Loraine Eleanor POV :
The protection council meeting was held five days after we left the Abyssal gate, I don't think Wein will attend this meeting because he hasn't fully recovered yet.
There were eleven members of the Aegis Council, but one fell while in the Abyssal Dungeon, so we were only left with ten people.
Nine of us had gathered; only Wein was left, who said he was on his way here, so we were all waiting for him and Academy Head Claudia.
Because the Aegis Council members were taking part in the raid except Teressa and Narisa, everyone looked very tired today, some of their faces were even very pale.
Until I felt a large aura coming towards this room, this aura felt like the aura belonging to Academy Head Claudia with its great mana power.
And when I opened the door I saw the door open by itself like the wind opened the door for him. It was clear that the wind element was Academy Head Claudia.
Then he sat on a chair that looked luxurious and was in the middle of the long table while we were on each side.
Not long after Academy Head Claudia sat down, the door suddenly opened, and Wein finally revealed himself; I couldn't feel his presence.
Likewise, the others looked confused when they saw Wein, who was having difficulty moving, enter the room without any sound or aura being emitted.
He walked towards his chair with careful steps because both of his legs had serious muscle damage and his right hand also had muscle damage.
When he sat down, Academy Principal Claudia finally tried to make a sound and welcomed us all here.
"Okay, since I know you guys are very tired, let's get straight to the point." He said with a bit of wisdom and insight.
"Five days ago, the students had a pajama party in the canteen; the school didn't know about this because we were busy following the news from the abyssal gate, so we were too careless about this; after the incident, there was news that around forty students had disappeared without provide a trace." He paused for a moment before continuing. The members who previously looked tired this time showed shocked expressions. They opened their eyes wide and looked at Academy Head Claudia.
"This party was attended by one of the people here as a spy, namely Narisa." Academy Principal Claudia seemed to suggest that Narisa should provide the information she got while spying on the party.
"Twelve hours before you finished the abyssal dungeon, I did this because I was very curious. From the information I got, it was said that Rucas took part in a raid with some of you, right? So I think he follows that." He said stopping for a moment as if waiting for us to answer.
"And it turns out that he was the one who led the party in a very chaotic manner that morning. He also made fun of the team that was carrying out the raid." Then he paused again to take a breath.
"What did he say?" Alain asked curiously.
"He said that he knew that it was an Abyssal dungeon and that you would all die in that dungeon so he threw a party to celebrate your deaths!" Narisa answered a little quickly when telling the story.
The whole room was shocked except for Wein and Academy Head Claudia, they looked normal when they heard the information given by Narisa.
"I think Rucas already evaluated the dungeon before we arrived in the morning." As soon as Wein said that, they all turned to look at him.
"What? If that's true, does that mean we can tell if it's an Abyssal dungeon or a normal dungeon?" Tiffany asked.
"That's right" Academy Head Claudia answered even though the question was posed to Wein.
"How is that?" Tiffanie asked and the others also looked as if they wanted to ask the same thing.
"The power that was given was equivalent to rank S, but because Gladius had entered it to check and it turned out to be safe, I thought it was just an ordinary Rank B dungeon, but it turns out I was wrong," Wein said with a little hoarseness and difficulty breathing.
"So we can find out by feeling its mana power?" Alain asked later.
"Just a guess," Wein answered again briefly, but no one knew what he meant; he spoke as if he knew everything.
"Okay, I want to focus on the missing people first." Academy Head Claudia then activated a large-scale projection on the empty wall behind us to our right.
The light seemed to send an image on the wall, which made the wall show an image, and that image was a student of the Aetheris Academy.
"Did the school not call any government parties or agencies to carry out this investigation?" Alain asked.
"No, we were pressured not to share this information with the government and outside media." Academy Head Claudia said in reply.
"Who dares to suppress schools belonging to these 3 kingdoms?" Kylo asked; as usual, he only had extraordinary muscles but not his brain.
"Lordmurt Company," Wein answered, then he continued. "Really? Academy Head Claudia."
They have extensive knowledge. I don't understand political matters like this because I was born into a noble family but are low-class nobles who are always despised in Cyfil.
Meanwhile, Wein and Academy Head Claudia were born into large noble families which made them understand the politics of this world.
"Correct." Academy Head Claudia did not hide as she answered that without further ado.
"Then who is the biggest shareholder in this school?" Teressa asked; usually, she was silent.
His sister, Lain, immediately turned to him across the table and said that not everything can be arranged by donors.
However, Teressa still chuckled and wanted to question Academy Principal Claudia about this.
"The Arkbold royal family is in first place, followed by the Elf kingdom, and the third is…" Academy Head Claudia gave a signal to Wein as if asking if it was okay to do this?
Wein smiled slightly and nodded his head several times to answer that calmly.
"The third is Grimveil and then Lordmurt." Academy Head Claudia continued, did the Grimveil family always like to be humble like that? I think shareholder number three is Lordmurt because it's not stated in the media.
"Why do you bow to a family whose strength is only number four?" Tiffany asked.
"This is beyond the limit I can give you, let's focus on the missing students first." Academy Head Claudia said. It was clear that it was far away but it was like they had made an agreement with the Lordmurt family.
"Okay then, is there a mission we have to do?" Alain asked, he looked tired and wanted to finish all this quickly.
"I don't want you to look for the missing students, just please find out who is behind this before winter break." Said Academy Head Claudia who then stood up from the chair and immediately turned her back to all of us.
"I have something else to do, so I'm begging you." He said then left the room, all of us who were very tired were forced to rest temporarily in this room.
Wein Grimveil POV :
Well... I thought I could pack my things to go back to town to meet my aunt and bodyguard but I got this sudden mission, well at least it didn't take up my vacation time.
When I woke up I didn't feel the pain in my legs, it was just my hands that I couldn't move completely, was it because of the divine use that the dark man told me about?
I wonder how long it will take until I fully recover so I can help find the mastermind behind this incident.
I closed my eyes for a moment began to relax my body, and leaned calmly on the chair, which made me sink slightly down.
Some also do the same thing because they are too tired to go back to the treatment room or their own room.
