Chapter 6 - ch6

"Ha~ nothing interesting again."

The teenager lying on the bed yawned and scrolled through videos on a popular site, bored.

His name was Ethan, and he had just finished playing a game. He planned to relax by watching some videos, but he couldn't find any that caught his interest.

Ethan pouted, then noticed a short video with over 10,000 likes.

"Shocked, he actually did such a thing to his pet?"

"This is an old clickbait title," Ethan muttered.

Ethan couldn't help but smirk. The "Shocked" series had been famous for a long time, but over time, videos with such titles often didn't live up to the hype.

Still, classics were classics, and Ethan's curiosity got the better of him, so he clicked on the video.

"Tsk tsk~ Over 10,000 likes in just three hours. That's impressive."

Ethan noted the video's release time, which was 2 o'clock that afternoon.

The video began in a neat and tidy room.

A classic background music known as "Bliss Pure Land" began to play, and as a seasoned otaku, Ethan felt an immediate connection!

"This song is a classic!"

His fingers moved rapidly, as if by instinct, and within seconds, he opened the comment box, typed his comment, and sent it, all in one fluid motion.

Then Ethan continued watching, and his eyes widened suddenly!

The camera panned slowly, revealing a cute creature in a white dress.

With large, bright ruby eyes, slender hands holding a beautiful fan, and an aura of elegance that was evident even through the screen.

"Impressive!"

Although it wasn't human, Ethan was captivated by the creature's beauty.

"What the...?"

Ethan was even more taken aback, uttering an uncharacteristic exclamation.

As the music progressed, this beautiful creature began waving its fan in time with the beat.

Although its lower body was composed of diamond-like ore, differing from typical human dance, its upper body structure was remarkably human-like.

Its smile was graceful, its movements elegant, and its form was stunning.

It was truly captivating!

Most importantly...

This enchanting creature was perfectly in sync with the music!

Ethan was stunned by the dancing beauty on the screen, his eyes slowly lighting up with excitement.

What on earth!

This was definitely not CGI, Ethan was sure of that. Coming from a well-off family and being quite tech-savvy, he had learned some computer skills from private tutors.

This isn't CGI! So, could it be real?

But what kind of animal was this? Judging by the title, it seemed to be a pet, but he had never seen anything like it.

If such a beautiful pet existed and could perform like this, it would have gone viral online long ago!

Ethan quickly opened the comments section. He had a habit of checking comments for additional information because...

The moment the comments loaded, the screen was flooded with reactions, obscuring the view of the beautiful creature.

But Ethan was used to this; what he needed was information about this creature!

"Beautiful! Diancie is so beautiful!"

"Wow~ I'm in love. She's actually winking at me!!"

"I'd pay so much for a Diancie! I have to have it in my life!"

"One can't or at least shouldn't... Never mind, Diancie! My Diancie!"

"What kind of fairy is this? So cute, beautiful, and can dance. My God!"

"Ah Wei, hurry up and make this happen! Never mind, I'll do it myself, awsl!" ("awsl" stands for "Ah, I'm dying of cuteness!" in internet slang.)

Ethan quickly caught the pet's name from the comments: Diancie?

Sounds impressive!

Ethan turned off the comments and focused intently on Diancie's graceful dance, a smile naturally forming on his face.

Soon, "Bliss Pure Land" concluded, and Diancie spun elegantly, folding her fan and crossing her hands in front of her in a graceful bow.

"Beautiful!"

Ethan couldn't resist commenting.

He even sensed an upbringing and politeness in Diancie that surpassed most people, like a noble lady who had received a refined education.

This was incredible!

"Hello everyone~"

At that moment, a clear male voice appeared.

In the video, a clean and handsome young man approached Diancie—it was Alex.

Ethan held back a comment, almost wanting to say "stay away from my princess"!

But he remembered that one can't—or at least shouldn't—react that way, so he restrained himself.

"How did you like Diancie's performance, everyone? This is my little princess. It took a lot of persuasion to get her to agree to this video."

Alex said with a smile, and beside him, Diancie seemed to understand his words, lowering her head slightly and covering her face with her fan.

She was shy!

"Many of you might be curious about Diancie, right? I must stress that there's no other Diancie in the world, so please don't message me about acquiring her."

"Diancie is a cherished family member, and I would never sell her."

When he said this, Alex's tone was serious.

Ethan was silent. He had considered messaging Alex privately about acquiring Diancie, but it seemed that wouldn't be possible.

"But aside from Diancie, I have other magical pets here. Like Diancie, they'll bring you a refreshing experience. I run a pet store, and you're all welcome to visit."

"The shop's address is pinned at the top of the comments. Trust me, this shop..."

The tone shifted, and Alex smiled.

"Alright~ Say goodbye to our lovely friends."

Diancie tilted her head slightly, her eyes squinting into crescents as she waved goodbye.

Absolutely charming!

But the video ended abruptly.

"Pokémon pet shop."

Ethan quickly scrolled to the comments section. The number of comments had already surpassed 10,000, but Ethan wasn't surprised.

He found the pinned address: Magic City. Coincidentally, he was in Magic City too.

In that case... Should I go check it out?
