He also now understood that if he wanted to upgrade bronze body sutra past level - 5, he would have to either get the next volume or upgrade with upgrade points.
The older monks would always say that bronze muscles, iron bones and golden heart makes the monk a living buddha. Tian now understood the meaning of the saying as bronze body sutra was for muscle refining, iron body sutra was for bones refining and golden body sutra was for organ refining.
He noticed that his qi had holy attribute, there were two words -healing and cleansing -written besides the attribute tag. This was clearly mentioned in the scroll as the sole purpose of the technique was to heal people and destroy plague. Tian was amazed to find out that his qi had such magical properties.
But this also meant that besides infusing qi in his body to attack the opponent, he wouldn't be able to utilize the qi in any of the flashy attacks. His qi attacks would end up healing the enemy anyway.
Tian looked at Chen as he smiled " Senior brother, I did it. I am a cultivator now "
Chen nodded, smiled, and went back to sleep. "Congratulations but we have to wake up early tomorrow, so make sure you get enough sleep. "Chen said as Tian nodded and he continued looking through the system as Chen went back to sleep. Next he opened the achievement tab.

Tian smiled as his total upgrade points reached a staggering 11 points. He knew that upgrade points were valuable after he gathered only four points after two months of practicing the bronze body sutra.
He was excited to choose the upgrades to buy right away but first he checked out the next achievement.

Tian could feel that the qi in his dantian was undergoing some changes, the green smoke like qi slowly changed to bright yellow. There was a noticeable improvement in terms of density and raw power that the qi contained as tian could feel the qi nourishing his body at the moment.
The properties also changed as the new word - Disintegration - was added. Although he wanted to find out what this meant, he didn't have enough QI for such experiment.
So although excited, he shifted his attention to the upgrade points.
Tian then decided to look at the available upgrades from the shop. his hands were itching to spend those 10 upgrade points that he got for the reward against his "Path to immortality" achievement.
There were so many upgrades that he could buy from the upgrade points at the moment. the general options were to upgrade cultivation techniques. there were upgrades for the purification sutra, upgrades for bronze body sutra and there were even upgrades for other minor things like enhancing grip strength, stamina, Recovery, spiritual power absorption, Qi recovery. the whole list was endless as the system had a search bar for available upgrades. this was a true system that aimed to push the user to the peak.
Tian looked through the available upgrades. all the options provided looked tempting but that was it. system provided wide range of choice but none of the upgrade were unreasonably overpowered. Tian tried to find the upgrades that would benefit him the most in current situation.
Tian knew from his novel reading experience that most of the time, some of the protagonists of such novels would plan for long term and grow strong at the end of the novels. unfortunately for tian, he wasn't the protagonist of this world. he wouldn't have plot armors like the those heroes in the novels nor he would get lucky encounters. he could barely get a fake cultivation technique and that was only in return for helping the plague victims.
he finally decided on the upgrade that he wanted. the most beneficial one to him right now would be to speed up his cultivation to get stronger. He clicked on the option for auto cultivation.
he wasn't a native and didn't have experience with cultivation, instead of fumbling around, trying to find out the best way to cultivate and meditating half the time, he bought this upgrade. Although he would be able to cultivate with auto clicker, he would still be required to sit in a lotus position when cultivating, the system would force his body to do so as it did with body strengthening.
the upgrade allowed him to cultivate anytime and all the time. the description clearly stated the properties of the upgrade. With this upgrade, his cultivation would never stop from this point on until he reaches the foundation building level.
Just like in those auto clicking games, first few times you would be required to click manually and then there will be upgrade that would automate the clicking for you. You would then just have to focus buying various upgrade and wouldn't need to click manually. this upgrade was the same as it allowed his body to be in continues state of cultivation.
there was also auto cultivator upgrade for Foundation building realm and there were such upgrades available for Muscle refining and subsequent level of body refining cultivation techniques. the further upgrades for both qi refining and body refining were grayed out.
Tian chose the auto cultivation upgrade as he felt a subtle shift in his dantian. the Qi outside his body was slowly attracted towards his body as a new small wisp of yellow qi was forming little by little.
Tian then decided to go to sleep as he no longer have to worry about continuing the cultivation manually. His body would automatically absorb spiritual energy and increase his experience in purification sutra. As he lay down and check if the auto cultivation keeps going as he laid down, the female general who was aware of everything that was happening in the tent smiled as she looked at the tent. "Already tired after one cycle, although the young monk has talent, he lacks resolve".
She stood up and walked away towards the outer perimeter for the patrol. she was a qi gathering cultivator and after attaining high enough level in qi gathering, there was no need for sleep for a few days for someone like her.
The soldiers took rotating shifts to protect everyone. Tian soon feel asleep after looking at his increasing experience with the Purification Sutra. He would hear loud roars once in a while as Chen would assured him that there were no beasts in the Forrest that could harm the soldiers of the second prince. The beasts mostly in muscle refining level were easy to handle for the soldiers in organ refining level.
Next day early morning, the whole caravan woke up as they got ready to continue, soldiers buried the burnt wood while the monks cleaned the surrounding area. Tian woke up early, feeling refreshed as he also prepared to continue his journey with the caravan.
Tian was surprised to find that his experience with Qi gathering in Purification sutra had progressed to 94. In his dantian, there was a ball of smoke like Qi slowly rotating and gathering. By his calculation, Tian realized that he would take at most five more days to get at Qi gathering Level 1.

"Brat, You wont be talking like that when you reach the capital. Fighting the plague isn't as simple as you think" a crisp female voice cut in between the conversation as the female general dragged her horse near the duo.
"Although your Qi is effective against the plague, there is a high mortality rate even after repelling the plague from the bodies of the mortals , there are also times when some of the cultivator monks of Nirvana temple have gone insane after helping the common people and watching their suffering"
