Diane yawned. Something hard, yet warm seemed to be underneath her skin. She liked the warmth, so she snuggled closer to it. She opened her eyes momentarily, only to catch a glimpse of blue hair. Her eyes snapped open In an instant, and she tried to prevent herself from releasing an audible gasp. How on earth... Did they get into such a position?!!
Diane just stared at Diego several times. Well, nothing she could do, since Diego had her in his bear-like grip. Moreover, the man's entire right leg was on top of her, and it was heavy. She hated to admit it, but Diego was quite dashing. "You are so naughty. You don't listen to me, and you always do as you please." She said quietly, using her index fingers to trace his eye brows. "You enjoy hurting me, too." She said, but seemed to pause due to some internal conflict. Damn it, Diane! What are you doing? You ought to be mad at him right now! Don't let his handsomeness.... fool... you? She didn't know how, but her fingers seemed to make their way to his lips. Those perfect, soft beautiful lips. A scene suddenly popped up in her head, and she blushed suddenly. Did he really? She was still engrossed in tracing the outline of his lips, when her eyes moved towards his shirt. "Oh, your shirt buttons are undone. Let me help you..." That was what Diane intended to do, to be a loving wife buttoning up her husband's shirt. But how did her fingers end up circling his abs instead?! Her fingers slowly sunk downwards and downwards until. "What on earth do you think you are doing?" A male voice asked, as Diego's eyelids sprang open. "Are you trying to stimulate me?" He asked again a little smirk on his face. "W-Who is trying to stimulate whom?!" Diane asked nervously as she struggled against him, her face a bright red, but Diego ignored her and gripped her even tighter. "Diego! Let me go!" Diane exclaimed, her face turning redder and redder each mili second. "Weren't you? Because from the looks of it, your hands were heading towards.." "Shut up already!" Diane screamed, as she used both of her hands to clamp Diego's mouth shut, denying him the privilege to speak any further. "You have a lot of paper work to do don't you? So you better hurry up and.." "Right. Today is a free day for me." Diego said, as he finally released her. "Only once in a lifetime I get such a golden opportunity." He said, as he rose from the bed, stretching and yawning. "You have been awake all this time, haven't you?" Diane asked him as she sat up, a little frown on her face. "What do you think?" Diego asked her with a smirk. "Shameless!" Diane vociferated, throwing a pillow at Diego, he dodged it effortlessly, while laughing. "Come to think about it, since neither of us has washed up yet, would you like to.." Diane sprang up from the bed before Diego could finish talking and ran towards the bathroom door. "You shameless bastard! I haven't forgiven you yet, you know?!" She said, as she exited the bedroom, slamming it shut with a bang.
Well, the rest of the day was quite, unusual. Diane and Dorothy were walking down the hall ways, having just exited Morris's room. "Dorothy." Diane said. "He is still following us, my lady." Diane heaved a sigh. Was this man really that Jobless that he could do nothing except to follow her all day! The worst part of it all was, he could have very well concealed his presence with magic, so why did he have to make it to be so damn awkward. Did he perhaps have something to inform her? If he did, he should just say it and get it done and over with. "Dorothy, I want to be left slone.," Diane informed her personal maid. "Of course, my lady." Dorothy said as she left Diane alone I the hallways. Diane then went into the garden and sat on the bench. "I am alone, you know." Diane said without looking up. "So feel free to perform the necessary." No sooner had she said that, than Diego ended up sitting next to her on the bench. "Why were you watching me from afar?" She asked him. "Because I wanted to." Diego simply answered. "Is that really the case? Or was it that you felt so bored that you were retracing the footsteps that I made?" She asked him, her eyes serious. Diego was slightly startled at first, but then he Smiled nervously. "I was just looking out for you, Diane." He replied. "But the guards are more than capable of that, are they not?" She asked him. "They are not all the same Diane. They all have different levels. If the main guards are not capable of handling it then.. "Then what?! Would I end up dead?!' Diisne exclaimed suddenly. "Diane." Diego called, his voice serious and his face stern. "Don't say such things." ,"Ha, and why not?" Diane scoffed. "You have so many enemies, and you don't even tell me about them. You never tell me anything about yourself. You neither see me as a wife, nor as a friend. But I have told you a little about my childhood, my father, my brothers.." She said, tears streaming down her eyes. " Do you really think that is fair to me?" She asked him, her eyes angry. Diego suddenly felt guilty. "Diane.." "Don't you dare call my name!" Diane snapped. "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!" She was banging her small fists into his chest this time, while Diego looked on helplessly. "I know it's just a contract marraige, but what is the point of being in a relationship, fake or not, if there is no trust?!" She stopped hitting his chest this time, but simply rested her head there, sobbing uncontrollably. "Diane" Diego called her name softly, quietly, as he heard her shoulders. "Go to sleep." She heard that quiet whisper in her ears.
Diego walked down the hall ways, holding a woman in his arms, who was still sobbing in her sleep. As he got to the room, he laid her down on the bed, and brushed away the hair that was covering her eyes. "I hate you!" Mere remembering the scene, made Diego's heart wrench. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. Wait, why was he acting this way? It is just a contractual marraige after all, six months and she would be out of his life. He may never even see her again. So why? He had the impulse to break everything around him. "You are really not good at pacifying people."
