Freya's POV
Tension was in the air in the clearing. With a sense of urgency, each wolf packed supplies, sharpened weapons, and prepared for what could be their final stand. I couldn't show them how scared I was, even though my heart felt like a stone in my chest.
"Are you certain of this?" Finnick came up to me and inquired in a quiet voice. There was worry in his emerald eyes. "Freya, you don't have to do this by yourself."
I forced myself to remain composed as I gazed at him. If not, then who will? Unless we stop him first, Kade won't stop.
He clenched his jaw. Together, we will stop him. Simply walking into his trap and hoping for the best is not an option.
"It's not about hope," I stated, sounding more determined than I was. "It's about taking the necessary action."
