"Go back?"

Yoruichi raised an eyebrow. "Back to the Uzumaki residence with Mito Uzumaki and Kushina? Why?"

He had been living by the river outside the village since he was ten. The constant fights with Kushina, coupled with the awkwardness of growing up together, made him leave. It felt better to be on his own.

Yoruichi never thought they'd ask him to return.

Mito smiled warmly. "Yes. No more living alone outside. It's not safe."

Yoruichi waved her off. "No need, old lady. I like my freedom."

Kushina, who had been beaming moments ago, suddenly looked down. Did she go too far with him in the past? Was that why he left?

Hiruzen Sarutobi cleared his throat. "Yoruichi, this isn't just about you. It's for your safety. Living with Kushina will also give her company."

Kushina's cheeks turned red as she glanced at Yoruichi nervously.

Hiruzen continued, "You've awakened the Wood Release of the Senju Clan. There's a lot of attention on you. We can't risk you staying alone outside the village."

Mito nodded in agreement. "It's settled, Yoruichi. Come back, if only to put this old woman's heart at ease."

Yoruichi sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Alright, alright. But give me a night to pack my stuff."

Kushina perked up. "Want help?"

He chuckled. "No need. See you tomorrow."

Hiruzen coughed. "Both of you, report to my office at 10 a.m. tomorrow."

"Got it, Hokage," Yoruichi said casually before walking off.

Kushina watched him leave, her expression filled with mixed emotions. Mito chuckled softly, noticing the young girl's feelings.

Yoruichi returned to his small wooden cabin by the river, collapsing onto the bed with a sigh. "What a day."

In his mind, he recounted the insane rewards he'd obtained—Hashirama's Wood Release, Flying Thunder God, and even the Edo Tensei technique.

And then there was Kushina.

"Maybe, just maybe, with my help, she could become the first female Hokage," he muttered with a grin.

But his thoughts shifted. He still hadn't opened that special reward.

[Ding! Would you like to open the Supreme Gift Pack?]

"Yes!"

[Ding! Congratulations! You've received the S-Rank Summoning Contract – Ryuchi Cave!]

Yoruichi's eyes widened. "Ryuchi Cave... One of the three great summoning grounds, just like Mount Myoboku and Shikkotsu Forest. Full of snakes and the legendary White Snake Sage."

A scroll materialized in his hands, glowing faintly. "With this, I can summon the snakes and learn their Sage Mode. Orochimaru must've drawn power from here too."

As he pondered, a cold sensation filled the air. Yoruichi glanced toward the window.

White snakes slithered silently, their eyes gleaming with malice. Outside, more snakes surrounded his cabin. A chilling intent wrapped the area.

"Orochimaru," Yoruichi muttered.

The wooden floor creaked as roots sprouted from it, ensnaring the snakes in seconds. Their hisses were silenced.

"Well done."

The voice sent shivers down his spine. Yoruichi turned toward the river. Orochimaru stood there, his sinister smile illuminated by moonlight.

"Quite the reaction time," Orochimaru said, his tone dripping with amusement. "You're... interesting."

Yoruichi's gaze sharpened. "And you're trouble."

Orochimaru's eyes narrowed, sensing danger. "Darkness Release!"

The area plunged into total blackness. Even Orochimaru's vision was blocked.

Orochimaru chuckled. "You even mastered the Darkness Release? My, you're a fascinating subject. I should take you back for research."

Yoruichi's voice echoed in the darkness. "Not happening."

The sound of a sharp wind broke through. Orochimaru barely dodged as Yoruichi's kick shot past him, grazing his cheek. Blood trickled down.

"You're fast," Orochimaru said, licking his lips. "But not fast enough."

"Let's see about that," Yoruichi muttered, vanishing into the darkness again.

Tree roots erupted from the ground, forcing Orochimaru to leap back. He countered with a summoning—white snakes emerged, coiling toward Yoruichi.

But before they could reach him, Yoruichi's hands formed seals. "Wood Release: Binding Pillars!"

Massive wooden pillars erupted, pinning the snakes mid-air. Orochimaru's smile faltered.

Yoruichi leaped forward, his fist glowing with chakra. Orochimaru barely substituted in time, leaving a shattered log behind.

"You're better than I expected," Orochimaru admitted. "But we'll meet again, Yoruichi. And next time, I'll uncover all your secrets."

Before Yoruichi could react, the snake sannin dissolved into a cluster of slithering serpents, retreating into the night.

Yoruichi stood still, his body tense. "Orochimaru... so it begins."
