Welcome to my little corner of the internet! If you're reading this, then you've stumbled upon the blog of a fairy who loves a good cup of flower tea, getting lost in the forest, and, of course, sharing her life with anyone who's curious enough to listen (or read, I suppose). I'm so happy you're here!
So, who am I, exactly? Well, I'm Dawn—yes, just Dawn, no "Princess" or "Lady" before it. I think titles are nice, but I'm all about keeping it casual, you know? I'm a fairy, born and raised in a cozy little town called Twilight Hollow. It's tucked between the enchanted Silverwood Forest and the sparkling Starlight Lake, so I guess you could say I live in the most magical of spots. But don't let that fool you—life here is far from perfect, and I'm totally okay with that. Perfection is overrated anyway.
I've got a small but mighty family. My mom is the sweetest and the most patient person you'll ever meet. She's a healer, so she's constantly brewing potions and mixing up magical remedies. Honestly, I think she'd make a great spa owner if she ever decided to hang up her healing wings. My dad's a bit of a daydreamer, always writing down his ideas for new spells or tinkering with his collection of enchanted trinkets. He's always got something in the works, but good luck figuring out what it is. I've got an older sister, Luna, who is the opposite of me in almost every way. She's all about structure, organization, and... well, being perfect. Not sure where I fit in with that, but I try to keep things interesting, right?
Now, let's talk about my friends. Flit, my pixie bestie, is the one who keeps things interesting. She's tiny (even by fairy standards), and her wings shimmer like the stars. She's a little too fond of pranking—like the time she replaced all my flower petals with dandelions so I'd sneeze all day. (Not funny, Flit.) But I can't stay mad at her for long; she's got that mischievous charm, you know? Pip, the talking squirrel, is another one of my close friends. He's all over the place, but he's got a heart of gold and a knack for finding lost things—mostly my socks, which is a whole other story.
As for my town, Twilight Hollow has a charm that's hard to explain. Imagine a place where everyone knows everyone (and everyone's business). We're small but tight-knit, and no matter how strange things get, you can count on someone to help out. Our town square is where the real magic happens. We've got a market that sells everything from enchanted candles to handwoven dreamcatchers, and every year, we celebrate the Festival of Fireflies—the sky is lit up with thousands of tiny glowing lights. It's magical—I'll post about that closer to the season!
You'll learn more about all of us as time goes on, but I wanted to start by saying thank you for joining me. I'll be sharing a lot of my everyday life here: my love for nature, the joys of being a fairy, and maybe even some of my not-so-glamorous moments (because let's be honest, not every day is a fairy tale). If you like fairy stories, a dash of magic, and a whole lot of fun, I think we're going to get along just fine.
Until next time,
Dawn 🌸
