I went to various government agencies that handle personal documents required for Kitsune to enter school. Things like her birth certificate, proof of residency, and many more. I used the manifestation I brought, which allows the user to control the mind and body of a target.
I also went to the nearest elementary and middle schools in Yokohama to acquire report cards and diplomas, which might be required for her student application. Once I had everything, I returned to Kitsune. To be honest, I was kind of worried about her.
As I entered my shop, I saw three boys talking to Kitsune. She was probably being picked up by them. I decided to hide and eavesdrop to confirm my guess.
"Hey, miss, what do you sell here?"
"Do you include yourself in what you're selling?"
One of the boys approached her and touched her waist. I saw Kitsune's uncomfortable and probably pissed-off look, so I immediately decided to rescue her.
"Hey, big bros! This woman here is my girlfriend... Please leave her alone."
"Huh?? If you don't want to get hurt, leave and let us have our fun with your girlfriend, kid."
"Right! You're just smooching some money off her."
They pulled something out from their backs... a knife. I think they're planning to kill me, but they're humans... I can't kill them.
It seems I've encountered a group of ruffians. I rarely encounter people like them, but they really get on my nerves.
"Shape-shift: Katana."
"See this, big bros?? Want my katana to touch your throats?"
They charged at me. I thought they'd run after seeing my katana, but before they reached me, Kitsune intercepted them in an attempt to punch their faces. I quickly pushed her to redirect the attack, knowing that her punch would probably kill these ruffians. Her fist hit the wall next to my shop, leaving a hole with several cracks.
"Mo...monster!!"
They ran as soon as they saw the hole from Kitsune's punch. Good thing I pushed her, or she would've literally broken their brains.
"Oi… Are you seriously going to kill them??"
"But you showed your katana, so I thought it was okay to kill them."
"Huh? Of course, I won't! Did you already forget that killing humans would make us demons??"
"Who said that crap to you?"
"It's written in the 3 ancient rules by our queen."
"Oh, that? Well, I didn't read that... But I've killed several humans before. Why didn't I turn into a demon?"
"Just don't kill any more...!"
"Anyways, it's for you... Come with me to school tomorrow. Give this to the person called 'the principal,' and hand it over to him."
I handed her the documents I'd gathered, as well as the uniform for our school that she would use. Morning came, and together we went to school. Before entering my classroom, I accompanied her to the principal's office.
"Here, Kitsune. Take this."
"What's that?"
"Stick it to your dress."
Apparently, I gave her a mini microphone attached to the headphones I wear. This should help me hear the principal's questions about her.
"Listen, Kitsune, link our minds with your telepathy. Through this device, I can hear the voice of the principal. He will ask you several questions, and I'll teach you the answers using telepathy."
"Oi, Misaki... I don't need your assistance here. I'm not stupid."
She removed the device from her dress and entered the office. She looked so pissed. I'm starting to worry, not about her, but for the safety of the principal.
Lunch period came, and I still hadn't seen her. While I was fixing my desk, Himeko came up to me, looking like she wanted to say something.
"Uhm, Misaki… do you want to have lunch on the rooftop?"
Of course, I agreed. There's no way I could reject her puppy-like eyes staring at me. After we ate, I informed Himeko that I wanted to introduce someone to her later.
"Later, after lunch, I'll introduce you to my shop assistant."
"Oh, so you have an assistant?"
I nodded and smiled at her. We went back to our room after talking and sat down at our seats.
I played some games on my phone while waiting for the lunch period to end. Then I suddenly remembered I should ask Himeko for her contact details.
I approached her and asked...
"Uhm, Himeko, can I get your contact info?"
"What! Uh... uhmm, wait... okay."
She looked embarrassed and surprised. Her face turned red, and her fists clenched while her body twitched. The whole class was looking at us, and I could feel the boys' sinister auras, sending chills down my spine.
Oh crap, I forgot... Asking a woman for her contact info means you have a prior motive. I messed up.
"Uh... no, it's okay if you don't want to," I immediately said to alleviate the misunderstanding.
"No, no, it's okay... really."
But before we could continue, the class noise suddenly quieted as the school's principal entered the classroom.
"Okay, everyone, lunch period is over... please go back to your seats."
We returned to our seats. I overheard some students near me talking.
"Why is the principal here? Did someone in our class get involved in some kind of offense?"
Oh no... it's probably about Kitsune... what the hell did she do? And she dragged me into her mess! But wait, I noticed that the principal looked somewhat happy, or... something.
"Quite please... Starting now, you'll have your new homeroom teacher," the principal said.
"What about Ms. Kyoko?" one student asked.
"I've assigned her as your PE teacher."
"For now, please meet your new teacher."
I kind of knew where this was going...
The principal opened the door, and from there, Kitsune appeared.
"From now on, Ms. Ishi Kitsune will handle this class. Please be good to her."
