Chapter 11 - Chapter Eleven

The front door opening and closing made me look up from what I was doing. Ace didn't look worried and I knew that meant that his brother was home.

"Ace," a deep voice called out and that made me shiver. If I thought Ace's voice was deep then I was wrong, his brother's was deeper.

Ace looked at me, his eyebrows furrowed. I shook my head to tell him I was fine.

"Kitchen," he answered and footsteps followed.

His brother stopped at the doorway of the kitchen when his eyes landed on me. Looking at both guys, you'd know they were related. Same sharp blue eyes and black hair, dripping hot specimen of humans, but unlike Ace, he was wearing a short sleeved shirt and I could see the tattoos on his arms.

Wow.

"You must be Olivia," he walked towards me, stretching his hand out.

"Yeah," I shook his hand.

"Alessandro, but call me Alex. Nice to meet you, Ace has told me a lot about you," he retracted his hand.

I looked at Ace and he was looking right back at me, his mouth in a thin line, blue eyes sparkling under the light.

Alex patted his brother on his shoulder, "I'll be up if you need me." He disappeared out of the kitchen.

"So you tell your brother about me?" I was shocked at that revelation.

Ace shook his head, "ignore my brother he doesn't know what he's saying."

He took the book I was writing on earlier, his eyes scanning what I had just done. From his facial expression, I knew that I had done well.

"Nice work. We'll continue from here tomorrow." He gave me my book and I packed my stuff up.

He walked me to the front door. I turned to look at him and realized he was standing so close to me now.

"Thanks for doing this," I said honestly and he nodded. "Uhh, I'm throwing a party next week Friday, Halloween party, do you wanna come?"

I wasn't thinking of inviting him before but thinking about it, it wouldn't be bad if he came, after all it was open to everyone, even the nerds and weirdoes like him but I knew if I didn't personally invite him, he wouldn't think of going.

"No, I'll pass." He opened the door for me, ushering me out.

"Just think about it," I stepped out, he stepped out after me, closing the door behind him.

"You don't want me at your party," he gave me a look as if I'd just grown another head.

"If I didn't want you there do you think I'd invite you in the first place?"

"Alright, I'll think about it." He tucked his hand into his pockets, "now go."

I placed my hand on my chest feigning hurt at his words. "You wound me Ace," I put my bag in its place.

He chuckled and that caused his dimples to show.

I smiled wider and climbed on my bike. After clipping on my helmet, I started the engine and revved it. "See you tomorrow Ace,"

He replied with a nod and I drove out of there. When I got home, I found Callum at my front porch a scowl on his face.

"Where were you?" He sounded pissed.

"Out, why are you standing there? You could have gone in to wait for me," I had forgotten that he was supposed to come over and we were to watch movies together, his idea not mine.

He rolled his eyes, "out where?"

"Since when did you become my mother?" His question irked me.

"I just-" he stopped.

"Last I checked, you weren't my parents or my boyfriend so it's really none of your business." I unlocked the door.

"Right, I'm sorry. I just wanted to hang out and it's unlike you to be late," he gave me an apologetic look.

"It's fine, come in." I walked in and he walked in after me, locking the door behind him.

He hugged me from behind, wrapping his arms around my waist. "I missed you," he whispered into the crook of my neck.

I dropped my hand on his, "Cal come on." I tried to pry his hands away.

"What?" His hands travelled lower.

"Stop," I told him, trying to stop his hand from moving.

"Do you really want me to stop? If you want me to stop, say it and I will," his hand were now on the band of my jeans.

"Cal," I said softly, "stop."

He stopped, retracting his hand and standing up straighter.

"Thank you," I said and went up to my room, he didn't follow me.

I quickly changed into shorts and a crop top before going back downstairs. Cal was already in the kitchen, putting a bowl of popcorn in the microwave.

His eyes ran up and down my body taking me in. "Really Liv? Why are you doing this to me?"

I walked in front of him making sure my ass was close to his crotch. He sucked in a breath at that and I held in my laugh.

"Doing what?" I feigned ignorance, opened the fridge and bent forward as if to get something.

I knew his eyes were on my ass making a smile crawl up my face. I stood up straighter and took out a bottle of water, closing the fridge and looking at Cal.

I could feel his eyes now resting on my chest, I deliberately didn't wear a bra for this.

"Liv if you continue like this I'm going to have to take you in here right now," his eyes darkened.

I smirked, taking a sip of my water. "Where?" I was playing a dangerous game but it was fun to taunt Cal.

"Right here," he walked closer, his hand resting on the island counter.

I dropped my water on the counter, "here?" I walked closer to him.

"Here," he was now in front of me.

"Nah I don't think so," I was about to walk around him when he held me back by my waist and before I could cry out, he threw me on the counter, parting my legs and standing in between them.

"Where do you think you're going?" He looked at my lips and back up at my eyes.

I laughed, "away," I tried to push at him to get down, key word tried, but he held me back with a laugh.

"You're not going anywhere," he attacked me with tickles.

I was laughing so hard now while begging him to stop. Maybe I shouldn't have played with him that way, he was evil when he wanted payback.

"Okay fine I'll stay," I gave in and the torture stopped.

Before I could get another word out his moth was on mine and his hands were all over my body. I kissed him back with the same passion, tangling my hand in his hair.

He took off my shirt and for a second his eyes remained on my breast. He cupped my left breast in his hand and I sucked in a breath, the warmth of his hand travelling throughout my body.

I slid off his shirt and ran my hand over his chest. He placed his hand on my thigh and pulled me closer to him, he tugged on the band of my shorts and just as he was about to take them off, the microwave dinged and he stopped.

He was about to continue what he was doing but my phone rang from the other end of the counter where I had dropped it earlier.

"Seriously?" Cal complained, waving his hand in the air.

I looked at the phone and for a second I wanted to ignore it and let it ring but I changed my mind. I wanted to hop off the counter but Cal held me back, his hand firm on my thigh.

"Cal, it might be important," I told him.

"You'll call whoever it is back," he started kissing my neck.

"Cal," I moaned.

My phone stopped ringing and I was about to give in again but the ringing started again.

I pushed Cal, "I have to take the call."

He groaned but let me get off the counter. I gave him a thank you smile to which he rolled his eyes.

Eli was calling so I quickly slipped on my shirt and went out to my front porch. I didn't want Cal to hear my own side of the conversation, I didn't want to explain myself to him.

"Hey Eli, it's been a while," I said in greeting.

"Yeah. You have a race tonight," he went straight to the point.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking," I rolled my eyes. "And why are you just telling me?" He knew I didn't like being informed of such on short notice.

"Sorry, this person just came out and said he wanted to race you. When I told him you were unavailable for tonight but you'll race tomorrow he insisted on tonight and it must be you." He explained.

I was confused, "and who is this person?"

"Anonymous he calls himself. I didn't even get to see his face because he had a hood on covering more than half of his face. Apparently he's new to the tracks, no one has heard of him." His words only got me ten times confused.

"Don't you find it a bit strange? Some guy from somewhere just shows up and insists on racing me tonight. I smell creepy."

"Me too, you just have to be careful out there tonight. I'll send Nick to pick you up tonight," he sounded worried.

"That's not necessary, I can get there myself." I objected.

"I know Liv but I find this a little bit strange and your safety matters so no objections, Nick is coming to pick you tonight, be ready by eleven." He didn't leave any room for arguments.

"Fine, see you then," I hung up.

I was pouting when I walked back into the house and plopped myself on the couch. Cal looked at me with concern written on his face.

I played the movie he had set up before he could say anything. He kept shut after that.

After two movies I was hungry so Cal helped me fix dinner, though it took longer than expected because we got a little preoccupied but we finally had it ready.

After eating, we went up to my room and continued watching our movies there and we both slept off.

I woke up to my phone buzzing on my night stand. I quickly silenced it so I wouldn't wake Cal up. I answered the call and stood up from my bed, careful not to wake Cal.

"I'm outside," Nick said.

I groaned, "give me five minutes." I hung up.

I had totally forgotten about the race which was why I didn't set an alarm earlier. I quickly changed into my signature black on black, ran my hand through my tangled hair, rinsed my mouth with mouth wash and slung my backpack over my shoulder before heading downstairs.

I locked the door behind me and entered Eli's car. "Sorry, I overslept." I put on my seatbelt.

"No problem," he started the car and drove off.

This was the first time I was going to the tracks in a car so it felt a little strange. But the time we got to the tracks, it was almost time for me to race.

Eli helped me with my gloves and walked me to the cars.

"Where is this Anonymous guy?" I asked Eli.

"In his car," he nodded to the silver BMW beside my Lambo.

I couldn't see inside the car because the glasses were heavily tinted. I was having some odd feeling about this.

"How much did he bet?" I never asked the price but today I wanted to know.

"Five grand. He really means business and you have to beat him Liv," he massaged my shoulders.

Fifty grand was a lot of money so for someone to bet that much, they really meant business.

Theo came out and stood in front of both cars. Anonymous came down from his car and kissed the girl closest to him before stepping back in, not even looking my way. Even if he did, I'd never know. His hood was covering more than half of his face, leaving only half of his nose and lips in view.

I quickly kissed Eli before stepping into my car. I was never nervous for a race but today I was. This Anonymous guy was giving me the wrong vibes.

I started the car and waited for Theo to start counting.

He rose a finger and Anonymous and I revved our engines once. He rose another finger and once again we revved our engines but twice.

I looked to my opponents' car, oh how I wish I could see his face.

Theo raised the third finger and we revved our engines three times. Theo finally wove the flag and as I hit the gas I could hear my heart beating in my chest.

At first I was ahead of him but close to the end of the first lap he came up beside me. When we got to the corner, I did a perfect drift and went ahead of him.

Looking at my rearview mirror he was a bit behind me. I didn't let that calm me, this guy was giving me a run for my money and I was not letting him have it.

As we got closer to the end of the first lap he was almost beside me. I swerved to the right to block him but he went to the left almost over taking me so I quickly swerved to the left and he slowed down a bit, leaving a little space between us.

As we finished the first lap, I hit the gas going at one fifty, last time I went this high was with Red and I normally didn't need to go this high because all my opponents are always lousy and slow.

Anonymous matched up with me and I went a little higher, he did the same. We went on like that till I was at one ninety.

When we got closer to the bend I slowed down a bit so I could get the perfect drift but Anonymous didn't slow down which sent him to lose a little control giving me the opportunity to go ahead of him.

As we drew closer to the finish line Anonymous drew closer to me. I was at one ninety again and I swear my heart was about to leap from my chest.

As we crossed the finish line I held in a breath and slowed down. I had no idea who won.
