After sending out the orders for the 3 🌟 troops to let lose, the high elfs. There have been no news from the walls so I decided to visit them.
At least I'm brave enough to assess the situation from there since the opponent don't even have a bow and can't harm me. And the fact that the ladders would take a day , today will be my last day in the front walls.
As I reached the wall, it was too peaceful, way too uncanny for my health.
I approached some troops who instantly saluted me as soon as they saw me.
I raised my hand to signal them to stand down and they did, it felt amazing.
"What's the current status of the battle."
I asked one of the resting troops.
To be honest, left and right, everyone is just resting, chilling in fact.
"Once the commanders went down the walls, they instantly incinerated everything along their path. None of the current army could follow them, and we were ordered to not go down the walls, no matter what.
After clearing the surrounding army, all four commanders had a tacit agreement and went in four directions to chase the retreating enemies.
They plan to leave none alive."
The horror, the thrill! OMG! What was I so worried about then??? Can't they have done that since day 1?
I only complained about it in my mind, on the surface I maintained a good smile and said, "You all have worked hard, collect the spoils and we'll hold a banquet, big enough to accommodate everyone present for our first war."
Saying so, I felt badass and instantly make a U-turn and returned back to base.
I cleared 1k magic cores for gold and prepared a lush party with 10k gold, not a single gold coin was spared in the process.
As the party went on, I felt like I was really living in some dream and wished I would never wake up from this dream.
The next day I woke up to a headache.
The magic cores in my possession totals 33k. This talent is awesome.
But then, when I saw the debts, my eyes hurt.
70k gold in pure war cost... 272.8k gold from the loan. 1.3k gold in maintenance cost. Wall reparations would cost another 20k gold.
364.1k gold debt in total, I feel like dying. Those war spoilts were all spoiled that not a single item could be scrap away as well.
Today battle has been a total loss for me, I'm dissapointed.. Immensely so.
For now, I'll just ignore everything and stack up on the magic cores.

I got a warning that stated that my war reparations cost would double if I don't pay within the next 48 hours and that my walls would crumble if I don't pay in the next 10 hours.
Just having those 4 elfs let lose for one day cost me 40k gold, 10k gold each, this is insane.
138,244 magic cores, I've already reached the cap. I'm a genius but well, sad news is, my peers are already taming dragons and someone has even started his own expedition, expanding his land to forge his own kingdom....
Yet here I am, stacking up on those items that's way too much for me to ever spend.
