Alaina's POV
"You are sure it isn't his elder brother?" Keisha asked, her eyes dilating. "Alaina, you've got to be careful around him."
I knew Henry wasn't the one who attacked me. I had seen that man's face, and it wasn't Henry. Yes, he was acting strange, but he couldn't do that.
Keisha had sighed, leaning back in the hospital chair as if the weight of the conversation had settled on her shoulders. "I'm just saying... he's not someone you want to trust too easily." Her eyes darted toward the window, as though something out there might give her the answers she wasn't giving me.
I nodded, as though I understood. As though I agreed. But the truth was, I wasn't sure what to make of Keisha's warning. It felt… strange. Unsettling. As much as I wanted to believe her, she too was acting strange. She had been mentioning Henry's name every now and then… like she knew him…
