Chapter 10 - Chapter Ten: The human highest peak

After Saylar accepted the offer of the old General Jabbar Jarallah, the General asked him to wait nearby until he finished the examination and organized the transfer of the applicants. About two hours later, the General finished distributing everyone, organizing them, and transporting them by plane to the assembly point.

"Well, if we're not going with them, is it safe to assume that the special class will be trained in a different place?" Saylar asked curiously.

The General smiled, looked at him, and nodded.

"That's right, the training and evaluation of the special class students is different. Your training will take place at the headquarters of the Human Alliance," the General said seriously.

The Human Alliance headquarters was established in a secret location, where the heads of all human alliances and the leaders responsible for leading humanity reside, to ensure unified work without focusing on ulterior motives. It is considered the most secure and fortified place on Earth, as it is fortified against nuclear and magical attacks and supported by several military legions that roam around the place to ensure that no creature crosses, even if it is literally an ant! Every person in these soldiers is considered a person who does not exist in this world, as their identity, purpose, and existence are solely to protect the Alliance headquarters. It was built a month ago.

"They built an Alliance headquarters this quickly? I'm really amazed by their capabilities. But why is this special class being trained in such a place?" Saylar asked in astonishment.

The General smiled sarcastically and replied,

"It's natural that these cowards can build a base like this in a few weeks, let alone months. As for your question, this is of course because the people who will attend this class are considered the foundations upon which humanity will stand in the near future. You may not realize this, but humanity is in a difficult situation and is in a race against time. The united army that fought against the monstrous tide in the Amazon was nearly wiped out, and we only won for two reasons: the first is the help provided by the Awakened, and the second is that the monsters have not fully completed their evolution. But believe me, if you give them enough time, they will wipe all human traces off the map. Believe me when I tell you this, you haven't seen what these abominable creatures are capable of." The General finished his words, a look of fear passing through his eyes, as if he was remembering the most horrific scenes before his eyes...

...

Saylar was silent from the weight of the subject, because he still hadn't forgiven himself for putting billions of people around the world at risk because of his recklessness, and he had vowed to compensate humanity for his mistake.

So he looked seriously at the General and said,

"Then let's hurry, General! If humanity is in a race against time with the other races, then we must accelerate development comprehensively." Saylar said, determination filling his eyes.

The General looked in astonishment at the eyes of the young man and saw a spark of hope, so the traces of fear disappeared from his eyes and he regained his previous prestige and confidence, and smiled and said,

"Let's go, I'll take you using my private plane." The General said and took Saylar...

...

Five hours later, in an unknown location on Earth, a plane landed on an airstrip at the secret base and lined up next to ten other planes from different countries. Saylar was allowed to disembark from the plane after undergoing many centralized checks.

"Well, I'm allowed to accompany you this far. Hatem will follow you later after settling matters, and your luggage has been transferred to your designated house. Take care of yourself, young man. I hope you blossom and grow to heights that no one has reached before." The General said with a smile, and after shaking Saylar's hand, he turned and boarded his plane.

"So here we are. I wonder who I will see in this special class." Saylar sighed and turned behind a beautiful woman wearing a black business suit embroidered with dazzling gold patterns, wearing round glasses and carrying a tablet in her hands. She approached Saylar and examined him seriously.

"Hello, I'm Anya Miller, responsible for managing your affairs during your stay in this place until you complete your studies, and I will take care of all your needs until then." She said with a professional smile.

"Pleased to meet you, Miss Anya. I will rely on you in the coming period of our journey." Saylar said with a smile.

"The honor is mine, sir. Now that you have arrived, all the people qualified for this class will be present. Would you mind if I lead the way to the meeting hall for the introductory session, if you don't mind?" Anya asked with a smile.

He nodded his head with a smile.

"No, not at all. Lead the way, please." Saylar said and followed Anya, looking around at the facilities and institutions around him, where he saw the headquarters of the Scientific Union and its laboratories, in addition to several scientists conducting some experiments in the open spaces, in addition to the soldiers patrolling everywhere. He noticed that the place was full of cameras in every part of it, and there wasn't even a single blind corner. He continued to follow her for a while until he reached a huge building built in a circular shape resembling a crystal dome. There were some young people, in addition to a huge man standing in front of them, wearing a formal suit and having an elegant character in all his movements. Despite his large size, the first thought that comes to your mind after seeing him after the word "huge" is the word "refined."

The man looked at Saylar, smiled, nodded, and gestured for him to join the young people standing in front of him.

"Welcome, I am a retired general, you can call me Mr. Bill. I am responsible for organizing your training schedules and responsible for guiding each of you to the best path for them. I hope you work hard, because even if you are the hope of the future, I will not have mercy on the lazy. Do you understand?" Mr. Bill asked seriously.

"Yes, sir." The young people replied nervously.

"Now, let each of you introduce themselves to the others, because the eleven young people among you are the ones who have earned the right to enter this special class. So who wants to start?" Mr. Bill said seriously.

"Me, me, sir!" A girl with brown hair, green eyes, and brown skin jumped with vitality and enthusiasm.

"Go ahead." Mr. Bill replied calmly.

The girl smiled and stepped forward and greeted everyone.

"Hello everyone, I'm Isabella Silva, I'm from Brazil, I'm 16 years old, and I excel in fighting with foot-fighting styles, such as Taekwondo and kickboxing. Please take care of me!" The girl said in a loud voice with a bright smile.

"Very nice. Who's next?" Mr. Bill asked calmly after Isabella finished introducing herself.

A young man with pale white skin, blond hair, and ocean-blue eyes raised his hand.

"Hello, I'm Bjorn Hansen, I'm 17 years old, I'm from Norway, and I love nature, art, and meditation, and I hate violence and harming others." Bjorn said calmly, and it seems his mind wanders most of the time.

"I'm next. My name is Alejandro Garcia, I'm from Brazil, and I like to use a huge sword to fight. I also love music and playing." A tall young man with a large build, curly hair, and light brown skin said with a smile.

The others were amazed by his height.

"I'm next. My name is Kenji Tanaka, I'm 16, I'm from Japan, I love drawing and origami." A short boy with black hair said shyly.

"I'm Laila Al-Sayed, I'm 17, I'm from Egypt, my dream is to become an archaeologist and explore the wonders around the new world." A visual girl with black hair and golden eyes shining with a strangely bright golden light said.

"I'm Saylar, I'm originally from Britain, but I was raised and lived in Iraq, so it's safe to say that I'm Iraqi. I love adventure and trying new things, and I don't have a particular martial art in mind." Saylar said as he greeted the others.

"Hello, I'm Aisha Okoro, I'm 16, I'm from Nigeria, and I love sprinting and javelin throwing." A black-skinned girl with a beautiful face and captivating purple eyes said.

"Hello, I'm Katerina Papadopoulos, I'm 18 years old, and I'm from Russia, I love dancing." A tall girl with white hair tied in a long braid that reached her knees said with a strong Russian accent.

An Indian boy smiled when he saw Katerina and stepped forward after her to introduce himself.

"Hello everyone, I'm Arnav Patel, I'm 16 years old, I'm from India, as is obvious. I love discovery and technology, and I have a PhD in each of robotics engineering, artificial intelligence, and biochemistry, and I'm excited to achieve my dream or my current goal to be the first person to integrate mana with technology, and I'm also one of the scientists of the Human Scientific Alliance." A dark-skinned boy with a height of 189 cm with short hair said boastfully.

A Chinese girl gave Arnav a sideways glance and stepped forward.

"My name is Lin Wang, I'm from China, I'm 19 years old, I'm an expert in elemental chemistry, and I have a PhD in neurochemistry, and I love making poisons. I hope you won't bother me much in the future unless it's important, and I also work with this idiot in the Human Scientific Alliance." A Chinese girl with hair covering half her face and black round-framed glasses said calmly and slowly, and it looked as if she was going to fall asleep at any moment.

"Last but not least, I'm Jameson Carter, I'm 17, you can call me Jimmy. I love basketball and I love surfing, and I hope to become the strongest mana user of the wizard type in the near future, and to be as strong as Gandalf the White from Lord of the Rings." A blond American boy said enthusiastically.

"So with that, we have finished getting to know each other. You will work together in the future so that each of you improves the other, and so that each of you benefits from the other and learns from them to enhance their growth. You are all considered the pinnacle among the current human highest peak in terms of talent, as each of you has shown either a high talent in mana or distinct potential that exceeds your talent in mana. So learn from everything you will be exposed to during your studies here in the next year, so make your effort to improve. Is my speech understood?" Mr. Bill said in a clear and loud voice in a military style.

"Understood, sir!" The young people replied with enthusiasm and excitement, waiting for what awaits them in the near future.

"So go to your residences and rest, and your training will begin tomorrow. Rest well, because it will be your last night of peaceful sleep in the next world." Mr. Bill said with a frightening smile as he dispersed everyone, and then he turned and left.

"Damn it, man! This doesn't seem to bode well. I hope it doesn't delay my projects." Arnav said helplessly.

"Well, the saying goes: 'The sword that doesn't kill you makes you stronger,' so we must take advantage of what comes and not waste this opportunity in the coming future." Saylar replied seriously.

"Yeah, now forget about that. Do you know where we can find a cafe or something like that? I want to get to know all of you better." Jimmy said enthusiastically.

"Yeah, let's celebrate, because I feel like this won't be an option after today." Isabella said enthusiastically.

"Well, I wouldn't mind some coffee in a quiet place." Bjorn replied in a low voice.

"Don't count me among you." Lin Wang said calmly and turned and left.

"So will the rest come?" Saylar asked, looking at the rest of the people.

"So let's go. Anya, can you lead the way, please?" Saylar asked with a smile after everyone nodded in agreement.

"Certainly, follow me, sir." Anya said and walked towards a place near the headquarters of the Scientific Alliance.

"By the way, who is this?" Katerina asked curiously, pointing towards Anya.

Saylar looked at them and said, "This is Anya, she is the person responsible for managing my affairs and helping me in my daily life during the coming period." Saylar replied.

"You mean your personal assistant? Why didn't they offer us something like this?" Patel wondered curiously.

"Don't you have one?" Saylar asked in surprise.

"No." Everyone replied in unison.

"That's strange then." Saylar said in surprise.

"Sir, I was appointed by General Jabbar to serve you during this period, meaning I am not one of the exclusive features for all students in the special class." Anya said with a smile.

"Damn it, man! I really envy you, you have such a beautiful girl as your personal assistant!" Patel said jealously.

"What does it matter? I have a fiancee in Iraq." Saylar replied calmly.

"At this young age?" Aisha wondered in surprise.

"Well, it's not official, but the agreement is implicit between my family and her family." Saylar replied calmly.

...

"Nice, tell us more about her." Jimmy said enthusiastically.

"I prefer not to talk about my personal life." Saylar said calmly.

"Damn, okay, as you wish." Jimmy said in frustration, and then changed the subject. The young men and women talked until sunset in the cafe that Anya took them to.
