood between the Eclipse leader and the crystal. "You won't lay a finger on it. You don't understand what you're dealing with."

The leader sneered, his hand slipping into his cloak. "I know exactly what I'm dealing with. And you, Robin, are the key to unlocking its true potential. The power of the crystal will be ours, whether you want it or not."

Suddenly, the cloaked figures moved in unison, each one taking a battle stance. Their eyes burned with an intense desire to claim the crystal, and their energy was palpable—this wasn't going to be an easy fight.

"Get ready, everyone!" Luffy shouted, his voice booming in the chamber. Without another word, he dashed forward, his body stretching as he swung a powerful fist at the nearest Eclipse soldier.

"Gomu Gomu no... Pistol!" Luffy's punch collided with the soldier's chest, sending him flying across the room, crashing into the stone wall. The others hesitated for a moment, but only for a second.

Zoro, already on the move, unsheathed his swords with deadly precision. "Santoryu! Onigiri!" he shouted, slashing through the air in a wide arc. Three of the cloaked figures attempted to block the attack, but Zoro's swords cut through them effortlessly, sending them tumbling to the ground.

Sanji kicked out with precision, each strike landing on his opponents with unrelenting force. "Diable Jambe!" His leg burst into flames as he delivered a devastating roundhouse kick, sending two more of the cloaked figures sprawling backward.

But the leader of the Eclipse Order wasn't about to let the Straw Hat Pirates have their way. He raised his hand, and an eerie pulse of energy emanated from his palm, knocking back the crew with a blast of dark power. The force of the blast sent Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji sprawling, leaving Robin and Chopper as the only ones still standing close to the crystal.

"You're strong," the leader of the Eclipse Order said, his eyes narrowing. "But you're still out of your depth. You can't stop what's coming."

Robin, determined to protect the crystal, placed the artifact on the ground and stepped forward, her face calm and focused. "I don't care what you think you know. You'll never control this power."

The leader laughed, his voice cold and cruel. "You think you can stop me? The crystal was never meant to be sealed. It's meant to rule. I've waited for centuries for this moment, and now, it's finally mine."

Robin's eyes flashed with a dangerous determination. She knew that the artifact and the crystal were connected, but there was something more—something that the leader didn't understand. She stepped closer to the crystal, her fingers brushing its surface, and the artifact began to hum in response, glowing brighter.

"You're wrong," Robin said softly. "The crystal isn't meant to rule. It's meant to protect."

Before the Eclipse leader could react, the crystal's energy surged, and the entire chamber was bathed in a blinding light. The power that erupted from it was overwhelming, sending shockwaves through the island and shaking the very ground beneath their feet. The golems outside froze in place, their movements halted by the crystal's power.

The leader of the Eclipse Order staggered back, shielding his eyes from the light. "No! This isn't possible! The crystal is supposed to obey me!"

Robin's voice was firm, her gaze unwavering. "It doesn't obey anyone. It only responds to those who understand its true purpose."

The light from the crystal continued to grow, until it enveloped the entire chamber. In that moment, the Eclipse leader's arrogance melted away, replaced by desperation. "What have you done?!"

"I haven't done anything," Robin replied, her voice steady. "It's doing what it was always meant to do: protect the balance."

The energy from the crystal began to settle, its glow fading as the chamber returned to its dim, eerie state. The Eclipse leader dropped to his knees, his hand trembling as he reached for the artifact that had triggered the crystal's awakening.

"Why… Why did it reject me?" he whispered, his voice filled with disbelief.

Robin stepped forward, her expression softening slightly. "The crystal doesn't serve those who seek power. It only answers to those who seek understanding."

Luffy, who had recovered from the blast, flashed a bright grin. "Sounds like you're out of luck, buddy!"

The rest of the crew slowly regained their footing, ready to take on the remaining members of the Eclipse Order. Zoro cracked his knuckles, his face a mix of determination and excitement. "We don't let anyone mess with our friends, or our adventures."

Sanji smirked. "Let's wrap this up before they try something else."

As the Eclipse members scrambled to regroup, Robin stood before the crystal, her thoughts heavy. The battle wasn't over, but they had won a crucial moment. What would happen next depended on the crew—and on the path they chose to take with the crystal.
