All traces of the headache I felt is gone when I wake up, with only a light throbbing nagging at my temples.
I yawn and flank down the blaring table clock, muting the loud ringing of the alarm. The room is dimly lit with the soft glow of a flaming candle in the far corner.
I peer into the clock, looking at the time. It's well past 7am and if I wasn't locked inside this god damned room, I would be on my way to work.
My gaze settles on the phone scattered on the floor across the room and Serene's worried face appears in my head, eliciting a sad smile from me knowing she must have tried to reach out all to no avail.
Rubbing my palm down my face, I raise myself up and fall back into the bed instantly, searing pain prickling my entire body at the sudden movement.
