Beowulf stood at the center of the ring with his hands to the side and claws out. He constantly shifted his head, looking at the other wrestlers. They all stood at different edges of the ring, each hesitating to make the first move against him.
"Ah, screw it!" The Tough Guy shouted, whipping his chain toward Beowulf. Beowulf saw this, ducked, got on all fours, and ran toward The Tough Guy. The chain missed Beowulf as he ducked.
Beowulf charged at The Tough Guy on all fours, approaching him with great speed. The sight of this caused The Tough Guy to feel fear, and it showed in his wide eyes as he moved several feet away from Beowulf.
The Tough Guy quickly recalled his chain. It retracted and shortened at a great speed, almost close to reaching Beowulf as he ran toward him. The question was: would the chain reach Beowulf before he got to The Tough Guy, or would Beowulf reach The Tough Guy before the chain got to him?
Beowulf was a few feet away from The Tough Guy, with the chain still on his tail. He leaped toward The Tough Guy and was inches away from him in mid-air. He brought out his claws and swiped at The Tough Guy but was pulled back, causing him to miss by only a few inches.
Beowulf dropped to the ring and felt something wrapped around his leg. He turned back and saw that it was The Tough Guy's chain. He looked back at The Tough Guy, who had a grin on his face. The Tough Guy grabbed the chain with both hands and began to spin. As he did, Beowulf started to spin as well.
At first, his body scraped along the wrestling ring's canvas, but he slowly rose into the air, spinning at The Tough Guy's height. It seemed that The Tough Guy's chain didn't just elongate to extreme lengths but also had the strength to carry heavy objects. It had to, considering The Tough Guy was spinning Beowulf around like a ragdoll.
The Tough Guy stopped spinning and yanked Beowulf in a direction, wrapping the chain around his leg in the process. Beowulf flew mid-air toward The Twins.
The Twins used the ring's ropes to propel themselves forward. The short-haired twin went for a lariat, and the long-haired twin performed a dropkick.
Both of The Twins' attacks crashed into Beowulf. The short-haired twin's lariat hit his neck, and the long-haired twin's dropkick crashed into Beowulf's legs. They both passed him after the attacks, which caused Beowulf's body to spin in the direction of The Heat.
The Heat caught Beowulf with both hands at the waist of his joggers. As he did, Beowulf felt great heat run through his body. He began to sweat. He was burning, but it kept getting hotter and hotter.
The Heat grabbed Beowulf tightly at his waist and slammed him into the floor. As Beowulf's body crashed onto the canvas, an explosion occurred on the spot he landed, sending him flying and tumbling away from The Heat.
"I said it before, Jensen, and I'll say it again! Damn!" Daryl exclaimed. "Despite Beowulf's claim of coming out the victor of this royal rumble, I don't see it happening anytime soon, Jensen. This match shows just how much hate can unite people. These guys were ready to tear each other limb by limb a few moments ago but have put all their anger into taking out one wrestler! And did you see the move made by The Heat!? A powerbomb. LITERALLY! Beowulf exploded! That was awesome!"
"I agree, Daryl! That powerbomb move WAS awesome! But I don't agree with how you're seeing Beowulf's situation!" Jensen exclaimed. "I mean, yeah, things are looking pretty dicey for him, and he doesn't seem to have many options, but... maybe, just maybe, Beowulf has some hidden tricks he's yet to discover."
Beowulf lay on his stomach on the ring's canvas. The remaining four wrestlers all approached him from different sides. They finally reached him. The first to attempt an attack was The Heat.
The Heat raised his leg, and his boot was set on fire. He went for a stomp, but Beowulf rolled out of the way. Then, he brought out his claws, got on all fours, and ran from The Heat.
The next to try something was The Tough Guy. He whipped his chain constantly at Beowulf, but Beowulf dodged every single strike. He rolled, leaped, and ducked, all while remaining on all fours.
He managed to get away from the chain. Next, The Twins tried to stop him. The short-haired twin tried grabbing Beowulf into a submission, but Beowulf was too fast and slipped past him. The long-haired twin tried kicking Beowulf in the face. Beowulf saw this and reacted quickly by ducking the incoming kick and leaping past The long-haired twin.
Beowulf kept running without stopping until he reached the ring's ropes, far away from the other wrestlers. He looked back and saw that none of them had pursued him. He smirked.
"I guess my thinking was right. I'm faster than all of them, too fast for them to chase me around," Beowulf muttered. Then The Tough Guy whipped his chain, extending it to where Beowulf had reached. Beowulf quickly rolled over to evade the chain.
The chain attacks didn't stop there. The Tough Guy then swung his chain sideways in an attempt to hit Beowulf, causing Beowulf to evade by ducking. After two failed attempts to hit Beowulf with his chain, The Tough Guy called back his chain, leaving Beowulf on edge. He knew that was not the last of the attacks.
"Damn it! They may not be as fast as me, but that chain is still a problem. I can't think of any way to fight them all. Unless..." Beowulf looked at the ring's ropes. He had an idea.
"Okay, this can work, but if I'm going to take on all of them, I need to gain a lot of momentum." Beowulf rested on the ropes and used them to slingshot himself toward the other wrestlers. He was performing a Prowler's Pounce.
In mid-air, he traveled at great speed toward the other four wrestlers. They all prepared for him. The Tough Guy swung his chain toward Beowulf. Beowulf couldn't dodge in mid-air, so he didn't bother trying.
The Tough Guy's chain wrapped around Beowulf's arms, and The Tough Guy pulled Beowulf toward him. As Beowulf was inches away from reaching The Tough Guy, he brought out his claws and swiped at The Tough Guy's face, performing a move similar to a lariat.
The Tough Guy fell on his back with claw marks on his face, letting go of his chain. Beowulf landed on all fours past The Tough Guy, with the chains on his arms loosened and fallen off. He used all his strength to leap toward another one of the ring's ropes, evading the remaining wrestlers in the process.
He crashed into the ropes and used them to perform another Prowler's Pounce, this one far faster than the first. This time, Beowulf used both his claws to knock down The Twins, injuring them just as he had injured The Tough Guy.
He landed and leaped toward another rope and used it to perform another Prowler's Pounce, this time knocking down The Heat, who was too slow to react to Beowulf, who was moving even faster than before.
They all got back up, but Beowulf kept using the Prowler's Pounce to knock them down again and again. After some successions of Prowler's Pounces, Beowulf had become a blur, knocking down the four wrestlers from every direction in the ring at the same time, moving too fast for any of them to react.
"What did I tell you, Daryl!? I knew he wasn't out of this match, and boy, was I right!" Jensen exclaimed.
"Well, what can I say!? When you're right, you're right, Jensen!" Daryl exclaimed. "Beowulf may not be out of this race, but are the others!? Beowulf can't keep doing what he's doing forever, although it would be pretty damn entertaining if he could! I wonder if the others will have the strength, the will, to fight Beowulf when he's done!"
Beowulf had finally finished the many successions of Prowler's Pounces. He landed on all fours at the center of the ring and stood up to see the damage he had wrought.
The other wrestlers—they were all down. Not only that, but they had claw marks all over their bodies. They all groaned in pain. Beowulf grinned at the sight, proud of his work. None of them seemed to have the energy to fight for a while.
The Twins managed to get up by leaning on each other.
"Want some more!?" Beowulf taunted.
They looked at each other and nodded. They fist-bumped, and then—they started to merge into each other, forming a giant.
Beowulf's jaw dropped. "My God! He's bigger than Draco!"
