Chapter 11 - Chapter POV - Otherworldly Man

"Report, chief. We've searched the west side and there are only other Beastman tribes there. If we go west we'll just be fighting over resources with them."

That was the report from our partner Billy. They were tasked with exploring the western side of the whisperwood forest.

Beastmen are more nomadic than us elves so if we meet in the west now, we might meet again in the east in a few weeks.

It was just an ordinary report so the chief ignored it.

"Next..."

The next report was from Mali. They had a reconnaissance team in a nearby human city. Mli and her team were endowed with a special magic called shapeshifting. They could transform into humans at any time. The limit for their use was one and a half days.

"Chief, I have good and bad information. Which one do you want to hear first?"

Mali said that with her annoying innocent face.

(Why not say it directly?)

I complained in my heart. I felt like beating her up but I had to wait for this meeting to finish.

"Say it well first."

The chief said that.

"Humans are running out of food because of the war between themselves. It seems that a civil war in the great empire of Luminara has broken out. It is estimated that a month from now or maybe less, the empire will split into several kingdoms"

The chieftain who heard this, jumped straight up from his chair and danced with joy.

"Feel it, greedy human!!!"

The chieftain involved was extremely satisfied. He had been holding back feelings of oppression for a long time. After all, the chieftain had felt the pain of being expelled since he was five years old.

He was currently 110 years old and he had been holding back his resentment for over a century.

"Uhum... well, then what's the bad news?"

The chief returned to his sitting position and tried to look authoritative again. Unfortunately everyone must be thinking the same thing as me.

"The bad news is that the humans intend to conduct a massive exploration of this whisperwood forest."

The chief was immediately petrified in his seat. It was only natural since we were also directly affected.

Doesn't that mean we should evacuate immediately?

The village head could now only hold his head due to a headache. He didn't want to respond and immediately asked for more information.

Some of the information wasn't very useful and now it was my and Gil's turn.

"Chief, we have important information. We found a livable location where the shelter is also quite good."

The chieftain who heard that became very excited. Wasn't this the solution to the bad news brought by Mali?

"Ooohhh.... Flora, tell me more about that location."

I then told him the location of the whisperwood center including a house that appeared suddenly. After hearing about the house, the chief became even more excited.

"A house that appeared suddenly, right? I'm sure it's the place of the otherworldly human. I'm sure he will definitely be able to help us solve this problem. We should migrate there"

The chief became very excited to hear my information. Just then, Gil suddenly interrupted.

"Chief, haven't we still not verified that? Also, what does the otherworldly human mean? Can we trust those otherworldly humans?"

Right, it's too vague even though the location we're investigating is very good. The reason I say good is, the clearing is wider than here.

The water is clear and delicious and the fish and grasses to berries are worth eating. However, there are also troublesome monsters.

"Precisely because of that, if we can cooperate with the humans of the other world, our lives will be guaranteed. Just so you know. Emperor Alexander I became successful thanks to otherworldly humans. They have crazy skills that we don't have in this world."

Hearing that, everyone was shocked. This was information that they just found out. Especially about crazy skills. That meant we would really be losers before them.

Finally, with the absolute confidence of the chief, we all migrated towards the center of the forest that I told you about.

"Big sister, where are we going?"

My younger sister, Rose, asked me in confusion.

"We're moving to a more decent place than now. Are you happy, Rose?"

The current place is too bad because finding food is very difficult there. That's because we have to compete with the other tribes in this forest. The elven tribe alone has been divided into about 3 tribes from what I understand not to mention Beastman and dwarves.

We walked at a very slow pace while constantly replenishing food supplies and making makeshift tents. Everyone was also surprised at how easy it was to find food. Even so, our journey still took almost three weeks.

Fortunately, there were no surprise attacks from dangerous monsters. If there had been, our journey would have been even slower.

We finally arrived at the location in the morning. But as soon as we arrived at the location of the house,

"auuuuuu...grrr, graaaackk"

A Dire wolf appeared to greet us.

It was very scary. When we were attacked by the black wolf, we might have been able to withstand it but now, in front of us was a dire wolf. A disaster-bringing wolf monster. Its level was only one level below fenrir which was categorized as a calamity bringer.

The two guards in front, Erwin and Asher immediately trembled in fear. This was not a level they could handle.

However, fortunately the owner came out...

"This Aura....."

We were all immediately shocked by the aura of the man who came out of the house. That man really looked scary. The seemingly unintentional intimidation made all of us immediately point our guns at him.

The man became very angry at our actions. Fortunately, the chief immediately asked for forgiveness-

Actually, no, we were saved because a girl of rose's age came out of the house. The girl's aura was also strong but not intimidating.

In short, after a conversation between the chief and the owner of the house named Rio, we finally arrived here.

He allowed us to take his food of fruits on the northeast side of his house. Once we got there, everyone was surprised once again.

You see, apart from the fields, there were even iron mines, salt mines, gold mines, mines we didn't know about and many plants we didn't know about.

The location had reached the camp that Gil and I had made. It had all been fenced off with wood from the trees around here. Strangely, the wood made into this fence also gave off a strong intimidation as if telling us not to enter. Fortunately, we were told to enter by the owner of the house so we were sure nothing would happen.

Slowly, we started picking the fruits available here. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single fruit that I knew. As soon as we ate it, a fresh taste that we hadn't felt in a long time immediately appeared in our bodies. It was truly delicious. But, something we didn't expect was ....

"My body's strength has increased..."

That's right, the strength in all of our bodies increased drastically. I don't know if it was just a minute or not but I'm still grateful for this. At least, we wouldn't die this time.
