//Herta Space Station//
Herta and Amon were having a nice chat face to face. This was the real Herta and she was curious.
"My dear assistant, what else are you hiding from me?" Amon sipped as he smiled gently, his eyes narrowed before he replied "Pretty much anything." Through the grey fog that creeped into reality he handed her a business card.
Herta stared at it "Your honorific name seems to be a bit inflated don't you think? And the spirit world?" Amon chuckled, "The Spirit World is the dimension in which my divine kingdom sits."
He paused before opening a door on the spot before beckoning Herta to follow. A bright array of colors and eeriness were present in the air. The colors were mixed and not in a pretty way, everything here felt wrong. Amon rested his hand on her before explaining as a layer of fog seemed to follow her.
"Spirit World doesn't distinguish between directions. The past, present, or future even intersect here. It is like infinite knowledge, information, and illusions all spiritually gathered and compressed into a strange sea. It doesn't follow usual concepts and knowledge and also houses contracted creatures."
Herta looked around as they walked together. Some of the strange entities left them alone while others looked away. One conclusion was certain, they all feared and respected the man she was walking with. Amon pointed up past the fog, "Above the Spirit World is where I reside, or sometimes reside. The Sefirah Castle, the access to the historical void, history itself."
Herta was noting everything down only to ask a strange question "I suspect that this place can be used to move faster considering it has no direction?" Amon nodded "One can indeed use the Spirit World to travel faster but I wouldn't recommend it."
Amon pointed to the grey fog rolling around her. "That is the aura of Sefirah Castle, without it, you might encounter hostiles. The grey fog is keeping you safe from the residents of the Spirit World. Of course there are some residents that are neutral or friendly."
Suddenly a door appeared once again, "I suppose it is time Miss Herta. It has been a great pleasure to be your assistant. However, it is time for me to enjoy a story from a first person perspective."
Herta nodded as she walked through the door and appeared as a doll. Once again everything was back to normal while Amon handed his letter of resignation to Herta, effective once he joins the Nameless.
Soon alarms began blaring across the space station as the anti-matter legion started invading. Of course, Amon had a few favourites he would never allow to be injured but as for everyone else? A little hardship comes a long way.
Immediately a few doors appeared once again throughout the space station leading most to the shelter. A Herta doll activated before walking right beside him, "In the end, you still feel a fondness for this place." Amon smiled "I used to be poor. It was hard to scrape a single pound together, or converted a 100 credits. How could I not love Miss Herta and her paychecks?"
Herta snorted in disbelief as she scrutinised him, "You? Poor? Please." Her head looked at him with disdain as he sighed "Why do you think I got so good at escape, fooling and stealing?" Amon remembered when he first transmigrated. The system provided no monetary support. Unlike other system users he read about in which the system rewarded them with money or shop items, his was simply a slaver.
Herta stared at him before smirking "You aren't lying. The great old one, dominator of the spirit world was broke." Amon smiled "Anyways Miss Herta, I assume evacuating everyone to the shelter deserves a performance bonus?"
Herta immediately turned tail and ran, "Discuss that with Asta, I'm not the IPC."
Amon chuckled before pulling out the giant hammer that Herta wielded with her puppet bodies. "Quite durable and light." His senses soon locked onto the two self-invited guests as he smiled. Herta's hammer was truly stress relieving, smashing apart the legions with just a giant hammer was almost the equivalent of a rage room.
Though he was tempted to smite Silver Wolf from afar due to a few nasty comments. Though he did curse her with misfortune as she would trip every few moments and at the crucial gaming moments, she would fail and whiff.
His grin spread as soon sensed their proximity. The mirrors that were placed about the curio storage area were already freaking Silver Wolf out with the amount of times she had tripped and fell. It all started from when she made those snark comments about Kafka's so called eldritch big brother.
Eventually they passed by and stopped at the mirror room with the curios. Silver Wolf scanned around before figuring out where Herta hid the stellaron.
"Quite the location isn't it?"
Silver Wolf stared at the mirror of herself with a monocle. A loud yelp was heard as Silver Wolf hid behind Kafka. Kafka's head turned around as she glared at the Silver Wolf in the mirror.
The mirror rippled as the Silver Wolf within the mirror stepped out and shifted into Amon. "It's been a while dear Kafka."
Amon kept his smile despite the crimson blade resting on his throat. Amon chuckled inwardly, "No wonder, she got her fake smiles from me." He thought. Kafka trembled a bit, "You just upped an disappeared without a word, leaving only a single note. I've been hearing news of you from all around different planets. All I hear is you going around and acting whimsical."
Amon let her vent as he gave a creepy grin towards Silver Wolf. Kafka released the blade, "No perhaps you already knew that my destiny was to be with the stellaron hunters." Amon's smile never left his face.
He sighed as he adjusted his robes "You know I never left you right?" Kafka raised an eyebrow about to tear the monocle from his face. Amon clapped once as he transformed into a raven with a distinctive feather marking around it's right eye.
Kafka paled "That raven was you?" Amon smiled "To be more precise, ravens are like a symbol of me. Would be strange if I just gave you any raven. No it was me, an avatar of me."
Silver Wolf paled remembering all the times she had teased and bullied the raven when Kafka wasn't present. The the creepy grin from Amon confirmed it, she was on his hit list. Silver Wolf cursed herself, she had attained a legendary achievement, getting on the shit list of an eldritch god.
Amon sat down as he watched Kafka do her job, "You'll see me more often now. I've decided to participate in this story. I will experience the story from a first person perspective. Perhaps I may even regain something I've lost."
Kafka watched as the receptacle was created, a grey haired girl soon appeared as Kafka pushed in the receptacle. Amon watched with interest as Kafka acted according to the script. "How come you never acted so gentle with me?"
Immediately Kafka glared at him, "Perhaps I've shown you a side exclusive to you?" Silver Wolf remained silent hoping to be forgotten.
His eyes closed as he waved the two off. "I'll be seeing you dear Kafka, and as for you Silver Wolf... Be careful, I heard that a new type of lightning has been discovered to be able to appear in the void of space." Silver Wolf tugged at Kafka "Hey, this is your big eldritch brother we are talking about, he's threatening me!"
Amon waited and waited as the grey haired girl soon awakened. "Hello there, my name is Amon. Do you remember yours?" Stelle stared at him, black met gold. "Stelle." Amon nodded as he lent her a hand, "It's time to get up, I'm Herta's assistant. The space station is currently being attacked and I found you here." Stelle nodded as two people soon appeared.
A pink haired paramecium and a Xianzhou dragon. March 7th immediately screamed as she pointed at him "Dan Heng, it's the Monocle Horror it's present in the station as well." Amon was feeling a bit frustrated, true but rude. Dan Heng sighed "That's the assistant Madam Herta mentioned."
Amon smiled "Miss Herta has informed me of the members of the Astral Express, Miss March 7th and Mr Dan Heng." Dan Heng shifted a bit as Amon could feel he was a bit uncomfortable around him.
Amon waved them over, "Come I know a shortcut."
The door they entered from opened as they found themselves at elevator entrance. March 7th immediately exclaimed "Woah, how did we even get here? How is this even possible?" Dan Heng kept his gaze on Amon with suspicion as Amon raised a finger to his lips.
"It's a mystery."
