Orochimaru's lair, dark and steeped in an oppressive atmosphere, echoed with the dull sounds of an intense battle. At the center of the vast training hall, Sasuke and Jūgo clashed relentlessly. Sasuke, shirtless, with sweat glistening on his pale skin, stood in a flawless combat stance. Facing him, Jūgo, under the influence of his transformation, had black veins snaking across his body, his gaze filled with uncontrollable rage.
"Use all your strength, Jūgo," ordered Sasuke, his voice calm yet commanding. "Hold nothing back."
"You sure? You might not hold up," Jūgo replied, a hint of hesitation in his tone.
"I told you not to go easy on me," Sasuke insisted, his raptor-like gaze burning with determination.
With a leap, Jūgo lunged forward, his massive frame augmented by natural energy. His enormous fist tore through the air, aiming directly at Sasuke's face. The latter narrowly dodged, his feet sliding across the rough ground, before retaliating with a spinning kick that struck Jūgo's shoulder.
Jūgo didn't relent. He followed up with a knee strike that hit the space where Sasuke had been a second earlier, then swung a right hook, which Sasuke blocked with his forearm. The force of the blow pushed Sasuke back a few steps, but he quickly regained his stance.
"Not bad," Sasuke muttered, breathing heavily.
Sasuke darted toward Jūgo, aiming precise punches at his torso. Despite his size and strength, Jūgo managed to block some of the strikes, but Sasuke's relentless assault began to overwhelm him. A right hook from Sasuke connected with Jūgo's jaw, but Jūgo countered with a powerful strike to Sasuke's chest, slamming him into a wall.
Sasuke stood back up, wiping a drop of blood from the corner of his mouth, his gaze even more resolute. "Not bad," he murmured before charging back in.
Sitting nearby, Suigetsu let out a chuckle. "Looks like Sasuke isn't invincible after all."
Karin, watching intently, snapped, "Shut up and watch."
Sasuke's eyes burned with icy determination. Ignoring the pain, he threw himself into the fight once more. This time, his taijutsu was even sharper. He blocked an attack with his forearm, slipped under another, and landed a sharp blow to Jūgo's abdomen, knocking the wind out of him. Finally, Sasuke executed a swift leg sweep, toppling his opponent and pinning him to the ground.
Jūgo quickly got back up and tried a side attack, but Sasuke pivoted, dodged, and delivered a well-placed kick to Jūgo's ribs. Seizing the opening, he followed up with an uppercut that staggered Jūgo. Before his opponent could recover, Sasuke leaped and delivered a heel strike to Jūgo's chest, sending him crashing to the ground.
Out of breath, Jūgo raised a hand in surrender. "Alright, I give up. You're too fast for me."
Sasuke, ever stoic, extended a hand to help Jūgo up. "You're good. But you need to learn to channel your power with more precision."
They decided to take a break. Sasuke sat on a bench by the wall, his breathing labored.
"He's incredible," Karin murmured, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Suigetsu, lounging lazily against a wall, snickered. "Still drooling over him? Pathetic."
Karin ignored him and eagerly stood up, running over to Sasuke. "Sasuke-kun, want to recover faster? You can bite me if you want," she offered, tugging slightly at her blouse to expose her shoulder.
Sasuke, out of breath, stared at her for a moment before stepping forward without a word. He placed his hands on her shoulders and, without hesitation, bit into the exposed skin. Karin felt a sharp pain, followed by a wave of warmth coursing through her. Her cheeks turned crimson as she watched Sasuke closely, captivated by his intense expression.
As he finished drawing energy, she timidly placed a hand on his sweaty chest, gently brushing his skin. "S-Sasuke-kun," she murmured.
With a brusque motion, Sasuke pushed her hand away. "Stop it," he said coldly, turning to head toward the washroom.
Karin stood frozen for a moment, still flushed.
Suigetsu, who hadn't missed a thing, burst out laughing. "Karin, seriously, give it up. Sasuke's not the kind to fall for anyone, let alone you."
"Shut up, Suigetsu," she snapped, her eyes flashing. She turned and stormed out of the room, leaving Suigetsu laughing.
"If you say so," Suigetsu shrugged, a mocking grin on his face.
Karin stormed into her laboratory, seething with frustration. "He'll see. Sasuke-kun will notice me eventually," she muttered, handling various vials and tools. After several minutes of work, she produced a white powder and mixed it into a cup of water.
"If Sasuke won't see my feelings… I'll just have to make him understand."
A strange smile crept across her face. "Let's see if you can resist this, Sasuke-kun," she murmured, leaving the lab with the cup.
She found Sasuke leaning against a wall near the training hall, his gaze lost in the distance. Approaching him, she wore an expression of regret.
"Sasuke-kun… I'm sorry about earlier. It was inappropriate of me," she said softly, extending the cup. "I just… wanted to help you recover."
Sasuke stared at her for a moment before taking the cup. "It's nothing," he replied coldly, downing the water in one gulp.
Karin watched his every move, her eyes gleaming with barely concealed excitement. As he set the empty cup aside, she quickly looked away, hiding the devious smile that crept onto her face.
She whispered to herself as she returned to her lab, "We'll see about that."
Her silhouette disappeared into the shadows, but her sinister inner laughter echoed in her mind.

Jiraiya strolled leisurely through the corridors of the Hokage's tower. This wasn't an official visit, but he had important information to share with Tsunade regarding their ongoing investigation. Of course, he also planned to tease her a little—after all, it had become a habit between them.
Reaching the office, he opened the door without knocking, a wide grin already on his face.
"Tsunade! The most brilliant person in this village has come to enlighten you with his wisdom—and, incidentally, his legendary charm."
But to his surprise, the office was empty, except for Shizune, who was bent over a pile of files, sorting them methodically.
"Well, Shizune-chan, this isn't exactly the face I was hoping to see, but I won't complain," Jiraiya said with a playful smile.
Shizune looked up, a little startled, but quickly tried to compose herself. "Jiraiya-sama, are you looking for Tsunade-sama? She's not here at the moment; she went to check some documents at the training grounds."
"What a disappointment. But at the same time, destiny has gifted me a moment with the beautiful and competent Shizune-chan. What more could I ask for?" he replied, leaning casually against the wall.
Shizune averted her gaze, a faint blush tinting her cheeks. "Jiraiya-sama, if you came with important information, I can pass it on to Tsunade-sama."
"Important, yes… but you know, nothing is more important than complimenting a kunoichi as talented as you. Honestly, Shizune, you should smile more often; it would brighten up the entire office."
She shook her head, a mix of embarrassment and amusement, while gathering some files. "Jiraiya-sama, if that's all, I suggest you go see Tsunade-sama directly. You know where she is."
Jiraiya laughed, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, I'll go. But promise me you'll smile at least once before I leave—that's my only real mission today."
Despite herself, Shizune allowed a small, shy smile to cross her lips. Jiraiya nodded in satisfaction before turning on his heel and leaving the room, his laughter echoing down the corridors. Shizune watched him go, sighing softly while suppressing an amused smile.
