Diego hurriedly sped down the hallways, gripping Diane tightly on his back and holding Leonia's hand with the other. The medallions began to react again until... "Diego!" Theodore called out, waving his sword. Diego was a little relieved. They looked fine. "Diego, Diane is she.." Natasha began. "She is fine." Diego said. "Just took a blow to the head, and lost a lot of blood, that's all." He said, as he placed Diane gently in Theodore's arms. "Theo, take Diane now and get out of here with Morris and the maid." Diego said sternly. "Leonia, go with him." "But.." Theodore began. "No buts." Diego cut him off. "Just do as I tell you to. Diane and the children are the most vulnerable ones here, and I can't afford to lose any of them." He said. "Make sure you call the family therapist when you get home." Natasha said as Theodore began to depart. "A head Injury is no joke. Let him check up on her." Natasha said. Leonia looked worried, as she hesitatingly left, but Diego gave her a stern look. "I will be fine." He mouthed off those words, and Leonia gave him a small nod. Only Diego and Natasha were left in the silence.
"How could her brother do such a thing?" Natasha exclaimed, with clenched fists. "That is exactly what I want to know as well." Diego said with a sigh. "More importantly, I noticed that the flow of magic is very weak here." Diego said, as he glanced at his palm. " Do you think an artifact could be causing this?" Natasha asked him. "Most likely so, I have never seen such a weak flow of magic before." Diego said. "If not, maybe Diane would have awakened her powers sooner." "And there would be yet another hierarchy added to the magical community. And maybe an even bigger controversy." Natasha said, as she rubbed her temples. "Tsk." Natsaha clicked her tongue. "When will that bastard show up?"She said, a little annoyed. Diego momentarily closed his eyes, then open them again, a slight silver glow emanating from them. "Maybe, right about now."
"You incompetent fools! You couldn't do anything! You let them all get away!" Dennis was yelling his head off in one of the corridors. "We are sorry boss." One of the men said. "Sorry for yourselves!" He yelled again. "But their swordsmanship was unparalleled, we couldn't possibly.. they were on a whole another level!" One of his men protested. "Be quiet!" He yelled again. "I was so close, so very close, and you incompetent bastards just had to ruin everything!" He yelled again. Click, click. Dennis furrowed his brows. Someone was coming down the hallways. Click, click. It sounded like heels. He was quite sure that he told Beatice and Sylvester to stay put. "Now, now, why are you yelling at your men like that? You are instilling the element of fear in them." A female, yet somewhat seductive voice said. "Just who?" Dennis asked, wondering who it was, since the shadows in the hallway was clouding her face and figure. ,Natasha laughed seductively. "You know, you really shouldn't have kidnapped such a small child. Come on, let's Dialogue. You want to know who I am right?" She asked as she stepped out from the shadows. Light blue hair. Green eyes. Most men would have found her figure quite alluring, but maybe except Dennis. "Nice to meet you, young master." She said, stretching out her hand for a handshake. "I am the aunt of the child you kidnapped." She said with a smile. Dennis was shocked. It took him sometime to process things. "Oh, you are just going to leave me Hanging? That's not very nice." Natasha said, as she retrieved her hand, and flicked her light blue hair. Dennis subconsciously let out a gasp. Wait a second, blue hair? That must mean.. "Y-you are" He began, but was cut off by another voice "What the hell do you think you are doing Natasha?" A man said as he walked out of the darkness. " I told you to stay put." He said. He looked a little angry, while facing Dennis. Diego smirked. "Long time no see, lewis." He said, through gritted teeth. "You really crossed your boundaries this time." He said. "Come on Diego. I want to have some fun, too." Nataha whined like a little child, as she crossed her arms across her chest. "I see that you and Theodore do have some similarities." Diego said glancing at her from the corner of his eyes. "Don't compare me to that brat" Natasha said, punching him hard. "So it's just the two of you, huh?" Dennis asked Diego. "Did you really think I will waste time to save my wife and sister? They should be home, by now." "I really do pity the woman that came with you. Why it just the two of you? You should have brought more reinforcements." Debnis said, his grip on his sword tightening. "Natasha? You shouldn't pity her." Diego asked, as he glanced at the woman, who was busy shaking her hips from left to right at Dennis's men. "You should fear her instead." He said. "I don't understand why you hate me, but it's not enough to transfer that hatred to your sister." He said. "My sister, you say?" Dennis asked, with a crooked smile. "My sister died the day she picked you over my family. Honestly, the both of you are quite the duo. I have only heard of such things in stories, but, I never knew it was possible in real life!" Dennis said, as he swung his sword at Diego, who immediately blocked it with his own sword. "You are fast. I like it." Dennis said, as the sound of metal hitting metal reverberated across the place. "Oh my, are we fighting already?" Natasha said, as she glanced at the duo. "You men are so impatient." She said as she clicked her tongue. "Look lady," one of the men began, " we will spare your life, but only if you tell your brother.." His chest was impaled by a sword before he could get to finish talking. "You ought to know that a rose, no matter how beautiful it looks, has thorns right?" She asked the dying man. "I don't need your petty pity." She said, her face serious. "S-she killed Sayan!" One of the men exclaimed. "Get her!" "Now, this is might be quite enjoyable." Natasha muttered to herself.
"You are quite skilled with the sword. " Diego said, as he blocked Dennis's attacks continously. "Maybe I should get Diane to spar with me, sometime." "Shut up!" Dennis said, as started panting. His clothes were already drenched, and his opponent had not do much as broken into a sweat. ",How could he remain so calm and composed?" Dennis thought in his mind, as he continued to huff. "I have just one question though." How did you know Diane would be here? I am quite sure she didn't tell you who the culprit of this kidnapping was." He said. Diego smiled. "I contacted a sage that knew all things." Diego said. "I think his name was.. Thaniel." He said. "Do you take me for a fool?!" Dennis roared loudly. " Such a person doesn't exsist." He said, as he lunged at Diego again."now, how can you be so sure about that?" He asked again, effortlessly dodging a fatal blow. "In this world of ours, it is always a fatal mistake to jump into conclusions. You have to perform your own investigations about some certain things first. Otherwise, you will be making quite the mistake of a lifetime!" Diego said slashing his sword across Dennis's chest, making Dennis cough up a little blood. "Don't worry, you won't die." Diego said, while smiling at his opponent. "Afterall, the wound isn't deep enough." He added, a malevolent glinter in his eyes, making Dennis flinch a little. "You guys are dragging this fight out way too long. It is getting boring." A feminine voice said. Although her dress and sword were both covered in blood, a single woman was more than strong enough to subdue five grown men. "You really went overboard this time." Diego told her, as a man lying on the floor slowly crawled up to Natasha and grabbed her by the heels. "Well, you don't take me out on your 'expeditions, do you?" Natasha said, as she placed her foot, on the man's head, making him groan in pain. "You should be considering yourself lucky to be alive. You are so weak. Honestly." Natasha said to the man as she brutally kicked him away. Dennis, who was on the ground and could no longer fight, was clenching his chest and gasping for air. Now, he understood what his men meant by unparalleled swordsmanship. Those two, were simply monsters. "Let's go." Diego said, as he turned around, heading towards the exit. "I think we have wreaked more than enough havoc here. It is good enough to send a clear message." He said. "It Is unlike you to spare your opponent Diego." Natasha called from behind him. "When you look at that man, tell me what do you see? I get the fact that they are twins, but there is no need for them to bear such a striking resemblance. If feels like I am fighting her instead." Diego said. Natasha exhaled. "Well, he is Diane's brother, afterall." She said. "Is he trying to stir up a misunderstanding between you and Diane?" She asked him uncertainly. "I honestly don't know what his true intentions are." Diego said, as he glanced at Dennis, making him flinch. "Engrave this into that thick skull of yours. I only spared you because of Diane." Diego said, said he walked away, Natasha trailing behind him. "Besides, you are the one that declared yourself my enemy first." Diego's voice faded away into the distance this time.
