Chapter 14 - Chapter 13 (Bonus)

"Nen is the ability to freely manipulate and utilize your aura, crafting a personalized, ultimate technique unique to each individual."

Morin coughed lightly before continuing, "The specifics of setting up conditions and restrictions will come later—once you've fully mastered Nen."

"As for how to train, the most important thing is to practice Ten regularly.

"I've mentioned this before: Ten is the art of concentrating your mind. The more you practice Ten, the more you can increase your aura reserves. The greater your aura, the stronger your Nen becomes.

"This applies universally to all categories of Nen users."

He added, "But for certain categories like Enhancement and Transmutation, additional specialized training is required to refine both aura and Nen."

Morin extended a single finger.

Uvogin, Machi, and Nobunaga all tilted their heads in confusion.

"Use Gyo! " Morin said, exasperated. "From now on, whether you're traveling or fighting, always remember to use Gyo. Otherwise, if someone sets a trap with their aura, you won't even notice."

The trio finally understood and quickly activated Gyo.

"I see it!" Machi was the first to notice, pointing out a number "1" formed from aura on Morin's fingertip.

"This method was developed by an old-timer from the Hunter Association's Hinyou School, specifically for training Transmuters to refine their aura," Morin explained.

Meanwhile, far away at some ruins, a blonde girl sneezed loudly while digging for gems.

"Are you okay, Biscuit?" her companion asked with concern.

"It's nothing." The petite blonde, hiding her true form, rubbed her nose and muttered, "Probably someone talking about me behind my back. If I find out who it is, they'll regret it!"

Back at Machi's house:

"You need to form numbers from 1 to 9 within one minute using aura. The ultimate goal is to accomplish this in under five seconds," Morin instructed Machi. "This is one of the training methods for Transmuters."

"Numbers, huh…" Machi murmured, already beginning to practice.

"And for Enhancers?"

Morin turned to the expectant Uvogin and Nobunaga. "It's simple—break rocks."

"Break rocks?"

"Exactly. Smash 1,000 rocks in one day using a single stone as your tool."

"One thousand, huh?"

Uvogin and Nobunaga exchanged thoughtful glances. "It's doable if we put in the effort."

"When breaking rocks, you'll need to coat the stone you're using with Nen, right?"

"Of course. Otherwise, your own stone will shatter before you even reach a thousand."

"Breaking rocks with Nen… haha, perfect. Meteor City has no shortage of rocks!"

"Let's go find some rocks!"

After a quick discussion, Uvogin and Nobunaga left to gather stones and train diligently.

"This method worked for Biscuit when training Gon and Killua; it should work for Uvogin and Machi, too," Morin thought.

After all, Uvogin and Machi both had above-average talent.

Nobunaga called back as they left, "See you later, Morin!"

Uvogin added, laughing, "We'll stop by tonight!"

Nobunaga chimed in, "Don't forget to cook for us!"

Uvogin grinned, "Yeah, and make it a bigger roast this time!"

Morin sighed, shaking his head as he watched the pair leave. "Are they treating me as their personal meal ticket?"

Still, he couldn't help but smile. At least in Meteor City, he'd finally found a place to belong, friends to rely on, and a small group to share his days with.

"Alright, I should get back to training."

Glancing at Machi, who was focused on her aura practice, Morin sat down on his old wooden bed to start meditating on Ten.

Creak!

The bed groaned in protest before collapsing under him with a resounding crash.

"Those two owe me a new bed!" Morin muttered darkly. Without a place to sleep, his night was officially ruined.

The commotion caught Machi's attention. She glanced over, her lips curling into a faint smile.

Life, it seemed, was becoming increasingly lively.

By nightfall, Uvogin and Nobunaga showed up right on time, as if they weren't guests but permanent residents.

They devoured the food Morin conjured from his gourmet tablecloth, shamelessly promising to help him build a new bed.

When their bellies were full, they returned with their "replacement bed."

It turned out to be a tattered straw mat, even worse than Morin's broken wooden bed. He stared at it in silent disbelief.

"How was your training today?" Morin decided to ignore the bed and change the topic.

"It was fine," Uvogin mumbled through a mouthful of food.

Nobunaga, however, exposed him without hesitation: "This guy wasn't interested in training at all. He just wanted to find someone to fight."

Uvogin chuckled sheepishly, saying nothing more.

"And? What happened?" Machi asked, her eating pace calm yet efficient.

"I stopped him, of course," Nobunaga grumbled. "Then he insisted on sparring with me instead."

Uvogin and Nobunaga were natural partners, perfectly matched in strength and temperament. Both being Enhancers, they were ideal sparring partners for each other.

High on the thrill of their newly unlocked Nen abilities, the duo had spent most of the day battling for fun.

But they hadn't completely neglected Morin's training methods—they made time to collect stones from around Meteor City, though their efforts had locals mocking them for scavenging junk.

After dinner, the pair promised to return the next day before leaving, arms slung over each other's shoulders.

It was clear they had firmly adopted Morin and Machi's place as their new hangout spot.

"These two…"

Morin shook his head, chuckling.

The food, after all, was conjured freely from his gourmet tablecloth, costing him only a bit of aura and Nen. And with both Uvogin and Nobunaga actively training their Nen, the hearty meals were helping them grow stronger.

In a way, their lack of courtesy only proved how much they trusted him. Morin didn't mind—he was glad to see them getting stronger.
