Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Lord of the Mysteries

Amon stared at the system window with a sigh of relief. The accommodation of the three uniquenesses had been successful and with this his long goal had been achieved. He was not the Amon known as the Angel of Time, but rather the human Amon.

A human that had been transmigrated with a system. And now he was free of those tasks. Free to travel the worlds without threat of tasks and punishments. He stared at the last system window he'd see.

[Congratulations on your promotion of Pillar of the Universe]

[It's been a great time watching your growth, my duty is done and with this my last system message]

[You came so far, I'm proud of you]

All of a sudden the system window glitched and ripped itself apart from reality.

Amon adjusted the monocle on his right eye as he sighed. He chuckled thinking that if he were to meet the real Amon it'd be a shocker. In fact he was sure that Medici would faint on the spot. His large hat pointed hat was in fact the Fool uniqueness and the Door uniqueness had become a small pocket watch attached to his robes. Due to the familiarity and his namesake he decided to keep the Amon drip as he'd refer to it.

The crystal monocle on his right eye, the stuff of nightmares, the Error uniqueness. All of these came from years of hard work and suffering near deaths and soul death. All because of the system, but the results speak for themselves. There were few that could stand up to him now.

He smiled at the empty space sensing the gazes of various outer gods that did not belong to any world. He flashed his monocle watching them flinch and start gazing at other outer gods hoping none would suddenly sprout a monocle on their right eye equivalent.

Amon chuckled realising that the original Amon was onto something, it was truly amusing watching them fear him. However, the overwhelming feeling that he felt currently was loneliness and lack of aim. He had achieved his goal of becoming the Lord of the Mysteries. But what came after?

Amon sighed as he floated in space and laid down, perhaps he could finally visit those worlds he had seen in his original world before he died. He sat up as he thought about if before looking at the pocket watch.

A mystical door appeared with no set coordinates. Amon smiled "What's life without a bit of a gamble?" The door had no set end coordinate and would spit him out randomly. Whether it was Warhammer 40k or it was some other fucked up world, he'd take it.

The mystical door opened up as Amon stepped through. Once again he was in space but there was a clear difference. This was a world set in space, that narrowed down his location to a few worlds. Close by he soon arrived in a planet that seemed to be called Pteruges-V. A small city called New Babylon, how strange for a moment he thought he was in the Type/Moon universe.

He soon wandered around looking at the various sights, it was a dream come true? Amon immediately gazed at the source of a gaze. It seemed to be a giant bug, Amon sneered as he realised what world he was in and who it was.

"Get lost Propagation" He revealed slightly the madness and mysteries behind his existence. He felt the bug screech in pain and retreat his gaze. Amon huffed as he rubbed his shoulders just trying to get rid of the feeling of being watched by a bug.

After a long slumber, the first thing he wanted was a good meal. He scanned around looking for the richest person around as the wallet soon appeared in his hands. He took the cash before throwing out the wallet. He had gold and other treasures deposited in a corner of the Sefirah castle but he couldn't be bothered to do exchanges.

He wandered for a bit before going to the fanciest place he could find and ordering the most popular dish. His taste buds finally had some good food after that nonstop grind to promote to Pillar. He finally sighed in relief, he could finally relax. No more rush to promote sequences, no more risks of losing control during those moments. Of course that didn't mean he couldnt lose control now.

It just meant he was very unlikely to lose control now in his state. Unlike Klein in the original story, there was no Celestial Worthy hidden somewhere trying to take him over.

However one thing was strange, these people didn't know fear. Quite strange he thought. A little bit of a rummage through the spirit world and he knew the situation. "Devil hunters eh?" He adjusted his monocle before heading to find the nearest hotel he could find.

However destruction soon ensued. Amon seemed to lampoon more often than Klein at this rate. Fire soon spread across the city as devils soon appeared. One appeared from behind him only to be ensnared in tentacles and crushed. Amon pointed his finger at the others and started miming a bullet as each devil was shot through the head.

"All those years of playing FPS haven't let me down"

He walked through the chaos of the place watching as the people who lacked fear took advantage of the chaos and started looting and killing others. It was truly horror for the standard person but Amon who had gone through numerous challenges simply stared in amusement. It was like maxing out your level then going back to level 1 with everything intact.

He soon noticed a girl in battered clothes and rags. Immediately he knew who it was, Kafka. Kafka as a child truly looked pitiful. Amon slowly walked up to the girl who stayed sitting in the corner without moving and without fear. "Interesting."

He soon approached the girl and crouched down to meet her eye level. "Hello, little miss. Mind telling this big brother why aren't you running to safety?" The little Kafka stared at the strange "big brother" before pointing behind him "Devil." Amon smiled "I'm aware, thank you." In an instant the devil was frozen. Tentacles soon emerged from a door and dragged it in as screams of a devil soon were heard from the slightly open door.

Kafka stood frozen, it was said that her people couldn't feel fear. But this strange uneasiness and discomfort that she was feeling, could it be the fear that people talked about. It was eerie, this big brother was the first to invoke a sense of this so called fear.

Amon held out a hand, "It's not safe here, I'll bring you to the shelter." Kafka followed the big brother as they eventually arrived at the shelter for safety. Kafka finally asked "Are you a devil hunter mister?" Amon chuckled "Me? A devil hunter? No. I'm not a devil hunter. I'm not even from here. You can call me Amon."

Kafka nodded as they sat together in a single spot.

Kafka finally asked "Why did you help me?" Amon looked surprised before handing her a small business card. "Because your destiny lies elsewhere. It's not your time yet." Kafka stared at the business card with only words that sounded like a long list of titles.

"Lord of Mysteries, King of Space-Time, Beacon of Destiny, Embodiment of Sefirah Castle and

Dominator of the Spirit World."

Amon smiled if you ever need help in the future, you can call me using that. It's my honorific name. Kafka nodded and kept the card, "I should also mention that you don't have to worry about the safety of that card. It's indestructible" Kafka immediately tried tearing and stomping the card only leaving it the same as before.

"I won't be here for long. But I'll take care of you for a while at least until you can get up on your own two feet. Just think of me as a temporary caretaker."

Amon stared at the night sky before chuckling as his avatars had already spread across the universe. Who knows by the time he ends up leaving Kafka what reputation he might have.
