Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 :「 August ②③ 」

The warm sun bathed the grand estate of the William family, William House RTC, in a golden glow as Tara and her fiancé, Rocky, stepped out of their luxury car.

Tara adjusted her sunglasses, her rich, effortless charm radiating as she looked up at her childhood home.

"It's good to be back," Tara said, her voice carrying a playful tone of entitlement. She tossed her wavy hair and glanced at Rocky, who smiled warmly at her.

The pair had just returned from a two-week vacation along the picturesque coastline, where they explored secluded beaches, enjoyed fine dining, and indulged in luxury.

Tara was glowing with excitement as she stepped into the house, with Rocky following closely behind, carrying their designer luggage.

---

As they entered the hall, Max William, the head of the family, and his wife, Alia, were already waiting to greet them. Tara squealed in delight as she rushed forward to hug her father.

"Daddy!" she exclaimed, her voice dripping with the playful exuberance of a daddy's girl.

"I missed you so much!"

Max laughed, patting her back affectionately.

"It's good to have you home, sweetheart. You seem to have enjoyed yourself."

"Oh, absolutely," Tara said, pulling away and giving her mother, Alia, a warm hug next.

"The beaches were awesome, and Rocky planned everything so perfectly!"

Rocky smiled as he stepped forward, shaking Max's hand firmly before giving him a quick, respectful hug.

"Good to see you, sir. And you too, ma'am," he said, turning to Alia and embracing her as well.

Alia smiled warmly. "It's lovely to have you both back. The house has been a little too quiet without your energy, Tara."

Tara laughed. "Don't worry, Mother. I'm here now to liven things up."

---

Before Tara could say more, a carefree voice called out from across the hall.

"Big sis!" Eithan, the second son of the family, bounded into the room, his energy as unrestrained as ever. He greeted Tara with an exaggerated wave and a grin.

"Eithan!" Tara exclaimed, hugging him tightly.

"Still as wild as ever, huh?"

Eithan laughed.

"You know it. Welcome back, Tara! We missed you. Even Josh did, though he won't admit it."

Josh appeared moments later, his expression a mix of excitement and embarrassment. He gave Tara a quick, shy hug.

"Good to see you, Tara," he said.

Tara ruffled his hair playfully. "Good to see you too, little brother. You've grown since I last saw you!"

"Not that much," Josh muttered, trying to fix his hair.

---

The reunion was briefly interrupted by the arrival of Robert, Max's brother and the family's jovial uncle. Robert's presence always brought an air of lightheartedness to any gathering.

"Tara!" Robert called out as he entered the hall.

"Look at you! Two weeks away, and you come back glowing like a sunny !"

Tara laughed, rushing to hug her uncle. "Uncle Robert! You're as cool as ever."

"Of course I am," Robert replied with a wink.

"Welcome back, dear. And Rocky, good to see you too."

Rocky shook Robert's hand. "Always a pleasure, sir."

---

As everyone settled in the hall, Tara turned to Max, noticing a subtle tension in the air.

"So, what's new around here?" she asked casually, removing her sunglasses and placing them on the coffee table.

Max and Alia exchanged a glance before Max cleared his throat.

"Well, there's been some... development news ," Max began.

Tara raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? What kind of development? / News?"

Max hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Your little brother, Josh, is getting married , same day's as You and rocky will get married ."

Tara's eyes widened in surprise, her gaze shifting to Josh. "Married? Really? To whom?"

"To Sarah," Alia chimed in.

"She's the daughter of our servant, Leo."

Tara blinked, processing the information.

"The daughter of our servant?" she repeated, her tone neutral.

Josh nodded, avoiding her gaze. "Yes, Tara. It's true."

Tara's expression remained unreadable. She leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs elegantly. "Huh. Well, I guess congratulations are in order."

Josh looked at her, surprised. "You're... okay with it?"

Tara shrugged. "It's your life, Josh. If you're happy, then who am I to judge? Though I must admit, it's a bit unexpected."

---

Eithan chimed in, his carefree attitude shining through. "See, Tara's cool about it. No need for all this drama!"

Robert, however, couldn't resist a playful jab. "I didn't see this coming either, but hey, love works in mysterious ways."

Tara smirked. "Love, huh? I suppose so."

Rocky, who had been quiet until now, gave Josh a supportive pat on the back.

"Congratulations, Josh. I'm sure Sarah is a wonderful person."

Josh muttered a quiet "thank you," still unsure of how to feel about the situation.

---

Despite her outward acceptance, Tara's mind was racing.

She wasn't one to judge based on status, but the idea of her brother marrying a servant's daughter was certainly unconventional for their family. Still, she decided it wasn't her place to interfere.

If Josh is happy, she thought, then so be it. But I'll keep an eye on Sarah. Something about this feels... off.

Tara didn't voice her suspicions, choosing instead to maintain her role as the supportive sister.

---

As the family continued catching up, the atmosphere grew lighter.

Tara shared stories from her vacation, recounting her adventures on the beach and the stunning sunsets she had witnessed.

Her lively personality brought a spark to the house, and even Josh seemed to relax in her presence.

For now, the impending wedding was pushed to the back of everyone's minds. But beneath the surface, questions and doubts lingered, hinting at the challenges yet to come.
