Machi also used the Can Studio for training, though her approach wasn't as intense as Morin's. Every so often, she would step outside, either to check on Uvogin and Nobunaga or to simply breathe some fresh air. She only returned to the studio punctually during mealtimes.
Morin, however, had thrown himself into training with near-obsessive focus.
With the studio's time dilation, he spent every waking moment training inside. Even basic needs like eating and sleeping were handled within the studio, leaving almost no wasted time.
In these past three days—amounting to 66 hours of outside time—Morin had effectively trained for 66 days inside the studio.
Driven by his knowledge of nen techniques from the Hunter x Hunter world, Morin pushed himself relentlessly, immersing himself in training and fully committing to his development.
The results were undeniable. He could clearly feel his growing strength and his aura capacity expanding at an extraordinary pace.
Since arriving in this world, Morin's body had reverted to his teenage state. It also seemed as if his natural talent had received a substantial boost.
"These past two months have been insane. My growth rate has skyrocketed," he thought.
"At this point, maybe my talent even edges out Gon's and Killua's?"
Such thoughts occasionally crossed his mind during training.
When his 66 days of studio time came to an end, Morin found that his nen had grown significantly.
"At the very least, I'm strong enough to navigate the outside world now. As long as I avoid provoking powerful individuals, I should be fine," he mused.
Rolling his shoulders, Morin compared himself to Gon's training at Sky Arena.
"If I measure myself against Gon when he fought Hisoka, my current strength surpasses his back then. That's solid progress."
He continued, recalling Gon's timeline.
"They fought in July, right? Gon only started learning nen in March, so he trained for four months. Meanwhile, I've surpassed him in just over two months of self-taught training without a mentor like Wing. It's a good start."
"Still," Morin reflected, "I could progress even faster with proper guidance—either a skilled teacher or a specialized tool related to nen training."
These thoughts crystallized his next steps.
"You've grown taller," Machi observed, scanning Morin from head to toe.
Two months of intense training had clearly stimulated his physical development.
"You're not one to talk," Morin thought to himself.
He remembered that when the Phantom Troupe was founded, Machi was only around 11 or 12 years old. Yet her height already rivaled that of a high school student.
Her rapid growth was impressive, though Morin couldn't resist a fleeting, discreet glance at her chest.
"Still… certain areas have yet to catch up," he mused, keeping the thought to himself.
Machi didn't notice his momentary distraction. Her expression turned serious as she spoke.
"It's Uvogin and Nobunaga. Something happened to them."
Her blunt words immediately caught Morin's attention.
"Uvogin got into a conflict with one of the elders' subordinates a couple of days ago. As a result, both he and Nobunaga, who tried to help him, were detained," Machi explained.
"I only just found out about this and came to tell you."
"That sounds bad," Morin replied. "But it doesn't seem like the situation is that dire, right?"
After all, if it were critical, she wouldn't have started the conversation by commenting on his height.
Machi nodded. "Chrollo told me about it. He mentioned that he has some connections with the elder who detained them and might be able to mediate."
"Connections, huh?"
Morin inwardly scoffed at the notion.
"Even if he does have 'connections,' the elder is a major figure in Meteor City, wielding significant authority. And Chrollo… well, he's only 13 right now, isn't he?"
Morin paused, realizing his own predicament.
"Wait… I'm 13 now, too, at least physically."
His thoughts drifted to Gon and Killua.
"They're only 12, but their strength and talent earned them the respect of much older and more experienced individuals. This world really is all about strength."
"Of course, it doesn't hurt that those two look pretty likable. Not that I'm lacking in the looks department myself," Morin smirked internally.
Out loud, he asked, "Did Chrollo mention any specific plans or ask us to do anything?"
"No," Machi replied, shaking her head slightly. "He just told us to gather in the buffer zone near the outskirts. Once he's finished negotiating with the elder, he'll update us."
"Just the two of us?" Morin inquired.
"No," Machi clarified. "Pakunoda and Franklin will be there too. They're familiar faces in Meteor City. Once we arrive, I'll introduce you properly."
With that, she turned to leave.
"Pakunoda? Franklin?" Morin thought.
Those names certainly rang a bell.
As he watched Machi's retreating figure, Morin shrugged.
"Funny… I probably know more about those future Phantom Troupe members than you do," he mused.
Together, they left the dilapidated house, heading toward what was likely their first step into the larger world of nen users and Meteor City's web of intrigue.
