The Wellington Mansion - Grand Hall

"Aiden, you are hiding something from me, aren't you?" Marina's voice broke through the silence in the grand hall. Aiden had often times come here to relax. He stood by the marble fireplace, his back thrown against her, the dancing flames reflected across his broad shoulders. He sipped his glass of whiskey before turning around. 

"I am not hiding anything, Mari" he replied, his masculine voice was calm as usual. "But you seem eager to assume the worst."

Marina crossed her arms, trying to have a good look at him. "Don't you dare play games with me, Aiden. Something is happening in this house, and I need to know what it is."

He placed the glass on the table that was closest to them, walked toward her with careful steps. "Marina, I know you have been through enough already. Let me handle it."
