Twenny has breakfast, chocolate and bread. She washes up and readies herself, she steps outside to see Flint waiting for her. He has a broad smile as he stares at Twenny and she stares back. Twenny clears her throat, "Ahem….Aren't you supposed to say something?"
Flint is flustered, "Ah, You look beautiful today." Flint smiles again, then. *BANG* Twenny use a stick to hit him. Flint holds his head as if he's been wronged, Twenny walks past him and turns to him, "You're supposed to say 'Good morning teacher'."
Flint is surprised, "Eh?" Twenny grips the stick as Flint shivers, "G-Good morning teacher!" he bows. Twenny smiles, "Very good. Follow." Twenny leads Flint out of the village to a plain just on the other side of the village. Flint gets curious and asks, "So, what are you going to teach me?"
Twenny grins, "Hmph, it's a surprise." In Twenny's head, "I have no idea….. Well, I guess I can teach him energy sense." They arrive at the center of the plain and she points to the ground as Flint sits. Twenny opens her arms as the wind blows against her, making her hair flutter.
Twenny starts, "First, you have to learn to sense EP. Everything around us is energy, from the air we breathe, the water we drink, the ground we walk, our bodies. Everything is energy, your first lesson is to detect this energy around you."
Flint gets confused, "How do I do that?" he rubs his head. "What skills do you have?" Said Twenny as she basks in the wind.
Flint glances at a screen before him, "I have Information Magic, Physical Enhancements, Dragon Kin and Rune Mastery. Dragon cry and Dragon Instinct is a subskill? That's what it says with Information magic." Flint tells her all his skills.
Twenny stares high up into the sky, something was happening there. She frowns but Flint doesn't notice. She continues the lesson. "Use Physical Enhancements and observe how EP moves in and out of your body."
Flint closes his eyes and activates the skill but couldn't sense it, "Urgh, I can't sense it. The skill just activates."
Twenny looks down at him and smiles, "Of course, you aren't supposed to get it on your first try. Try again until you can sense the flow of EP from your body, where the EP is produced to activate the skill. Practice it multiple times and you'll feel it in your body, then we continue with the lesson."
Flint is frustrated, "Argh, I thought it would be easier, but I won't give up." He closes his eyes and continues to practice. Twenny smiles at him as she makes an illusion of herself before him. She taps her feet on the ground as she flies at insane speeds to the clouds, she observes what's happening before here.
2 devils (Demon gods) have appeared as they surveyed the land.
Devil1 observes the land, "Will this place be good enough? There aren't enough sacrifices here." Twenny points 2 fingers at them as 2 orbs appear on them aimed at their heads.
"No," Said the second devil, "We have to move on." They flew for a while and Devil2 glances around, "Even all the monsters are gone. We'll find the sacrifices somewhere else." Twenny stops with the orbs disappearing and the devils leave. Twenny scoffs and starts descending. She stops, "Oh whatever." and pursues the devils.
The devils flew quickly as they had crossed about 2kilometers when suddenly 2 orbs hit them in the head. INSTANT KILL, which erases all traces of their bodies. Twenny appears from the clouds as she looks at the dust from the corpses. "I don't care what you do but your actions affect Flint in the long run." She sighs, "How the heck does this world have knowledge on Abyssal realm summons. What a pain." She flew back to Flint.
Twenny notices she's being watched but she doesn't even care. She glances above her, "If you're going to spy on me then try to keep up." *WHOOOSS* Twenny moves at the speed of light leaving an afterimage of her sticking her tongue out mockingly. Whoever was spying got angry but couldn't track her.
Twenny arrives noticing Flint to be on his 15th try, she descends to her illusion and makes it look like she never left. She cheers him on, "You can do it Farm boy. Use the skill till you feel the energy course through your body."
Flint smiles wryly, "Ri~ght." He keeps on practicing till noon. His stomach growls, "I think I should find something to eat. Uhhhh"
Twenny is lazing on a bed of flowers jolts up, "Time for lunch." Flint's thoughts, "Why is teacher sleeping when I'm busy practicing?" Twenny moves her hands around as food comes from her storage ring. She brings out a bowl of rice and stew with meat, Flint drools at the scent. Twenny hands a bowl to him, "Here you go."
"Thanks" Flint accepts a bowl and digs in. Twenny got curious about something. "Hey, if you're here practicing, who's helping your dad on the farm?" Flint smiles feeling Twenny's concern, "Oh, don't worry. We're done with the planting so we just have to walk around the farm for weeds. Harvest is in 4 months so we've got time though I have to help him from time to time." Flint says as he eats.
"I understand." Twenny looks to the skies, her thoughts. "Farming huh, is there a skill for that? Arrmitsha could gather info on farming and I can generate a skill from it. Maybe, I'll make that one of the rewards for his mission." They finished eating, Flint got back to training and Twenny lazes as a snot bubble could be seen. It's strange seeing someone who doesn't need sleep sleeping, but she's bored even if she uses sleep spells.
Back at Flint's house, his elder sister and mum are on the veranda as they enjoy the cool breeze. They sit on chairs with a table before them as they eat snacks. "Mum, I've been wondering…." Aku ponders if she should spill her thoughts.
"What is it dear?" Patricia leans closer with a worrying look at her daughter. Aku shares her dream, "Mum…I…I want… to become…. A knight." Patricia is taken aback. "A knight huh." Patricia ponders.
"Is it wrong?" Aku's heart pounds.
Patricia waves her hand, "Actually no." Aku is surprised, "Huh?" her mother continues, "You can become a knight but we are in a village and this kingdom is actually small. There are few knights, about a handful actually."
"Why is that? I thought Zolkia had a lot of knights?" Aku's surprised by this. Patricia sighs, "Well, we had but they took part in a large-scale subjugation 5 years ago with other nations to stop the monster outbreak. Most of them were lost leaving Zolkia with such few numbers. The knights available are rookies from 5 years ago who survived so even if you joined, I doubt you will get proper training."
"Ohh" Aku is let down by that. Patricia ponders for a while before speaking, "You should ask the new girl, Twenny. She might know countries that might have proper knights to train you. If not, you could learn a thing or two from her, a runaway noble like her should have some knowledge on knights."
Aku brightens up, "Okay, I'll ask Flint to introduce me to her. He seems to get along with her." Aku seems happy though her expectations weren't met.
Patricia looks at Aku with worry, "Yes…. Listen, I know you want to be a knight but please be careful, okay?" She knows that such a job brings one closer to death every time.
"I'll be careful mum." Aku assures her mother as they continue to snack.
Back on the plains, Twenny is lying on the bed of flowers, "Who're you calling runaway noble?" Flint is busy practicing so he didn't hear her. It's strange considering the place Twenny slept is the only place with flowers on the whole plains but Flint assumes it to be magic.
"I guess I can teach her basic martial arts," She stares into the clouds, "They know me as a mage so I'll just tell it to her and not demonstrate." A screen appears before Twenny as she watches videos about martial arts and crafting. "Maybe Flint will want to learn."
Flint practices with his eyes closed but still unable to keep track of the EP before his skill activates but he noticed that the skill activated slower than previous tries. His thoughts, "I'll give it my all, if I can become strong then I can protect everyone." He practices till night fall.
Twenny taps him, "Let's go home." They leave the plains and return home. Aku is also making plans for tomorrow.
