The next battle went as any other battle between two Shadow Demon users, as they let their Shadow Demon's do all the work.
The audience was more or less surprised by these battles as they held nothing that made them stand out from any other battle.
Then Floyd's second battle came and as expected he didn't summon his Shadow Demon to battle but instead he,himself, fought and defeated his opponent with strategical attacks and overwhelming power, so overwhelming he beat the boy's Shadow Demon to death before defeating the boy himself.
Consequently, another two people teleported into the arena and the next fight just so happened to be between Anastasia, the dragon princess, and Vincent Lee,an elven noble.
Vincent, although known throughout both the elven territory and other territories for his skyrocketing strength, was not able to beat Anastasia in battle.
Anastasia's victory further proved that a great battle between two unstoppable forces(Anastasia and Floyd) was brewing in the near future.
That would only be further solidified when Anastasia wasn't teleported out of the arena even after beating the opponent before her.
Only meaning she had two fight two battles back to back.
"Second round- fifth battle. Anastasia Emma Stratus versus Krill Nimbus."
Nimbus was another one of the royal families in the dragon's empire and is the one closest in power to the Stratus family due to the fact that Krill Nimbus is not just a dragon but also part elf.
Normally one might think this would make him weaker as he only has half of a dragon's superior blood, but when the races of two different bloodlines mix the effects of both bloodlines aren't just amplified but they're combined.
This reaction made him a lot stronger and possess more potential but even that wasn't enough to match the dragon princess as she has power and potential above Krill Nimbus's causing him to loss to her in the royal inheritance and make her the princess instead of him the prince.
A rivalry written in blood.
"Go!" Jesica's words caused a plethora of eyes to snap onto the arena grounds, mine included.
Krill and Anastasia summoned their Shadow Demon's , then Anastasia launched herself forward at Krill who stood with his blazing red Shadow Demon next to him.
Ah, I see. A Shadow Demon that affects the environment instead of a specific target, although it is rare it's still exists.
Commonly called Hazard Shadow Demons of just Hazard Demons. That must be what his is.That would be the only answer, after all why would he be backing off instead of fighting head on.
As is to confirm my thoughts the arena grounds suddenly turned a bright orange before the cracks in-between the stone plated arena launched up into the sky and a pillar of flame formed below them, holding the stone plates high in the sky.
Anastasia was just about to walk onto that exact plate before she had stopped and jumped a considerable distance back.
Krill jumped back as well as the tiles within a 30 foot range around the Shadow Demon flared up high into the sky.
Some of the tiles came back down after a few seconds only to be launched back into the sky once again.
The Hazard Demon had it's hand on the ground which is used to cause the flame pillars to rise, then it dug it's other hand into the arena ground as the flames turned into vapor which clouded the arena area, for everyone within it that is as we, the students, could still see due to the academies certain ways.

Looking down on the arena grounds Andrew Crimson, the head of the academy, watched the battle between Anastasia and Krill commence.
Behind his chair stood a woman with bright red hair which went all the way down to her waist.
Jesica, the red haired woman, had ruby red eyes that looked from behind Andrew and onto the arena ground as well,
"Those two are pretty talented aren't they."
Jesica leaned over the chair and said in Andrew's ear with a hot breath.
Andrew's body continued to disappear from the chair in an instant.
Reappearing in the stands below where the normal audience that didn't participate in the arena sat, Andrew refocused on the battle before him.
"Where did he go?"Jesica's face soured slightly at the occurrence.
Meanwhile, Anastasia wondered where Krill and his Shadow Demon were and was forced to sit still like a sitting duck as she couldn't see through all the mist.
Remembering her Shadow Demon's abilities Anastasia then ordered it to use it's ability echolocation.
The Shadow Demon let out a small scream that spread within the confinements of the entire arena and marked two people, Krill and his Shadow Demon.
Using the info provided by her Shadow Demon Anastasia headed straight towards Krill.
Stepping onto the tile floor in front of her Anastasia felt a rush of wind blow past her as she was sent flying up high into the sky and above the mist for a few seconds.
'So his fire traps are still active.' Anastasia thought
Descending back below the mist Anastasia ran forwards at top speed by sitting on her Shadow Demon who had transformed into a dog like creature with a skull face.
It's four legs moved faster than any of the traps could activate and reached the location of Krill and his Shadow Demon in no time.
Krill jumped up into the sky and barely avoided Anastasia wild Shadow Demon from running into him at top speed. Then he commanded his Shadow Demon to remove it's hands from the ground and focus it's environmental attacks on the locations of Anastasia and her Shadow Demon.
Following this call the mist dissipated and a heavy storm befell a specific area, where Anastasia and her Shadow Demon stood, about 5 meters away from Krill.
Then a thunderous lightning bolt struck the ground and inch away from Anastasia due to her moving last second.
The lightning bolt sparked a fire on the stone floor which didn't dissipate until Anastasia stepped on it and rubbed her foot on it.
"Your next."
Anastasia boldly declared as she looked at Krill.
