Watching Mu Yue's swift and flawless whirlwind kick, Might Guy's eyes lit up instantly, feeling as though he had discovered a dream technique that perfectly fulfilled all his fantasies about taijutsu. It was simple, fast, powerful, and extremely cool.
"I like it! Please make sure to teach me this!" Might Guy said with great enthusiasm, expressing his satisfaction with the Leaf Hurricane.
"I'm glad you like it." Mu Yue nodded with a smile.
Guy's reaction was what Mu Yue had expected. After all, this taijutsu would eventually be developed by Might Guy himself into an entire series, including various techniques like the Great Whirlwind and the Just Whirlwind. If he didn't like it, that would be strange.
With Mu Yue's promise, both Obito and Might Guy were thrilled. Even the dreaded test papers they usually found irritating now seemed much more tolerable.
"Watch me go all out! This time, I'll get at least four right!" Obito said excitedly, rolling up his sleeves as though preparing for battle.
"I'll definitely get at least three right, or else I'll run 500 laps around Konoha tonight!" Might Guy, determined to master his dream technique, imposed a strict self-discipline on himself.
However, the sudden burst of enthusiasm was short-lived. After answering a few questions, Obito realized something. If he were pushed to the limit, maybe he could release a bigger fireball or throw five shuriken in a row and hit the target, but when it came to test questions, there was nothing he could do under pressure.
He rested his head on his hands, playing with his pen in various ways, increasingly frustrated. He couldn't even tolerate the rustling of the green leaves outside, feeling as though they were mocking his inability to answer the questions.
Obito couldn't help but glance over at Might Guy.
Although they had been classmates for more than three years and shared a friend in Kakashi, they had never really hung out together. Their relationship was somewhat distant. They weren't strangers, but they couldn't exactly be called friends. They were more like acquaintances, friends of friends, who just happened to be in the same class.
Obito's first impression of Guy was that he was the class dunce.
Although Obito himself was often called the "dunce" due to his struggles in theory, he felt that he only had some weaknesses in certain areas. His ninjutsu and shuriken techniques were good, but his theory work was terrible. The rest of the Uchiha clan was simply too brilliant, excelling in every subject, which made Obito feel like the only imperfect Uchiha.
Might Guy, on the other hand, wasn't just bad at theory—his ninjutsu and most of his subjects were also at the bottom. He was the "official" class dunce.
But now, Might Guy had demonstrated even greater patience than Obito. Despite struggling and being visibly frustrated, Guy still tackled the problems with determination.
Obito remembered an incident when Guy had been mocked and had made a bold statement:
"I believe that if I keep going like this, I'll become the strongest taijutsu user!"
At the time, Obito hadn't taken it seriously. He didn't think Guy could ever become the so-called "strongest taijutsu user." But now, his opinion had started to shift. Whether Guy would become the strongest was uncertain, but he was certainly working harder than those who had mocked him.
"Maybe becoming friends with him wouldn't be such a bad idea," Obito mumbled. That way, they could team up against Kakashi, whom they both disliked.
Watching Might Guy continue to focus on the test, Obito also started to write with renewed effort, struggling to solve the problems.
Mu Yue watched them both, a thoughtful look on his face. He hadn't expected these two to have such a good influence on each other. The normally impatient Obito had actually calmed down and was now quietly working on the test.
Mu Yue thought to himself that this might be a good method to stimulate Obito's training in the future.
Once they finished, Mu Yue helped them grade their papers.
Obito got three correct, while Might Guy got two.
"Sigh, still not four. I've done my best," Obito slumped over the desk, looking exhausted.
"Looks like I'll be running 500 laps around Konoha tonight," Might Guy added his own punishment to the workout plan.
Mu Yue smiled and comforted them, "You're only five questions away from passing. You've improved by one question in just one hour, so if you think about it that way, doesn't it feel much better?"
After hearing Mu Yue's words, both Obito and Might Guy thought about it and realized that, yes, passing was within reach, and their ninjutsu skills were also just around the corner.
With a smile, Mu Yue pulled out two new test papers.
Obito looked at the fresh test papers on the desk and then thought about how there were still three weekends before the test. He felt a wave of dread.
But he had no choice but to pick up his pen and continue. If he gave up now, all his previous efforts would be wasted.
Meanwhile, after restoring his chakra, Shisui was back to practicing Fire Style techniques, and fire dragons flew across the sky, drawing Obito's attention.
"Mu Yue-sensei, if we learn your jutsu, will we be considered your disciples like Shisui?" Obito suddenly asked.
"If you want to, then yes," Mu Yue replied vaguely.
"Hehe, since we'll be your disciples sooner or later, why not teach us now?" Obito said, his motives becoming clear.
Mu Yue gave him a suspicious look. Although he had set up this situation intentionally, Obito's approach felt too short-sighted.
Obito slapped his chest in assurance, "Mu Yue-sensei, I'm not trying to avoid studying. I just think we can do both at once."
Obito then nudged Might Guy, "Right, Guy?"
"I think Obito's right," Might Guy also chimed in. He was eager to learn the Leaf Hurricane technique and challenge Kakashi.
Mu Yue didn't immediately agree. Instead, he countered, "What if you don't pass?"
"If that happens, we'll do whatever you say, Mu Yue-sensei," Obito said confidently, sure of his success.
"I'll do the same," Might Guy nodded.
Mu Yue gave a troubled expression, as though he was still considering it.
"Mu Yue-sensei, just trust us. We'll study hard and won't let you down," Obito said, hoping to convince him.
"I promise too!" Might Guy added, raising his fist.
"Alright then," Mu Yue finally relented. "I believe you can do it. Once you finish this test paper, I'll teach you both the Great Fireball Technique and the Leaf Hurricane."
"That's awesome! I knew you were the best, Mu Yue-sensei. I won't let you down!" Obito exclaimed, thrilled.
He thought to himself, "Today's my lucky day. Not only did I improve my theory, but I also got an amazing teacher. I hit the jackpot!"
"Mu Yue-sensei, I'll work hard to master your taijutsu!" Might Guy said with sincerity.
He felt equally lucky to have found someone willing to teach him taijutsu.

Mu Yue smiled with satisfaction as he looked at the two pop-up notifications. Yes, you've hit the jackpot.
