Chapter 35 - Sabotage

Narisa Florence :

The question is, how can everyone be looking at me, I feel fluttered when I'm in a place with little lighting, as if someone is stalking me.

I was returning to the center to help Wein, but because the distance was quite far, I felt that I was being watched by several people.

The whistling arrows tearing through the air approached me from behind me with my reflexes and unbalanced body making it impossible to stand.

I wanted to try to turn but it was too late due to slow reaction speed and poor mana usage, preparing to push my calves and bend my knees I pushed the tile floor making the wind scatter around my feet and pushing my body to jump high to avoidthat arrow.

I immediately looked down, and the fast arrow passed my feet and flew into a wall in front of me. I landed after a few seconds in the air and turned my body around, looking at who shot the arrow.

"The journey to the center was delayed, I was intercepted," I reported.

Looking back at who attacked me, we were ordered not to use weapons if he didn't attack and was caught or if he was already cornered, also regarding school rules that prohibit wounding and intimidation using weapons.

I looked around turning in all directions until I saw a shining twinkle reflecting the light from the top of the inventory building, the object got bigger the longer I looked until I realized that it was an arrow, I dodged by tilting my body and stepping back a few steps from there, the distance was quite far, making me think twice about paying attention to that person's presence.

The arrows are slow, so I don't think it's something I can take seriously, and it's not dangerous.

I ran again, this time using my mana which I had just used to increase my speed and physical strength as well as brain freshness.

I hurried to remove my presence from his wide vision because he was on top of a fairly tall building.

"Narisa towards the center!" I gave the latest information and continued running until it was time for me to arrive at the center and see Wein, who was running towards the north.

I arrived behind Wein; he seemed to be able to see that I was behind him, who was in the north, and he turned to me once again.

"You're pretty fast." Sneered Wein, he muttered, running even faster towards the north, which was close to the eastern region.

"Wein?" I looked for him, but he disappeared from my sight, and somewhere, I didn't feel his presence again.

Until a voice muttered from behind me — No, from above me I think, I looked up to see him standing quietly.

I wanted to know what was happening and pushing my feet with the wind made wind pads appear on the soles of my feet so I could land with the least sound and minimum damage.

"What is it?" I lowered the volume of my voice so that it wouldn't be heard other than the two of us.

"I got the news that there is Rucas in front of us who is doing something." The answer was very flat and focused on walking slowly.

I could see something glowing but surely some people would think it was a street lamp until I got closer and saw someone fiddling with something that looked like a beacon.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Something only he knows." Wein's answer was flat and his volume was vague.

I questioned myself, why would someone want to do this to endanger themselves? What wages can pay for his life forever?

Then I raised my gaze slightly, looking at the large bar with the words 'Bread!' clearly displayed on it, but that wasn't what I meant by Loraine, who was behind it.

He was seen standing and stalking Rucas, too. Is that why Wein came here?

"Ready!" Rucas shouted, and then he lifted the object like a trophy that he was showing to other people.

I don't know what the item is for, but something that will cause disaster awaits it, according to my hunch.

He placed the device on an empty wooden city in the shape of a cube, he placed the object facing the sky and prepared to do the thing he had been waiting for: pressing the button.

"Wait! What is that thing?" I said loudly making Rucas surprised because of my sudden arrival.

Grimveil Wein:

Damn, why is he so reckless? Can't you just observe and wait from up here?

I don't know what that damn Rucas will do to him.

"Permitted to destroy!" This second piece of information from Academy Principal Claudia is brief.

I prepared to fire a powerful projectile that could destroy the device, my hands were already in position if he pressed or did something to Narisa.

"Damn it, why is the student council secretary here so late at night?" Rucas argued irritably. He cleaned his hands with his hands and walked closer to Narisa slowly.

"Get away!" Hit Narisa but she continued her way and approached Narisa and grinned slyly.

I looked up to see the girl with sparkling white and pink hair from a distance here, her face looked worried because of her reckless friend.

"You are so sweet, miss!" Rucas teased. He was very close to Narisa now, but Narisa was just waiting quietly for something so she could do something.

I don't understand what he is waiting for, I think it's time for me to shoot and destroy the equipment behind him because there is no longer any protection.

I prepared lightning from my hand but I combined it with some elements of fire and darkness to make it a little faster and more effective.

Directing my open palm towards the tool which was very easy for me to aim, it didn't take long, and the timing was perfect this time.

Narisa hit Rucas' face hard, and I took out my projectile which was electric in shape but with a dark color carrying flames that spread long from my palm.

Rucas fell on his butt. He was annoyed and then shocked after hearing an explosion from behind, a sound like wood shattering, and some metal being hit by lightning.

I hid, not knowing what happened after that but I tried to peek a little because I don't think he knew where this came from either.

"No! No! Damn, you guys!" He cursed.

He turned to his tool and ran there, looking for traces of its shapeless debris.

Trying to put the objects back together was like a puzzle but it was very difficult because the attack destroyed the complex object with one attack and burned part of it.

He grabbed some debris and lifted it much to his chagrin, gripping tightly to the pieces of the tool that tore his skin and his angry face.

He then stood up, looking for who did this, looking in all directions in annoyance and anger; he didn't care about Narisa anymore and held a grudge against the one who destroyed the device.

"There's no need to hide you damn bastard!" He cursed once again in annoyance, hit his feet hard on the floor, and tried to search for the person with his mana.

Until he dies, he won't be able to find me who is in stealth.

Disappearing in the darkness, I didn't see Loraine wanting to also show her rash actions. I saw her pressing the button on the device in her ear.

I had to stay hidden so as not to be suspected and made enemies by Rucas, so I chose to remain silent until there was another opportunity without showing myself.

Even though I wanted to show myself arrogantly to Rucas to look cool, I think there was another purpose for Narisa to sacrifice herself.

"Damn! Still, no one admits it, huh?" He shouted loudly this time, then moved away from the location, he ran away quickly and ran in a direction, before running he put on his head covering first and ran in a direction I didn't know.

"Should we follow?" Narisa asked, this time it was just me and her in this sound room so only me and her could hear.

"No need," I answered. "Just let him whine like a child." I continued after that I released the use of the stealth magic that I had been using. p
