Chapter 5 - Chapter Five: A Week of Change / Inventing the Most Famous Spell in the World of Games

A week had passed since the incident at the park, a week in which the world witnessed strange transformations that no one could explain. Some dormant volcanoes erupted suddenly in different parts of the world, and unprecedented destructive storms hit coastlines that had been calm for centuries. But the most striking change was in the world of living creatures, especially those with short lifespans and rapid life cycles, such as insects and microorganisms.

In Saylar's room, the teenager sat in front of his computer screen, following the news with curiosity. He now realized that what he had done by adding mana to the world had a greater impact than he had anticipated. He had unleashed a mysterious and exciting power, and the whole world was witnessing the beginnings of a radical change.

"This is interesting," Saylar thought to himself, reading an article about a group of brightly colored fish that had suddenly appeared in a river. "It seems that mana has begun to affect living beings, but slowly."

Saylar noticed that some news would suddenly disappear from the internet, and that there were attempts to cover up some strange events. It seemed that governments were trying to cover things up and control the flow of information.

"It seems that this is bigger than I thought," Saylar thought. "It seems that there are those who don't want people to know the truth about what is happening."

Saylar felt some anxiety, but it was quickly replaced by a sense of excitement and adventure. The world had become more mysterious and exciting, and Saylar was eager to discover what would happen next.

Saylar closed the browser window and headed quickly towards his bookcase.

"What if there are books that can help me understand what's happening?" Saylar thought curiously.

He began searching through the books for anything that might help him understand mana and how to deal with it. He found some old books about myths and magic, and some fantasy novels that talked about worlds filled with magical creatures and superpowers.

"Maybe I'll find some answers here," Saylar whispered to himself as he pulled a pile of books from the cupboard.

Saylar sat on the floor and eagerly opened one of the books. He read about the history of mana, its properties, and its effect on the world. He delved into reading myths and folktales that spoke of magic and supernatural creatures. He began to feel like he was touching a hidden truth behind the curtain of reality.

While Saylar was engrossed in reading, he heard a soft knock on his door.

"Come in," said Saylar.

The door opened, and his mother entered the room with a smile.

"Saylar, are you busy?" she asked.

"No, Mom," Saylar replied. "Come in."

"I wanted to give you this," his mother said, handing Saylar a small box wrapped in gift paper.

"What's this?" Saylar asked curiously.

"It's a small gift," his mother replied. "To celebrate you getting perfect scores on all your tests last week."

"Thank you, Mom," Saylar said gratefully, taking the box.

Saylar opened the box and found an elegant wristwatch inside. The watch had a black leather strap and a silver dial with Roman numerals.

"It's very beautiful, Mom," Saylar said with admiration. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, my dear," his mother said lovingly. "I hope you like it."

"I'm sure I will," Saylar said with a smile. "I'll wear it always."

Saylar's mother left the room, and Saylar returned to his books, his heart filled with gratitude for his family's love.

Saylar decided it was time to learn how to control and use mana. He started with simple attempts, like channeling mana through his body.

"I should try what I read about the vital aura," Saylar thought with focus.

He concentrated on the warm energy flowing through his veins and tried to direct it towards his limbs. He felt a slight tingling in his fingers and toes, and a feeling of energy surrounding his body.

Saylar remembered what he had read about mana in one of the old books, and how it forms a vital aura around living beings. He tried to improve this aura around himself, making it denser and stronger. He imagined this aura forming a shield around his body, protecting him from harm and enhancing his strength.

At first, the effects were small and unstable. Saylar could feel the mana flowing through his body, but he couldn't control it accurately. Sometimes it would fade quickly, and sometimes it would cause him some pain or exhaustion.

"It seems to be more difficult than I expected," Saylar thought. "But I won't give up."

Saylar continued to train patiently and persistently, and he began to notice some gradual improvement. The mana aura around his body became more stable, and he began to feel stronger and more durable.

Then Saylar moved on to training on focusing mana on specific parts of his body. He tried to focus mana in his fist, imagining that his punches had become stronger and faster. He also tried to focus mana on his feet, imagining that he could jump longer distances and faster.

After several days of continuous training, Saylar began to notice remarkable results. His punches became stronger and faster, and he was able to jump with lightness and agility he had never dreamed of before. Saylar felt happy and excited, and he realized that he was beginning to control the power of mana.

Saylar lit a candle and sat in front of it with focus. He stared at the dancing flame, trying to understand its nature and properties. He remembered what he had read about fire in ancient books, and how it represents energy, movement, and change.

Saylar extended his hand towards the candle and tried to direct mana towards the flame. He felt warmth spreading in his hand and a slight tingling in his fingertips. The flame began to flicker and dance erratically, as if responding to mana.

"This is interesting," Saylar thought. "It seems that mana interacts with fire in some way."

Saylar tried to control the flame using mana. He focused on increasing the intensity of the flame, and noticed that the flame began to grow and become brighter. Then he tried to reduce the intensity of the flame, and noticed that the flame began to dim and become smaller.

Saylar felt happy and excited. He had begun to control mana and affect the real world with it. But he wanted more. He wanted to generate flame from nothing, to shape it at will and control it freely.

Saylar began to think about fire from all its aspects. He read about myths that portray fire as a divine force, a symbol of purity and destruction. He delved into Eastern philosophy, which sees fire as a fundamental element in the formation of the universe, and believes in its ability to purify and transform. He studied physics and chemistry to understand the atomic structure of flame and how it ignites and spreads.

Saylar tried to connect all these concepts together, to find a way to harness mana to generate fire. He imagined that with the creative energy of the magic pen, he could recreate the first spark of life, moving atoms and molecules to produce heat and light.

Saylar sat in his room and closed his eyes. He began to focus on the mana within him, trying to feel it flowing through his veins, and imagined it turning into a small spark in his palms. He took a deep breath and began to recite some words he had read in ancient magic books, words that expressed energy, life, and light.

Saylar felt warmth spreading in his hands, and a slight tingling in his fingertips. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at his palms with focus. At first, he didn't notice anything. Then, he saw a small spark forming between his palms, then igniting into a small flame dancing in the air.

Saylar felt indescribable happiness and excitement. He had succeeded in generating flame from nothing! He was able to embody the concept of fire in the real world with his thought, will, and the power of mana.

"This is awesome!" Saylar thought excitedly. "Can I do more?"

Saylar remembered the games and novels he used to read, which described how mages used supernatural powers. He decided to try launching a fireball.

"But I can't do that here," Saylar thought wisely. "I might start a fire in the house."

Saylar left his room and told his mother that he was going for a walk. His mother nodded in agreement, and Saylar left the house.

Saylar headed to an abandoned building in the nearby neighborhood. The building was old and dilapidated, and it didn't look like anyone had used it in years. Saylar cautiously entered the building and chose a large, empty room to train in.

Saylar stood in the middle of the room and took a deep breath. He focused on the small flame dancing between his hands, and tried to intensify it and shape it into a ball. He felt the energy of mana flowing from his body towards his hands, and the flame began to grow and take a spherical shape.

Saylar closed his eyes for a moment and imagined a ball of fire rushing from his hands with force. When he opened his eyes, he found that the fireball had become the size of a basketball, and that it was radiating intense heat.

With a swift motion, Saylar launched the fireball towards one of the walls. The ball hit the wall with a loud thud, causing a small part of it to burn.

Saylar felt extremely exhausted and realized that he had consumed a tenth of his mana reserve to launch this fireball. But he was happy with what he had achieved. He was able to perform a supernatural task with the power of mana.

"This is amazing!" Saylar thought excitedly. "I have real power!"

Saylar left the abandoned building, feeling a confidence and strength he had never felt before. He had opened a new door in the world of mana, and he was excited to discover more and develop his abilities.
