"Bro, what's the situation?"
"Not good! My obnoxious cousin actually threatened me! He said if I expose his secrets, he'll tell the neighbor's Mihue about how I wet the bed when I was three!" Kotetsu Hagane gritted his teeth, cursing his cousin's wicked behavior.
How could their affairs involve Mihue from next door and ruin his radiant image? Truly despicable!
"I have a plan," Izumo Kamizuki said, pondering. "Take advantage of your youth and use playfulness as an excuse. Go to your cousin's house and mess up his room. Although you're the one creating the mess, if he doesn't clean it in time, it'll end up being his problem. After a few rounds of this, how can he dare act smug?"
Kotetsu's eyes lit up immediately and he exclaimed that with Izumo's advice, he'd be as invincible as the First Hokage was with Tobirama's support. If successful, he promised to treat Izumo to snacks.
When Mu Yue walked into the classroom, he overheard this pair of scheming "geniuses" plotting and couldn't help but smile.
"Class is starting!" Mu Yue announced as he stepped onto the podium and began teaching.
"Chakra is the foundation for performing ninjutsu. It is formed by combining physical energy and spiritual power."
The students listened attentively; after all, this was fundamental knowledge.
Mu Yue explained patiently, occasionally releasing chakra for the students to sense. To keep the class engaging, he interspersed the lesson with anecdotes and stories, adding humor to avoid monotony. He also asked questions to deepen their understanding.
The four lessons flew by quickly. Nearing the end of class, noticing Anko Mitarashi eagerly raising her hand with questions, Mu Yue decided to appraise her.
[Name: Anko Mitarashi]
[Potential: A]
Intrigued, Mu Yue decided to appraise the rest of the class as well.
[Name: Kotetsu Hagane]
[Potential: B-]
[Name: Izumo Kamizuki]
[Potential: B-]
To his surprise, excluding Shisui, only four students in the class had potential ratings of B or higher. Besides Anko and the duo of Kotetsu and Izumo, one other student—whom Mu Yue barely remembered—was rated B-. The rest were mostly C-level, with a few reaching C+ or dropping to C-, and even some at D.
In comparison, Shisui's talent was extraordinary, leaving the rest far behind.
Anko's potential also surprised Mu Yue. In the original story, Anko didn't achieve great strength, yet her potential was several grades higher than the "gatekeeper duo."
Still, Mu Yue wasn't planning to take Anko as a disciple. His disciple slots were limited to four, and with Shisui occupying one, only three remained.
Although young Anko was undeniably adorable, Mu Yue thought to himself, "I might be handsome, but does that mean Danzo would release me from Root? Obviously not."
[Class completed, evaluating performance...]
[Evaluation: A]
[Reward: Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu]
"This is a good jutsu, but it's not very useful to me right now," Mu Yue mused.
As Naruto's signature jutsu, the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu was undoubtedly practical—provided one had enough chakra. It could be used effectively in both combat and training.
Unfortunately, what Mu Yue currently lacked was chakra.
After lunch, Mu Yue returned to the teacher's lounge. Several teachers were busy brainstorming strategies to help Takeshi Iketani prepare for an upcoming matchmaking date.
A tall and thin male teacher advised, "Make sure to dress formally before meeting her. Don't let her think you're a slob."
"Takahito, don't underestimate me. I may not have dated before, but that's basic common sense!" Takeshi responded confidently.
"I think the most important thing is to avoid bragging during the conversation," Aya Ueda interjected, shaking her head as if she could already foresee the disastrous outcome.
"Just wait and see, Aya!" Takeshi retorted, offended by her doubt.
"Alright, I'll be watching," Aya replied nonchalantly. Then, noticing Mu Yue had entered the room, she shifted her attention.
"Mr. Hanyu, you're amazing! I walked by your class earlier and felt such a positive atmosphere. I can't believe it's your first time teaching!" Aya praised.
Mu Yue humbly replied, "It's nothing; it's thanks to all of your advice and the students being cooperative."
Although she knew he was being modest, Aya appreciated the compliment and smiled, offering Mu Yue some of her snacks.
Witnessing this, Takeshi felt a pang of jealousy. Despite being coworkers with Aya for two years, he rarely received her snacks.
After chatting with everyone, Mu Yue picked up a brush and ink he had prepared and began practicing calligraphy—a rare habit he had developed during a university course in his past life.
With the short lunch break, there wasn't enough time to train, so he used it for calligraphy instead.
As the next class approached, Mu Yue packed up and headed to the classroom.
Ding, ding, ding!
The bell rang just as Mu Yue entered Class 4-2.
"Wait, isn't today supposed to be Mr. Iketani's Konoha history lesson?" a student asked, confused by Mu Yue's presence.
"Mr. Iketani had something urgent come up. I'll be teaching this afternoon," Mu Yue explained from the podium.
No sooner had he spoken than a hurried figure dashed into the classroom.
"Sorry, Teacher! I ran into an old lady on the way and stopped to help, so I'm late!" Obito Uchiha apologized, panting with his hands on his knees.
"Take your seat and pay attention," Mu Yue replied.
Scanning the class, he decided to appraise all the students.
[Name: Rin Nohara]
[Chakra: 300]
[Potential: A-]
[Name: Might Guy]
[Chakra: 600]
[Potential: S]
[Assessment: Suitable for Taijutsu training. Recommended for apprenticeship.]
[Name: Obito Uchiha]
[Chakra: 650]
[Potential: S]
[Assessment: Possesses Six Paths bloodline and spatial abilities. Recommended for apprenticeship.]
Class 4-2 was similar to Class 1-1. Besides these three standout students, only Tetsuka Uchiha had an A-grade potential. The rest were mostly C or D.
After assessing their talents, Mu Yue checked the syllabus and began his lesson.
Accustomed to teachers who simply read from the textbook, the students were pleasantly surprised by Mu Yue's engaging approach.
Obito even blurted out, "Teacher Mu Yue, you're amazing! You're way better than the other teachers. If you keep teaching us, I'm sure I'll pass!"
"I'll be sure to let Mr. Iketani know, along with the fact that you were late," Mu Yue replied with a grin.
Obito's face fell, and he quickly begged for mercy. Iketani was their homeroom teacher, and Obito dreaded his wrath.
Obito's antics added a cheerful atmosphere to the class.
During the break, Mu Yue used sensory jutsu to confirm no one was eavesdropping before calling Might Guy and Obito outside.
