Richard
The black SUV idled at the curb as I stared at the restaurant in front of me. The glowing sign above the entrance buzzed faintly in the evening air, its neon letters flickering occasionally. This was the address my link had sent me; a casual restaurant, nothing fancy.
I unlocked my phone, typing a quick message.
'I'm outside.'
The response came instantly, as though they'd been waiting, watching.
'Come in.'
I tightened my grip on the phone, my pulse quickening. No directions, no instructions... just a command. I glanced at the tinted windows of the restaurant, unable to make out what was inside.
"What the hell am I walking into?" I muttered to myself.
