I train my eyes on him, my glare growing hotter as the guards unlock my shackles and bundle the chain in his hands. Bruises and blisters decorate my pale skin, turning it purple with pain.
I twist my wrists, extend my hands out and close my eyes, basking in the freedom I'd just been given after two long days. I lift myself off the bed with the help of my knees and trudge to the bathroom to wash myself.
