Chapter 43 - *One Piece: A Side Story – The Forgotten Isle (Part 43)*

The Eclipse Order's members, though disoriented by the intense burst of light from the crystal, slowly began to regain their composure. They had underestimated the power of the ancient artifact, and now, it was clear they were no longer in control.

Luffy stepped forward, his arms stretched wide as he grinned at the weakened Eclipse members. "This is going to be fun, right, guys?"

Zoro, his swords still drawn, gave a cold smirk. "I'll take care of the rest. You guys don't have to worry about it."

Sanji adjusted his tie and flicked his cigarette into the air, his gaze locked on the remaining cloaked figures. "I'll make sure they don't run away."

Robin, standing beside the glowing crystal, kept a wary eye on the Eclipse leader, who was still kneeling, clutching the floor in disbelief. The intense energy from the artifact had clearly shattered his confidence. "You should have understood the power you were trying to control," she said, her voice calm yet firm.

The leader, his yellow eyes wild with frustration, slowly stood up, his dark cloak billowing behind him. "You don't understand," he growled. "The crystal was never meant for guardians or protectors. It was meant to be a weapon, a tool to reshape the world. You may have stopped me today, but you can't stop what's coming next. You've only delayed the inevitable."

Robin's expression softened, but only slightly. She had heard these kinds of words before from those who sought to use ancient powers for their own gain. The arrogance, the delusion that one could control forces beyond their understanding—it was all too familiar.

"You're wrong," she said simply. "The crystal chooses who it responds to, and it's never responded to someone like you."

Luffy, tired of listening to the leader rant, kicked off the ground, launching himself toward the remaining Eclipse members with a determined grin. "We'll take you down, and we're gonna protect this island no matter what!"

"Right behind you, Luffy!" Zoro shouted, charging ahead with his swords at the ready.

As the battle resumed, Chopper and Nami worked together to secure the artifact, making sure no one could get too close to it. "We need to make sure the crystal stays safe," Chopper said, his small form darting around the chamber as he kept a lookout.

"Don't worry, Chopper," Nami reassured him, eyes scanning the room. "The others are handling the rest. We just need to make sure no one else tries anything funny."

Meanwhile, the remaining Eclipse members, seeing their leader's failure, hesitated for a brief moment, but they quickly regrouped. They unleashed a barrage of energy blasts from their palms, aiming to overwhelm the Straw Hats with their dark power.

"Watch out!" Robin called out, her arms multiplying as she created shields of flesh to intercept the blasts. "They're desperate now."

Sanji gritted his teeth as he dodged an attack and delivered a swift kick to one of the attackers, sending them crashing into the wall. "These guys are relentless!"

Zoro cleaved through two more of the cloaked figures, his swords moving in a blur. "It's nothing we haven't dealt with before. Let's finish this."

Despite the Eclipse Order's powerful attacks, the Straw Hat Pirates remained undeterred. The clash between the two sides intensified, each of the crew members pushing their limits. But amid the chaos, Robin's mind was still focused on the task at hand: the crystal.

"Caligo," she called out, looking to the ancient guardian who had remained largely silent since the battle began. "What is the true nature of the crystal? Why does it choose who it responds to?"

Caligo, who had been watching the battle unfold, finally spoke, his voice low but filled with wisdom. "The crystal is not a weapon, nor is it a tool for conquest. It was created by an ancient civilization that understood the delicate balance of the world's natural forces. It was meant to maintain that balance, to act as a stabilizer in times of turmoil."

"But the Eclipse Order doesn't understand that," Robin said, her face grim. "They believe it can be used to reshape the world, to control it. If they succeed…"

"The world will fall into chaos," Caligo finished for her. "The forces that the crystal holds are too powerful for any one person or organization to wield. The moment they attempt to bend it to their will, they will unleash destruction on a scale the world has never seen."

Robin's expression hardened with resolve. "We can't let that happen."

The battle raged on, the Straw Hat Pirates relentlessly holding off the Eclipse Order's final resistance. But it was clear that time was running out. The longer they delayed, the more dangerous the situation became.

Luffy, ever the optimist, landed a powerful punch to the Eclipse leader's chest, sending him crashing into the wall. "You guys aren't getting away with it!"

Zoro finished off the last of the cloaked figures, his eyes never leaving the leader. "This ends now."

The leader of the Eclipse Order, breathing heavily and covered in bruises, glared at the Straw Hat Pirates with malice. "You think you've won? You think you've stopped me? There are more of us—more who will come for the crystal. You can't protect it forever."

"We don't have to protect it forever," Robin said softly, stepping forward. "We just need to keep it safe long enough for it to fulfill its true purpose."

With the remaining Eclipse members defeated, the chamber fell eerily silent. The crystal's glow dimmed slightly, its power no longer resonating with the same overwhelming force, but still pulsing with quiet energy.

Robin took a deep breath. The battle was over for now, but the consequences of their actions were far from settled. She knew that the crystal's power had to be contained, and that it was only a matter of time before someone else would seek to claim it.

"We need to make sure the crystal stays hidden," Robin said, turning to the crew. "We'll protect it, no matter what it takes."

The Straw Hat Pirates nodded in agreement, their faces determined. The battle for the crystal may have been won, but the war for its control was far from over.
