I felt a wash of relief as I sat down and sent my shadow demon back into my shadow.
Taking a break I decided to sit down on the ground and wait for Jesica to tell me what exactly I had to do next.
Someone suddenly sat down next to me and let out a heavy puff.
"The training was that hard on the first day." I subconsciously said aloud.
"It has to be this hard after all this is the Elite Class and it's the best academy." the student who sat next to me said.
Glancing left I saw Clair who looked as tired as I was because of the constant control training we had to do with our shadow demons.
"But even if this class is the best of the best, I still don't see why the training has to be so hard, especially after the fact that the ten talents selection was yesterday." I responded halfheartedly whilst still being a little tired.
"Aren't you ranked fourth in the ten talents so I see no reason for you to complain about how hard it is." Clair said, slightly glancing at me, whilst the teacher started walking towards us.
"Well I only got a little lucky. I would have probably ranked sixth or fifth, but I was lucky enough to fight the right people instead of some of the other students who could easily beat me." I let out a wry laugh as a small smile crept onto my face.
"Should you be telling me that. You never know since I myself am also one of the ten talents." Clair aimed her nose towards the sky as her words filled with cockiness.
"You are?" I was actually quite surprised.
"Of course I am, ranked ninth, but I'll change that soon and beat up that Floyd guy for what he did." She said with complete confidence, aspiration ,and a tinge of revenge, oozing out from her face and voice.
"Ninth. You're already behind nine other people who are also training and you hope to overtake them. You have a long way to go." I looked at her and said.
"It doesn't matter how long it takes me to get to number one, in the end I'll become number one no matter what." Her determination completely engulfed her the cockiness in her voice as her green eyes sparkled brightly in the sunlight.
"Well I hope you do." I said before I quickly turned my head away from her face and averted my gaze as the teacher approached.
"You two come here." Jesica called us over.
Both of us stood up and walked towards our teacher.
"Go to Anastasia she'll explain what's next. They were waiting for a few others so you two should be good enough." Jesica pointed behind her towards Anastasia, Floyd, Jillton, and Krill.
Walking past Jesica we went up to Anastasia and asked what exactly we are supposed to do.
"We all have to use our energy to make this stone ball levitate. Jesica said it'd take a moderate amount of control from all six of us to make it levitate slightly off the ground so she wants the ball at least a foot off the ground and wants us to keep it there for 30 seconds." As the last part of her words exited her mouth you could hear the annoyance in it.
She then pointed at the stone sphere that was just about taller than my knee.
"We haven't tried yet because we were waiting for another two but now that you two are here we can start." Anastasia said.
We all then stood around the sphere and stretched out our arms towards it as we expelled our energy into the sphere.
Then the sphere started to slowly rise up from the ground, extremely slowly.
Closing my eyes I tried to heighten my control over my energy, the other had also done the same thing and as a result the ball started to rise and rise until it suddenly glowed a bright blue and then it fell instantly.
Opening our eyes we saw the stone ball actually had small engraving on it that had the faint blue color of our energy running through them before it slowly faded.
"Those engraving you saw are forcing your energy into them and focusing it on a small circle at the bottom of the ball." Jesica suddenly appeared behind us and said.
"By making your energy focus on one point of the ball it makes it so that instead of just pouring all your energy out and expecting the ball to levitate because your energy is covering the entire bottom surface of the ball..."
"...It makes it so that you have to control your energy because it's only covering a precise point on the ball instead of the entire bottom of the ball." Jesica explained.
"By the way that's not even the first level to the ball ,so have fun." she disappeared in an instant after she left us with that taunting last bit of information.
'Classes Are Hard in the Elite Class. Why'd I sign up for this.'
Focusing all our attention back on the stone ball we once again attempted to make it levitate above one foot.
This time I put my energy into the ball but instead of last time where I might've just dumped a bunch of energy in I focused on controlling my energy and making the ball levitate higher and higher with the other five students.
The ball rose even higher but then an electrical shock ran through my body and I was forcible sent to the ground and knocked out of my completely focused state of mind.
The electrical shock hurt a lot, especially in my heart but luckily it only lasted for a moment.
Opening my eyes I saw everyone else in a similar situation I was in as the ball abruptly dropped to the ground.
"What happened this time."I asked aloud completely expecting an answer.
"Quite obvious actually. When six people all with their own energy attempt to work together but they don't have control over their energy guess what happens." Jesica said.
"The energies won't mix and work together unless all six of the parties have a little bit more than a moderate control over their energy, if even one person doesn't then it ruins it for everyone else." Jesica once again explained.
"Now try again." She said and so we did.
