Chereads / Summer nightmare / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

- Did you have to bring yourself to such a state?

Solbin was leading her drunken friend across the beach, having a blast, when she once again bent in half and started singing to the moon. She'd had so many coconut drinks in an hour that it was only a matter of time before she was beheaded.

The girl knew no moderation when alcohol was at her fingertips. She never said "stop" to herself, even if she drank the beverage by force.

Every party was like that.

For the moment, she was fed up with her falsetto voice, with which she ruined Twice's latest song "Dance the night away."

- Shut up," burbled the blonde as a group of foreigners walked past them, clearly having a laugh.

- Don't act like an old bitch. - Ara put her finger to her friend's lips. - You need to find a man because by not having sex you are becoming grumpy, like an old woman with cats.

Not a day went by that she didn't remind her of that.

- I'm living well. I'm not complaining," she said. - Solbin purposely jerked her around as they sat down at the nearest table. - I endured the punishment for befriending a savage.

The party was going on at its best. Everyone around was having a great time, it seemed that only Solbin had to look after the drinker.

The girl rested her cheek on her hand, looking at the wedding cake on the side of the beach, where people in love could have a fake wedding, which was performed by a Thai shaman. The blonde even wondered if it was legal, but apparently anything was possible on the Thai islands, and brave people tried every folly.

Ara muttered something under her breath, it was difficult to hear what she was saying, but it was possible to catch individual words and most of them referred to guys and alcohol.

- How can you bring yourself to such a state? You're a human being, not a cow, to consume such quantities, silly girl," she muttered under her breath, watching her semi-conscious friend spread out in a chair and mewling, intending to go to sleep. - And what am I supposed to do with you now? You can't get away on your own two feet, how am I supposed to walk you to your room?

She was heartbroken. She would rather not sit in a chair for the rest of the night to watch over Ara. Besides, she wouldn't be able to do it, as she would eventually fall asleep next to her.

- Now I understand why you returned to your friend so quickly.

She lifted her face and looked at the boy standing over her with surprised eyes.

- Oh. - That was all she was able to get out of herself. She had run away from him because he had intimidated her, and now he was standing next to her and charming her again with that sweet smile of his.

She was dumbfounded because when she bumped into him at the ocean's edge, she noticed that he felt like talking to her longer, and she curled her tail and ran away.

- It seems that your friend drank more than she should have, although I don't blame her at all because the drinks on this island are addictive.

He's a very nice guy, so why was Solbin so afraid to make his acquaintance? Was it because she was pale in relationships with men? She had quite a few colleagues and never felt uncomfortable being with them, so why was it different with this stranger?

A man like a man, she shouldn't be ashamed of him. After all, everyone she knew thought she was lonely because she was afraid of getting close. She didn't have a problem with it, and it was just hard for people to understand that she wasn't looking for anyone by force, she was just waiting for the right moment.

Her friend believed that everyone's life is written in the stars, and she would eventually bump into someone who would turn out to be her destiny.

Solbin did not believe in this nonsense, yet everyone thought differently.

- She knows no moderation. She drinks everything she has at hand. I have trouble with her alone.

- I understand you perfectly. My friend is the crazy type. I think all the girls in Asia already know him. He is twenty-six years old and has the wits of a teenager.

- A seducer?

The brunet squirmed at these words.

- I would call him worse, but let's stay with seducer. - He extended his hand to her, which she shook. - I am Jungkook. It will be nice to talk to a person of Korean nationality because I already have a friend up to my nose.

- Vice Versa," she replied, finally forcing herself to smile to overcome her shyness towards him. - Solbin.

Fireworks exploded over the ocean. It was the middle of the night, and the music was playing louder and louder.

- I bet you have no intention of sitting here all night and would prefer to move your friend to a safe place?

The blonde nodded.

- I'd like to do that, but she's in such a state that it's not going to happen.

- Let me help you.

Solbin shook her head.

- I would rather not take care of you. I just learned your name, it's not right.

- I am keen to know more about you than just knowing your name. Let me help you.

He was brave. Very much so. Not everyone could admit so openly that they were interested during their first meeting.

It was quite sweet.

- Since this is no problem for you....

The blonde smiled at him, being grateful that she didn't have to spend the whole night here.

- Thank you," she finally confessed as he took Ara on his back, and they walked toward the hotel.

He looked at her sullenly, looking uncertain. He wanted to say something, but was afraid it would be inappropriate during their first meeting.

Eventually, he gave up and asked her another question.

- Are you staying here for a long time?

- For a week. We are going home on Sunday. - He nodded his head. - These days flew by far too quickly to return to gray reality.

- I still have some time left before the end of the vacation. I don't know if I can hold out here much longer with my insufferable friend. He is two years older than me, and I have to watch him like a child.

- Welcome to the club. I also feel that I am babysitting a child here.

Both of them carried away with laughter.

- I hope that tonight you will stop by for the last time to party. Saturday parties are the best of the week. There are many more attractions.

- Ara will not forgive me. We will definitely show up.

He looked pleased.

Solbin looked at her watch and realized it was already twenty minutes past two in the morning.

She was falling on her face.

She pushed the elevator button, seeing that Jungkook was already tired of carrying her friend all this way.

The girl may not have looked it, but she was quite heavy.

- I'm truly grateful to you. Tomorrow, when we show up at the party, Ara will thank you for this. I'll see to it.

The brunet smiled slightly.

- Helping people makes me happy.

- Medical school? - That was the first thing that came to her mind, although he didn't look like a doctor.

- Maybe I actually missed my calling? - he replied in an amused voice.

He carried Ara into the room and laid her on the bed.

- I will repeat myself for the third time, but I really thank you. - Solbin was immensely grateful to him for his help.

- In that case, in the evening we'll see you at the farewell party?

She nodded her head.

- Yes.

He walked to the door, and before he left, he looked in her direction and sent a sweet smile.

- I'm glad you let me meet you. I hope to learn more about you in the evening.

This was the first time Solbin blushed. She put her palms to her cheeks, and the corners of her mouth lifted on their own.

*

- I'm going to die a tragic death," whined Ara, when at noon, she finally opened her eyes.

She sat on the bed, semi-conscious, massaging her throbbing forehead.

- In that case, you won't be going to the farewell party today. - Solbin handed her a glass of cold water.

The redhead's eyes immediately opened wider. She seemed to come to her senses immediately.

- I can die, and I won't let any party pass me by!

She put the glass to her lips and drank the water as greedily as if she had just returned from the Sahara. She looked like seven woes.

- You won't even ask how I managed to bring you to the hotel?

- How? - She wasn't particularly interested in that. She could have woken up even in the slums, and she wouldn't have cared.

- I brought you on my back.

Ara measured her friend's very slim figure and nodded appreciatively.

- For a skinny anemic, you are strong.

- I couldn't move you from your chair, you drunken piglet! - The redhead was outraged by her words. - You got drunk to the point of unconsciousness. If it hadn't been for the help of the man I met yesterday on the beach....

- That Korean guy? - She was immediately interested in it. - Did you find him, or did he find you?

Solbin sighed heavily.

- What does that have to do with the fact that I had a problem with you? If it wasn't for his help, you would have spent the rest of the night on the beach, and I would have spent it with you.

The redhead looked at her suspiciously.

- Did you kiss each other?

- You are sick. - The blonde rolled her eyes. - I just learned the name of this man, and I was already going to kiss him?

- Girl, and what are vacations for? You go to taste adventure, to sleep with a random stranger guy....

- A virgin is supposed to sleep with a random guy? I'm not you, Ara.

The friend frowned, offended by her words.

- You have to open the padlock eventually, Sol.

- Your daddy would have to listen to what you're saying at some point. I wonder if you would still be the apple of his eye?

Ara threw a pillow at her.

- And what can I do about the fact that I love guys?

- So go work in a brothel...! - She deliberately dragged out this sentence, with which she angered the redhead. The girl got off the bed and, despite her headache, chased her around the room. Eventually, the two ran out into the hotel corridor, and Solbin stuck out her tongue as she closed the door in front of Ara's nose.

- I demand a divorce! - shouted the redhead, resting her hands on her hips. Wearing the velvet shirt Sol had dressed her in during the night and with her hair uncombed, she stood in the corridor, attracting the white guy's attention.

The man measured her from the bottom to the top, at which she heaved a forced laugh and with her toes nodded cheerfully at him.

- Hiii," she stammered in English, with which she made him laugh before he entered his room.

*

Jin moved around with a raised drink in his hand, taking in the Thai dance rhythms. Jungkook sat at a table, resting his cheek on his hand and watching his friend with amusement in his eyes.

And who would have thought that this crazy man had his restaurant and was a chef in it?

After all, he loved being the center of attention.

Jungkook looked around the beach, trying to find Solbin. This newly met girl had caught his eye during their first meeting. She was charming and had something about her that made him want to get to know her better.

His first teenage love was similar to her. She had the same sweet, friendly face as she did.

His eyes lit up when he saw her dressed in a white dress with open shoulders. Her blond hair was pinned up in a bun on top of her head, making her look very girlish.

She was gorgeous.

Her friend looked entirely different, it was clear that she had a sharper temperament. Dressed in a short black top and leather shorts, every now, and then she combed her hand through her short red hair, which reached her shoulders.

Jungkook rose from his chair and smiled uncertainly at Solbin when she finally noticed him. The blonde grabbed her friend under her arm and walked towards the boy together.

- Ara, this is Jungkook. Jungkook, this is Ara," she introduced them to each other. - It's thanks to him that you didn't spend the whole night in the open air.

The redhead measured him with appreciation.

- Thanks for carrying my fat ass. - The brunet raised an eyebrow, surprised by her directness. - It probably gave you better muscle than an hour's exercise at the gym.

Solbin raked her friend with her eyes.

- And this is supposed to be a cultural "Thank You"?

Ara ignored her remark about the incorrect words, focusing her attention on Jungkook's friend....

- Hello pretty friends. - He extended his hand, which the redhead immediately shook. - I am Seokjin.

He was tall, handsome and had broad shoulders. Perfect to have fun with him that night.

- Ara. - She was about to pull him aside, but was interrupted by a Thai woman approaching them with a tray of colorful candies.

- This is a special Saturday night. Treat yourselves to sweets to spice up the fun. Make it an unforgettable night," she spoke to them in English, and only Ara didn't understand her.

She puffed out her lips.

- I don't know what this babe is talking about, but I'm hungry as hell. - She grabbed a handful of colorful candies, however, Solbin did not allow her to eat it all and slapped her hand to return it.

- One candy. Don't be greedy.

Each one of them treated themselves to a bit of sweetness.

- Why does it taste so good? - Seokjin marveled at the taste of the candy out loud.

- I don't know, but you look like you taste better. Let's go get to know each other. - Ara grabbed his hand and pulled him toward a waiter handing out coconut drinks.

Solbin furrowed her eyebrows, wondering if the woman was by any chance the shaman who had given a wedding to a drunken couple the night before.

- It seems to me that your friend will quickly catch a good rapport with Jin.

- I have no doubt about that.

It was only three minutes when the blonde felt strange.

- Is it my imagination, or did the sky become more colorful? - They both lifted their faces, looking confused.

- The aurora borealis?

The party was just getting started, and the mysterious candies of the shaman, caused people to have more and more fun.

The night is long, and this is just the beginning....
