Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

"Is this really the proper way to open someone's aura nodes?"

Suddenly, Uvogin felt his entire body lighten, as if the chains binding him had been unlocked. He felt completely free, as though floating in the clouds.

"Your aura nodes are now open!!"

Morin's voice echoed sharply in his ears. "Focus your mind, stop the aura from leaking, and wrap it around yourself using Ten."

Even without Morin's reminder, Uvogin had already noticed something—his body was losing aura at an alarming rate.

"No way I'm letting it just spill out like that!!!"

Grinding his teeth, Uvogin clenched his jaw tightly.

Boom!

The powerful aura pouring out created a small shockwave, stirring up dust around him.

Uvogin's body was naturally extraordinary, and his innate aura reserves were far beyond an average person's.

But what stood out most was Uvogin's unyielding willpower, perfectly matching the overwhelming energy coursing through him.

Whoosh!

Another burst of wind swept across the ground as Uvogin took a deep breath.

"It's done," Morin announced with a clap, grinning.

Hearing those words, Nobunaga finally dared to step closer.

"Uvogin, how do you feel?!"

"I feel…" Uvogin panted, looking at his hands.

He could already tell that he wasn't the same as before! This sensation of strength endlessly surging from within…

"I feel better than ever!!"

Uvogin clenched his fist tightly, a euphoric grin spreading across his face.

"Now, focus a bit of your aura into your eyes. This is Gyo, one of the basic techniques of Nen. It will let you see the flow of aura, both your own and your opponent's."

As Morin explained, Uvogin quickly followed suit.

It only took him a couple of tries before he effortlessly concentrated his aura into his eyes, mastering Gyo as if it were second nature.

"So this is aura?"

Uvogin marveled at the energy swirling around his arms and body. He rubbed his hands over himself, completely fascinated.

To him, the sheer volume of aura he now controlled felt overwhelming yet exhilarating.

"I feel like I could take on ten opponents at once!!!"

He almost shouted the words but managed to hold himself back, turning instead to Morin with a serious expression.

Grinning, he reached out with his rough, calloused hand and gave Morin a hearty slap on the shoulder.

"Thanks, Morin."

His tone was calm, but the sincerity behind his words was unmistakable.

For Uvogin, this moment had cemented Morin as one of his own.

Nearby, Machi and Nobunaga watched with subtle smiles.

Machi had no issues with Morin from the start, and Nobunaga, seeing Uvogin's acceptance, found himself approving of Morin as well.

Their tight-knit trio now had a new addition.

"No need to be so formal," Morin replied, patting Uvogin's muscular arm. "We've got plenty of time ahead of us."

"Hahaha, you're right! Plenty of time ahead!!"

As Uvogin imagined himself mastering Nen and dominating the world beyond Meteor City, he couldn't help but laugh loudly, punching the air in excitement.

He was already itching to leave and see what awaited him outside.

"You look pretty impressive already," Nobunaga remarked, observing his friend. He could clearly sense the transformation in Uvogin and his exuberance, and it made him anticipate his own turn even more.

"Alright, who's next?"

"Me," Machi said, hopping off her hammock and walking up to Morin. Her calm, golden eyes stared directly at him.

Nobunaga: "…???"

"Wait, I was supposed to go next!!"

He opened his mouth to protest but stopped himself, recalling they were in Machi's home and that Morin was here because of her.

Sighing, Nobunaga swallowed his words.

It's fine. After Machi, it'll be my turn anyway. No need to rush.

He comforted himself with this thought.

"Ready?" Morin asked, smiling. "I'll send my aura into your body now…"

…Wait. Why did saying that to Machi feel so awkward?

Shaking off the strange feeling, Morin refocused.

"Alright, here it comes. I'm about to open your aura nodes…"

…Yeah, that still sounded weird.

Uvogin had been the first person Morin ever helped unlock their aura nodes. This was his second time, but now he was more experienced.

Thanks to Morin's refined control, Machi experienced the same euphoric sensation Uvogin had felt—the exhilarating, nearly airborne feeling of freedom.

"Is this really how you open someone's aura nodes? It feels a bit… improper," she commented, her tone calm but teasing.

"So this is aura? How fascinating," Machi said, swiftly adapting to the techniques.

With Uvogin's earlier demonstration as a reference, she quickly learned Gyo and began observing the aura flows within her body.

Though her physical condition wasn't yet ideal for advanced Nen training, the results so far were undeniably promising.

As Machi practiced manipulating her aura, she and Uvogin started experimenting with it, using Gyo to view their flows. To Nobunaga, it looked like they were playing with invisible air, and it was driving him mad with envy.

"Don't forget about me," he muttered weakly, trying to remind Morin of his presence.
