Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Fight It Out

Hearing Chino's loud declaration, Mo-Mochi immediately dashes over to the throne room, but he decides to take a more stealthy approach. He sneaks in while Chino is distracting Kiran with his bold statement. Mo-Mochi carefully observes the situation; he thinks he'd be more useful hidden for now, just in case Kiran tried using any of his cheap tricks. Kiran's smirk fades, replaced by a look of curiosity. The tension in the air grows as both opponents prepare to prove their strength and skill.

Chino charges at his opponent, launching a barrage of lightning-fast blows. Kiran uses his strength and robust body to block and counter Chino's attacks, demonstrating his own endurance and durability. As the battle intensifies, Chino's agility and ability to predict his opponent's moves become evident as he effortlessly dodges Kiran's powerful strikes. With each move, Chino showcases his skill in martial arts with movement and fluidity.

Chino, feeling a bit cocky, says, "Is that all you've got? You may be strong, but that strength means nothing if you can't land a hit on me!" Kiran, undeterred by Chino's taunting, smirks and replies, "Strength alone may not be enough, but I have more tricks up my sleeve." Kiran snickers to himself as he prepares to unleash his secret technique. Kiran, using brute strength, propelled himself towards Chino at an incredible speed. As he shouts, "Let's see you dodge this damn cat, Merry-Go-Round Gum!" Kiran spits out this strange purple substance.

Chino, expecting this technique, quickly does a slide under Kiran's legs and narrowly avoids the purple substance. As he gracefully dodges the attack, Chino counters with a swift swipe to Kiran's back, exploiting Kiran's momentary vulnerability. The strike sends Kiran stumbling forward, momentarily losing his balance. However, Kiran quickly regains his composure. Chino then says with a smirk, "Nice try. I know all about your gum technique, and I'm not going to fall for it easily."

Chino's knowledge of Kiran's technique initially stifles his confidence, but he quickly regains his bravado. Responding confidently, "You may know about my gum technique, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve that you haven't seen yet." Kiran begins to think to himself, "Who exactly is this cat, and who could have told him about my family's techniques? Hmm, it looks like I'm going to have to be a bit more clever here.

Kiran then lets out an intimidating laugh and replies, "Oh, so you're aware of my tricks, aren't you? Well, I've got something in store for you, cat. Let's see if you'll be able to expect this. Though this wasn't his intention, Kiran smiles and spreads his wings to get an edge in the air. He intended to surprise the cat. Kiran began to use his wings to create powerful gusts of wind that sent Chino stumbling backwards. The force of the wind made it difficult for Chino to maintain their footing, causing them to struggle to regain control. Kiran continued to manipulate the wind, making it swirl around Chino, further disorienting them and making it harder for them to defend themselves.

Kiran sees his opportunity and swiftly dives towards Chino, shouting, "LET'S SEE YOU DODGE THIS ONE, CAT! YOU'RE MINE!" as he aims a right hook directly at Chino's jaw. Mo-Mochi goes in to push the cat out of the way just before the hit could connect, and he succeeds but is unable to save himself from taking the devastating blow from Kiran. Being thrown into the air, hitting the throne chamber's walls before falling to the ground. Mo-Mochi lay on the ground still, dazed and disoriented from the impact.

Chino ran over to him and knelt down, sadness filling his eyes as he looked at his friend. He turned him over to see his face, which was badly bruised, and he said in a worried tone, "Mo-Mochi, are you okay? Can you hear me?" Mo-Mochi groaned in response, his eyes fluttering open. Chino just looked at him in confusion and said, "Why? Why did you save me? You could have ended up dead yourself!" Mo-Mochi weakly smiled and replied, "We're friends. Chino friends have to always have each other's back. We are friends, aren't we?

Chino took a moment to take in what he had heard; he had always traveled alone and had never truly gotten to know anybody, not close enough to see one as an ally. "Besides, even though it was risky, I know from our fight that I can at least take a punch fairly well, and you're the stronger one out of the two of us," Mo-Mochi said as he struggled to stand up after that strike. "It's better for me to absorb the hit than for you to risk injury."

Mo-Mochi gets back up, holding one of his arms, wincing in pain, and breathing heavily. Chino tells him, "No, Mochi, you don't have to keep fighting." Kiran yells at the children, "I'LL MAKE YOU TWO REGRET EVER OPPOSING ME!!!" as he charges at Mo-Mochi and Chino. Mo-Mochi just raises his fist and shouts, "CHIRAN NOW!!!" Out of nowhere, Chiran dashes into the room, shouting, "GO GO GUM!" A similar gum-like material that he spits out envelops Kiran's body, immobilizing him.

The gum-like substance had effectively trapped him, leaving him at the mercy of Mo-Mochi and Chino. Chiran shouts at the two boys, "Now you two finish him; give it everything you've got!" Kiran tried to break free from the gum-like substance, but his efforts were in vain. Rendered immobile, Kiran looked to his brother. "Brother, how? I thought you'd never come back, and what is this? This isn't Merry-Go-Round Gum."

Before he could even think further about the situation, it was too late. Mo-Mochi and Chino launched a powerful joint attack, unleashing their full strength on Kiran. The force of their combined powers was overwhelming, and Kiran could do nothing but brace himself for the impact. Groaning in pain as he was launched into the air, breaking through the ceiling and into the sky above, soaring through the clouds until he was out of sight. The battle was over.

Chiran ran over to the boys and said to them, "You guys did it; you defeated my brother. Chino just smiled and nodded, acknowledging the victory. Mo-Mochi, still catching his breath, added, "It was a team effort. We couldn't have done it without each other. By the way, Chiran, what was that special item that you said you needed? Is it that weird gum you used on him?" As they both looked back at Chiran, they couldn't believe what they heard him say, Oh, I just needed my glasses."

The two just looked dumbfounded at Chiran's response. They expected some powerful artifact or mystical weapon, but it turned out to be his glasses. The boys just laughed; they were just relieved that it was all over. Time passes after the defeat of Chiran. Chiran called Mo-Mochi and Chino into his royal room. He says to the two boys, "Thank you two so much for finding me and helping me get back to my kingdom. If you're interested, you can stay in our village as long as you like. I'll even have my best guards personally train you both for as long as you like."

Pointing toward Chino, he said, "If you're interested in getting stronger, stay here for a while; we'll make sure you're properly taken care of, so all you'd have to focus on is training." Chino accepted, and he seemed excited with the idea of being able to train with dinosaurs. Chiran then points to Mo-Mochi and says, "Mo-Mochi, for healing my wing so that I could fly again, I'll have a parting gift for you whenever you two decide to leave.

I assume you'll be training here with us as well." Mo-Mochi nods and says, "Of course, I'll be happy to wait on it." Chiran looks at the both of them and says, "Then it's settled, guards, take our guests for some personal training. Make sure these two have the strength to face off against the best of us. Giran Village is now at peace. The guards took Mo-Mochi and Chino away to start their training.
