Gerald's POV
I was so close to letting out extreme emotions, and that was something that wasn't supposed to exist in me. Leah was changing everything about me, but she didn't know it. I was supposed to be like a stone according to Sago's instructions, but things were slowly changing. I feared it would spoil the plans I had.
"What do you know about Amon that I don't know?" She asked with an exceptional focus on me.
"Nothing."
"Nothing? But you just said something, how come it's nothing?"
She couldn't have been satisfied with the way our conversation was starting to flow. She was making an effort to make things feel normal between us, but then, my tongue had slipped. I had said a line I wasn't supposed to say.
