Selena
As we stepped out of the cafeteria, Ella grabbed my arm and pulled me back, her eyes brimming with curiosity. "Okay, spill it," she demanded. "What was that about?"
I sighed, a soft smile tugging at my lips. "I don't think Stanley is interested in me," I replied, starting toward her car.
Ella hurried to keep pace, her heels clicking against the pavement. "What makes you say that?" she pressed. "And why are you smiling like you just uncovered some juicy gossip?"
Stopping abruptly, I turned to face her, holding her gaze. "Can't you see?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"See what?" Ella's confusion was written all over her face.
"Stanley is into men, Ella," I said in a calm but pointed tone.
Her eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, she just stared at me. "Oh," she finally said, processing the revelation. "Wow. I see. But how didn't I pick up on that? You could've told me sooner!"
