Tears started running down Jovana's face as guilt closed its claws around her neck, and she said, "I… I can't believe you. You have to risk your life just… just because I acted in the wrong way in front of the King." Jovana stammered, trailing off when Caspian pressed his index finger against her lips and rested his forehead against hers.
"It's not your fault. The King has been looking for a way to get rid of me for years. It was only a matter of time. I spent my whole life fighting for my country, but before meeting you, I never had anything personal to fight for," Caspian said as he wiped her tears away and looked at her with a clear smile. "And I'm so glad to have you."
"What's the point of having each other if I could lose you right away?" Jovana snapped.
