Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 : Let's Dance Under the Moonlight!

The grand hall of the William estate shimmered with opulence.

Chandeliers sparkled like constellations, their light casting a warm glow over the polished marble floors.

The air buzzed with excitement and anticipation as the party reached its peak.

Guests laughed and mingled, the clinking of glasses providing a pleasant backdrop to the lively music played by the orchestra at the far end of the hall.

Sarah walked along the edges of the gathering, her steps slow and deliberate.

She kept her gaze casual but attentive, scanning the room with a calculated ease.

Though her expression was calm, her mind was racing, plotting her next move as always.

This was no ordinary gathering for her; every moment was an opportunity, every interaction a potential weapon.

But her thoughts were interrupted when a familiar voice called out to her.

"Sarah," Josh's warm tone reached her ears before his hand gently grasped hers.

Sarah turned to face him, her eyes narrowing slightly in curiosity. Josh smiled, his grip firm yet considerate.

"Would you do me the honor of a dance?"

For a brief moment, Sarah considered declining.

She wasn't here to indulge in pleasantries, but the eyes of the William family—and many of the guests—were already on them. Reluctantly, she nodded and let him lead her to the center of the hall.

---

As they stepped into the open space, the music shifted seamlessly into a romantic melody, its soft rhythm coaxing the crowd into silence.

Josh placed one hand on Sarah's waist, the other still holding her hand.

She rested her free hand lightly on his shoulder, her movements poised and graceful.

Their dance began slowly, each step deliberate, as though they were the only two people in the world.

The room seemed to fade away, leaving only the shimmering lights above and the sound of the orchestra.

Sarah noticed the intensity in Josh's gaze as he looked at her. His charm was undeniable, but she was far from being swept off her feet.

Still, she allowed herself to move fluidly with him, matching his steps and letting the moment play out.

From the sidelines, the William family watched with varying degrees of interest.

---

Eithan, ever there big brother, cheered loudly, his voice echoing over the soft music.

"That's it, Josh! Show her what you've got!"

Ruhr, though more reserved, joined in with a small smile.

"You're doing great, Josh," she said softly, her support heartfelt but understated.

Adi, Josh's youngest brother, whooped and hollered like a child at a carnival.

"Go, Josh! Don't trip now!"

Albert, the family's eternal optimist and food enthusiast, clapped excitedly, his youthful energy infectious.

"You better not mess this up, Josh!" he exclaimed, his laughter drawing smiles from those nearby.

---

On the far side of the room, Max William and Alia sat together, watching the scene unfold with an air of quiet satisfaction.

Max, the head of the family, sipped his drink with a small smile.

"He's grown up well," he remarked, his tone light but tinged with pride.

Alia, however, was more absorbed in her thoughts. She leaned slightly closer to Max, her lips curving into a sly smile.

Though outwardly pleased, her mind raced with schemes and possibilities.

"Sarah will make a fine daughter-in-law," Alia thought to herself, her gaze lingering on the young woman dancing with her son.

There was something about Sarah that Alia couldn't quite place, a mysterious allure that seemed almost otherworldly.

It excited her, though she masked it well behind a façade of decorum.

Alia's hand brushed lightly against Max's arm as she let out a soft laugh.

"They make quite the pair, don't they?" she said, her voice low and melodic.

---

Back on the dance floor, Sarah maintained her calm demeanor, though she was acutely aware of every eye on her.

Josh's movements were confident but not overbearing, his steps fluid as he guided her through the routine.

"You're full of surprises, Josh," Sarah said, her voice light but edged with sarcasm.

Josh chuckled, his grip tightening slightly on her waist.

"And you're full of mysteries, Sarah. Maybe tonight, you'll let me uncover a few."

Sarah's lips curved into a faint smile.

"Careful what you wish for," she replied, her tone teasing yet distant.

As the dance continued, Sarah's thoughts drifted to Alia.

From the few encounters they'd had, Sarah knew that Alia was a force to be reckoned with.

Though the matriarch had always treated her with warmth, Sarah could sense the calculating mind behind the friendly façade.

"She's watching me closely," Sarah thought, her eyes flicking briefly to the far side of the room where Alia sat.

---

As the dance reached its crescendo, the orchestra swelled, the music growing more intense.

Josh spun Sarah gracefully, drawing a few gasps of admiration from the crowd.

For a brief moment, Sarah allowed herself to enjoy the applause that followed.

It wasn't often that she was the center of attention in such a positive light, and though her goals were far from romantic, the experience was not entirely unpleasant.

But as the music faded and Josh led her off the dance floor, Sarah's focus sharpened once more.

---

"Impressive as always, brother," Eithan said, clapping Josh on the back as they rejoined the group.

"Thanks," Josh replied, grinning.

"Though I can't take all the credit. Sarah's a natural."

Ruhr nodded in agreement.

"You two looked good out there," she said, her tone sincere.

Sarah smiled politely, though she felt no need to respond.

Instead, her mind was already working through the implications of the night's events.

The William family was clearly fond of her, and that could work to her advantage.

---

Across the room, Alia leaned back in her seat, her expression one of satisfaction.

"She's perfect," Alia murmured, her words barely audible.

Max glanced at her, raising an eyebrow.

"You've already made up your mind?"

Alia smiled, her gaze fixed on Sarah.

"Oh, Max, I decided the moment I saw her. She'll make a fine addition to the family."

Max said nothing, though his expression remained thoughtful.

---

As the evening wore on, Sarah found herself drawn into more conversations with the William family and their guests.

Each interaction provided her with new insights, new opportunities to exploit.

Though the night had begun as a simple party, it ended as something far more significant.

For Sarah, it was a step closer to her ultimate goal. For the Williams, it was the beginning of a relationship that would change their lives forever.

And for Alia, it was the moment she knew she had found the perfect candidate to shape the family's future.
