Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Tons of levels!

With a multitude of deep breaths, Sapphire groaned as notification flooded her vision.

She struggled to stand when Nera came from the side clapping.

"You did it, Sapphi! See, I told you you could do it!"

Sapphire looked at Nera with a pained expression.

"Because… you helped me." She turned away.

"Yeah? And? You helped Mother Goddess defeat the Assassin Eagle, didn't you?"

"How did you know that?"

Nera rushed to catch up and walk beside Sapphire, tapping her head with her finger.

"I'm a Verminae, remember? Any knowledge or memories my sisters and brothers have is shared with me." She paused, noticing Sapphire's wound.

"Ah! You're bleeding! You have MP from leveling up, right? Use your crystal to dress the wound."

Nera tried to look around for a plant that could be used as a tonic, but alas, even with her [Analysis] stat, she couldn't tell what any of these plants did. Every single one was different from what the Verminae knew.

"Dress the wound? What do you mean?" Sapphire asked, nearly tripping over herself from the pain.

"Just do it! Even if I explain it, leaving an open wound like that is dangerous! Just cover it up until we can get Mother Goddess to heal you!"

Sapphire was confused by Nera, as per usual. The wound was bad; the pain she was in was a clear indicator, but the wound was far too deep for the bleeding to be stopped so simply.

Whatever the case was, Sapphire listened to Nera, seeing how pushy she was.

Nera was surprised that the effects of the debuff were lessened, but what a welcomed surprise it was.

"How long will your MP hold?"

||

||

"3 minutes? Maybe four since it's such a small amount of crystal." Sapphire responded, taking a peak at her vital stats.

'I'm too far away to make a telepathic link.' Nera sighed, trying and failing to contact the colony.

There were some Thornskirmishers near them, but they weren't of any help. Nera was faster than them, even in her minimalist form

"We won't make it, even if you run full speed. I need you to lean against me tightly, okay?"

Transforming into her [Gigant Form] before Sapphire could say anything, Nera picked up the deer like a princess and darted through the skies like a rocket.

She lowered the gravity around Sapphire so she was lighter, but once again, the drain on her Mana was terrible.

She didn't have much time before her SP reserves were depleted. It's probably a little less time than what Sapphire had. Not that it mattered. The D.O.T. She was suffering would take her long before their stamina reserves depleted.

Due to Nera's flight speed surpassing 55 kilometers per hour, it was a matter if Alchemy could heal her in time.

"N…Nera… How many levels… Did you gain from this?" Sapphire asked, struggling to talk through the strong winds while trying to think of anything but the timer her life was on right now.

Thinking about the question, Nera looked at the system notifications she pushed to the side. It is not like anything flying in the sky would dream of trying to get near Nera in this state, so she didn't need to pay too much attention.

"11. Three of my stats even surpassed 100!" She answered with a fake smile.

Even for her, giving a genuine smile in this situation was a tad bit difficult.

"Look! There's the base!" Nera pointed out, changing the topic.

{Mother Goddess! Come out here quick! Sapphi is injured!}

Hearing the frantic voice of her Hero, Alchemy stopped everything she was doing and dashed out of her hut, catching the site of Nera and Sapphire landing down like a missile, destroying the ground below them.

"Get her to the river!" Alchemy ordered without even assessing the damage, dashing in that direction ahead of them.

A part of her half expected them to get injured; that was the reason she sent them out together, but what Alchemy didn't expect was for Nera to come crashing down like a comet.

Whatever the case was, she had turned a section of the river into a bath of [holy water] in preparation for this.

Or rather, whenever her land expanded a part of the river was caught inside the boundary, automatically turning it into [Holy Water], but the specifics weren't important.

Ordering Nera to toss Sapphire into the river; only then could she let out a sigh of relief.

The wound, which Sapphire had revealed, was being healed, albeit slowly, and was followed by a couple of optimistic notifications.

"Nera, you too. And tell me what happened, did you run into another of those "[100 Deaths]" or whatever?" Alchemy gave her two heroes a look of confusion.
