Eleanor clutched tightly at Prince Adrian's arm, her fingers digging into his sleeve as her silent sobs wracked her body. The fog was relentless, thickening with every step they took. Sir Cedric had vanished, and the oppressive mist made it impossible to see more than a few feet ahead.
"Stay focused, Eleanor," Adrian said, his voice firm but laced with worry. "I know this is terrifying, but you must stay strong. We'll make it out of here together."
She nodded shakily, but the fear gnawing at her wouldn't let go. Her breaths came quicker, the air around them feeling heavier with every inhale. She tugged at Adrian's sleeve, gasping.
"I... I can't breathe," she managed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Adrian immediately turned to her, his expression shifting to concern. "Eleanor, stay with me," he said, his hands gently gripping her shoulders. "Slow down. Breathe through your nose. Look at me."
