Uvogin grinned and gave Morin a big thumbs-up as the latter collected the tablecloths.

"I like you."

Nobunaga rolled his eyes. "I think you like pigs more."

"Hahaha, same thing!" Uvogin laughed. His strong digestion was already at work; moments ago, he was stuffed, but now he could stand upright without issue.

"Anyway, I consider you a friend now!" Uvogin declared, glancing at the matching dish left behind by the roast suckling pigs, the same kind Nobunaga had noticed earlier.

With a hearty laugh, he added, "I see why Machi kept you around. If it were me, I'd do the same."

Uvogin's expression grew a bit more serious.

"Can I ask… how did you make those pigs appear?"

Hearing this, Nobunaga, reclining on his chair, perked up.

"I'm a straightforward guy; if I don't understand something, I ask."

Uvogin grinned. "Of course, if it's inconvenient for you to explain, that's fine too."

"There's nothing inconvenient about it," Morin replied with a smile, recognizing Uvogin's sincerity.

Uvogin's straightforwardness was reserved for those he considered friends, and Morin had earned that status in Uvogin's eyes.

A meal of roast suckling pigs had won him Uvogin's friendship and trust—a trade Morin felt was well worth it.

"My ability comes from Nen."

Nen?

Machi's expression shifted slightly; this was the second time she'd heard Morin mention it.

Uvogin and Nobunaga exchanged confused glances.

"I've heard that term somewhere before," Uvogin muttered, arms crossed and brow furrowed.

Nobunaga thought for a moment before snapping his fingers.

"Oh, I remember! Chrollo mentioned it!"

"Chrollo?" Uvogin echoed, realization dawning.

"Right, a few days ago, he said he got intel from the Elders, and one of the things he mentioned was this Nen."

Chrollo… the Elders' intel?

Morin thought about this. It had to be Chrollo Lucilfer, the future leader of the Phantom Troupe.

Machi also seemed to recognize the name, her expression softening.

Uvogin's curiosity grew as he turned his eager gaze to Morin.

"So you know Nen too, huh? I heard it's a power even the elders keep under wraps. Can you teach it to us?"Uvogin's eyes burned with excitement. "Can you teach it to us?"

"Whoa, hold on!" Nobunaga scolded. "That's way too sudden, Uvogin!"

But his eyes betrayed his curiosity, darting toward Morin every so often.

As for Machi, there was no need to guess—Morin had already been about to teach her Nen before Uvogin and Nobunaga interrupted.

"Sure," Morin replied with a smile.

Teaching Nen to Machi had been his original plan. What were two more students?

Besides, both Uvogin and Nobunaga would eventually master Nen in the future. Establishing a good relationship with them now was all upsides.

Helping them understand Nen would also create a small, reliable group within Meteor City. If trouble arose, they could band together, enhancing both safety and survival.

To Uvogin and Nobunaga, however, this was monumental.

Morin was willing to teach them a power the Elders guarded so jealously?!

Nobunaga froze in disbelief, while Uvogin burst into hearty laughter.

"I knew you were my kind of guy, Morin! From now on, anyone who messes with you is messing with me, and I'll fight them to the death!"

Though he said this with a laugh, the look in Uvogin's eyes made it clear he wasn't joking.

Morin, sensing his sincerity, imagined that if he had a system, Uvogin's favorability would be shooting through the roof.

"Come, take a seat," Uvogin said enthusiastically, pushing a chair toward Morin.

Nobunaga dusted it off with his sleeve. "Sit, Morin!"

"Now?" Morin joked, "Aren't you guys heading to the dumping grounds? Isn't today garbage truck day? How about we do this tomorrow?"

"No way!"

Uvogin and Nobunaga shouted in unison.

"Today works for me," Machi added, joining in.

"Alright, alright," Morin said, clearing his throat.

Uvogin and Nobunaga quickly sat on a wooden bed, eager students ready for their first lesson.

With their combined weight, the bed creaked ominously.

Machi settled into her hammock, equally ready to learn.

"First, to learn Nen, you start with the basics."

With everyone settled, the lesson began.

"Nen," Morin explained, "is the ability to manipulate life energy. This energy, also called aura, can be used for offense or defense."

To demonstrate, he picked up the sheath of Nobunaga's sword from the ground.

"No matter how dull or fragile an object is, when imbued with Nen, it becomes sharper than a blade or harder than a hammer."

Morin focused his aura on the sheath, lightly tapping it against the ground.

Boom!

The floor cracked, leaving a deep indentation.

Machi, Uvogin, and Nobunaga stared in disbelief.

"This," Morin said, "is the power of Nen."

Uvogin and Nobunaga exchanged glances, their eyes burning with determination.

Machi glanced at the damage and sighed. Well, she decided, she'd let Morin off the hook for the repair costs since he was teaching her.

"Mastering Nen involves training in its four major principles: Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu," Morin continued.

"These principles form the foundation for all Nen techniques."
