Chapter 3 - Blog DAY 3 pt1

Hi, friends!

It's finally here—graduation day! I woke up this morning with that strange mix of excitement and nerves that feels a bit like drinking too much glitterberry juice (don't ask). Today is the day I officially leave behind my high school years and step into something completely new. But before the ceremony starts, I wanted to share a little peek into my morning. Spoiler alert: it's already been full of magic and mild chaos.

First things first—breakfast. My mom went all out and made my favorite: starfruit pancakes with a drizzle of honey and just a sprinkle of edible sparkles (because what's a celebration without sparkles?). My dad, true to form, was so busy tinkering with his latest potion that he nearly spilled blueberry essence into the syrup. It's never boring around here, I'll tell you that much.

After breakfast, it was time to get myself ready. Picking out an outfit for today felt like a bigger decision than it probably was, but hey, you only graduate once, right? I ended up choosing a soft lilac dress that flows perfectly when I fly. I added some delicate wing cuffs made of silver filigree (a graduation gift from my parents), and a flower crown made by my little sister, Rosebud. She insists that it has "good luck petals," so I'm keeping it on all day.

Getting my wings polished was next on the list. Mom says it's a tradition for fairies to have their wings looking their best for big milestones, and I have to admit, they're extra shimmery today. It's like they know how important this day is.

While I was getting ready, Flit showed up at my window with a bag of snacks and a million last-minute questions. ("Do you think Professor Willowbranch will cry? Are we really adults now? Did you hear about Pip's prank for the ceremony?!") She's been buzzing with excitement all week, and honestly, it's contagious. We both might be a little nervous about what's next, but having her by my side makes it feel less scary.

I also took a few minutes to just breathe and think about what this day means. Graduation isn't just about wearing a fancy dress and walking across a stage—it's about celebrating everything we've learned, every mistake we've made, and every moment that's brought us to this point. It's about looking forward to all the adventures waiting for us and knowing that even though things will change, the people who matter most will always be with us.

Now, I'm off to join the rest of my classmates. There's a pre-ceremony gathering at the Moonlit Garden, and I've heard whispers about a surprise from the underclassmen. (If it involves glitter, I'm all in.)

Next time you hear from me, I'll officially be a graduate! Wish me luck, and I'll see you on the other side of this incredible day.

With wings polished and heart full,

Dawn 💫
