Chapter 1 - Blog Day 1

Hey there, friends!

Well, it's official—I'm almost done with high school. I can hardly believe it. It feels like just yesterday I was trying to figure out how to not get caught using my wings to sneak snacks from the cafeteria (oops). Now, here I am, just a few weeks away from graduation, and let me tell you—it's a mix of excitement and a lot of nerves. So, I thought I'd share some of the thoughts (and a few random ramblings) I've been having as I get ready to take the next step in life.

First of all, I can't help but feel proud. High school for me wasn't all sunshine and rainbows—trust me, I've had my fair share of embarrassing moments (the time I accidentally turned my entire class into bumblebees, yeah, let's not talk about that). But through it all, I've made some great memories and even better friends. I'm especially grateful for the friends I've had by my side, like Flit (who managed to convince me that "detention" was actually a secret fairy club) and Pip (who, let's be honest, has probably snuck into more classrooms than any squirrel should).

Then there's my family. I'm pretty sure my mom is more nervous than I am—she's been planning this graduation dinner for weeks, and I'm starting to think she's going to invite the entire town. At least that means we're going to have the best food in the entire kingdom. My dad's been doing his usual thing—getting lost in his thoughts about his latest spell project and asking if I'm really sure I want to move on to bigger things. I think he's secretly hoping I'll stay in Twilight Hollow forever, but I've got big dreams (and maybe some plans to travel, you know, just a little).

But even with all the excitement, there's a tiny bit of sadness. Saying goodbye to high school means saying goodbye to a lot of the things I've come to love. Twilight Hollow's not exactly a bustling metropolis (we're more the quiet, magical village type), so graduating feels like leaving behind the comfort of everything familiar. I'm nervous about the changes, about figuring out what comes next. Will I still have time to meet up with Flit for our spontaneous moonlight picnics? Will I still be able to sneak into Pip's stash of acorn cookies (he's got a secret recipe, don't tell him I said that)?

One thing's for sure—I'm definitely not ready to stop being a fairy just yet. I mean, who could leave behind the sparkle and magic of all those late-night flying practices with my friends? And, let's be real, the snacks. I'll miss the snacks. But I'm excited for what comes after. I have a whole world of magic and adventures waiting for me, and I'm ready to take it all on.

So, here's to the next chapter! I'm hoping to document the whole graduation experience here—maybe even share a few behind-the-scenes moments. Who knows, maybe I'll get some interesting stories for the next post (I'm looking at you, Flit).

I'll leave you with this: no matter how nervous I get, I know I'll always have my wings to fall back on. Here's to flying forward into the future!

Until next time,

Dawn 🌟
