Yoruichi didn't expect that just being lazy would cause so many misunderstandings.
But seeing that Uzumaki Mito cared so much about him and even invited Shizune to treat him, Yoruichi felt a bit warm inside.
This old lady really treated him like her own grandchild.
"Let me take a look..."
Shizune stepped closer to Yoruichi, reaching out her hands.
"Uh..."
Yoruichi instinctively took a few steps back.
"Yoruichi-kun, don't move if you're hurt! Let me check your body."
Shizune grabbed his wrist, and Yoruichi sighed, closing his eyes.
"Well, since Shizune-chan insists on checking me, I'll just leave it to you."
"Ugh!"
Shizune glared at him, her face slightly red.
This kid acted like she was doing something inappropriate.
Kushina covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.
"Hmph, serves you right for being cheeky!"
Shizune pinched Yoruichi's waist gently, and even though he was a shinobi, it hurt enough to make him wince.
This was a trick Shizune used on troublesome patients before.
However, when she squeezed him, her expression changed slightly.
"So hard... Ahem, I mean, what a tough body."
She quickly recovered and continued examining him.
"Very healthy. No injuries at all... And what an enormous amount of chakra!"
As a medical ninja, Shizune understood anatomy well, but she was shocked by Yoruichi's chakra reserves.
At his age, his chakra levels were comparable to a jonin!
After finishing the examination, she turned to Uzumaki Mito.
"Mito-sama, his body is in excellent condition. He doesn't seem injured at all. Maybe I missed something... How about having my teacher take a look?"
Yoruichi's eyelid twitched. First Shizune, and now they wanted Tsunade to examine him too?
Uzumaki Mito's eyes lit up.
"Is Tsunade coming back?"
She hadn't seen her granddaughter in years. Tsunade had left Konoha to escape her grief and avoid the village.
Shizune hesitated.
"I'm not sure, but maybe Yoruichi can visit her instead?"
Mito shook her head.
"Not now. The situation is tense. Kushina was just targeted recently, and Yoruichi, being the last bloodline of the Senju clan, must be protected."
Shizune nodded in understanding.
"Alright, Mito-sama. I'll return and update my teacher."
"Be careful on your way."

At the edge of the Uzumaki compound, a small child played with ants, watching the courtyard closely.
The child saw Kushina leaving and grabbed a stick, using it to carve a message on the ground: Kushina out.
Then, they threw the stick into an alley.
Later, when Kushina returned with Shizune, the child repeated the process: Kushina and Shizune back.
When Shizune eventually left alone, another message was carved: Shizune out.
These updates quickly reached Danzo at the Root headquarters.
"Yoruichi hasn't left? Didn't Kushina plan to take him to meet Minato and Sakumo?"
Danzo glanced at Orochimaru, who stood nearby.
"Did you hurt Yoruichi last night?"
Orochimaru smirked and licked his lips.
"No, Sensei interrupted us. Why?"
Danzo frowned.
"Shizune went into the Uzumaki compound. Yoruichi might be injured. Perhaps he got hurt saving Kushina."
Orochimaru shrugged, clearly uninterested in gossip.
"Perhaps. By the way, where's my new lab?"
Danzo gestured to another location.
"It's ready. And about the survivor from that experiment five years ago, Yamato—he's all yours."
Danzo handed Orochimaru a branch with carved writing.
"Look at this. It's Wood Release."
Orochimaru's eyes glimmered with interest.
"Fascinating. I'll begin with him immediately."
Danzo's tone turned cold.
"Do whatever you want, but don't get reckless. The last time you went overboard, your experiments were shut down."
Orochimaru smiled slyly.
"Relax. I only need a little of their blood. I won't kill them."
With that, Orochimaru left, his smile betraying his sinister thoughts.
---
Two days passed.
The Root agents keeping an eye on the Uzumaki compound had grown restless.
The boy known as Yamato was transferred, but Yoruichi still hadn't left the house.
"Is he planning to stay indoors for an entire month?" one operative muttered.
Even Danzo was growing impatient.
"Wait until tomorrow morning. If there's still no sign of Yoruichi, pull back."
In the compound, Yoruichi checked his progress.
His fusion rate had reached 20%. He opened his status panel:
[Name: Yoruichi
Strength: Elite Jonin
Position: Chunin
Character Card: SSS-Rank Hashirama Senju (Fusion 20.09%)
Bloodline Limit: God-level Wood Release (from character card)
Ninjutsu: Flying Thunder God Lv3, Reanimation Lv3, Chidori Lv3, Shadow Clone Lv3]
The training system was absurdly efficient. Even while slacking off, his ninjutsu proficiency improved.
Yoruichi smirked.
With a fusion rate of 20%, even Orochimaru wouldn't be able to harm him now.
"It's time to stop being lazy," he muttered.
He stretched, ready to step outside for the first time in days.
if his lazy behavior continued, Kushina would definitely get angry.
Minato had been lying in the hospital for several days, and Yoruichi hadn't gone to visit him. Wasn't he even a friend anymore?
But just as Yoruichi was about to call Kushina to visit Minato, they were informed that Minato had already been discharged.
Yoruichi felt like the bond of friendship between him and Minato was completely gone.
Damn laziness!
At this moment, Minato showed up and knocked on his door.
Yoruichi was stunned when he saw Minato, bruised and bloody, standing at the entrance.
"Yoruichi-kun, um… I…" Minato scratched his head awkwardly.
"What is it?" Yoruichi asked, confused.
Even Kushina looked puzzled.
Minato hesitated before speaking. "The last fight… I've been thinking about it a lot while in the hospital. I had some insights. Yoruichi-kun, can we spar again?"
He quickly added, "And if I get injured again, it's on me! I'm asking for this!"
Minato glanced nervously at Kushina and then clenched his fists. "I swear this in front of Kushina, she can testify for me!"
Yoruichi stared at him, speechless. Was one beating not enough? How many times did this guy want to get humiliated?
He couldn't help but think Minato might be a masochist.
---
In the end, Yoruichi agreed to Minato's strange request, though he felt embarrassed about it.
Kushina shook her head and said sarcastically, "Boys are so weird. Fighting and sparring all the time."
Yoruichi glanced at her. "And you don't? Aren't you the one who solves everything with your fists?"
"Shut up!"
Since it wasn't appropriate to fight near the Uzumaki household, they decided on Training Ground No. 5 in Konoha Village.
---
However, as Yoruichi, Kushina, and Minato left the Uzumaki household, hidden figures in masks began to move.
"The operation to capture Yoruichi begins now!"
"Minimize exposure. Don't reveal our identities unless necessary!"
"If Kushina or Minato gets hurt in the process, it doesn't matter. The mission takes priority!"
With the leader's orders, countless masked figures darted out, their movements silent and precise.
Yoruichi was the first to notice something was wrong.
Even Minato frowned, scanning the area. The atmosphere felt… off.
But Kushina, oblivious to the danger, hummed as she walked beside them.
Yoruichi grabbed her arm and pulled her into a nearby alley.
"Yoruichi! What are you doing?" Kushina protested.
Minato hesitated, then followed them, unwilling to leave them alone.
Before Minato could say anything, a masked figure landed in front of him, blocking the way.
With a hoarse voice, the figure said, "Minato Namikaze, your opponent is me."
Minato frowned. "Who are you?"
"We're spies from Kumogakure!" the man declared.
Minato narrowed his eyes. "You're lying. No spy would admit their identity so openly!"
Without waiting for a response, Minato dashed forward, his figure blurring as he appeared before the masked man, a kunai in his hands.
---
Meanwhile, Yoruichi and Kushina were surrounded by masked attackers. Each of them exuded a dangerous aura, at least Chunin-level, with a few clearly at Jonin strength.
"Seriously? An ambush in broad daylight? In Konoha?" Yoruichi muttered, frustrated.
Kushina's expression turned serious. "Who are they?"
Yoruichi glanced at their masks and sighed. "Root. Danzo's little group. This is getting ridiculous."
The attackers paused briefly, surprised he had identified them.
But the leader, Yamanaka Kaze, smirked under his mask. "It doesn't matter. No evidence, no problem."
He gave the order. "Attack!"
The Root agents launched their assault.
Yamanaka Kaze performed the Mind Transfer Jutsu, directing his spiritual energy to take control of Yoruichi.
Two others released swarms of insects, shouting, "Parasitic Insects: Swarm Attack!"
Another figure activated the Sharingan, his blood-red eyes spinning.
Kushina gasped. "Sharingan?! An Uchiha in Root?"
The sight left her stunned.
Yoruichi frowned, pulling Kushina behind him. "Focus! This isn't the time to be shocked!"
The Uchiha agent cast a genjutsu, leaves swirling in the air as the illusion took hold.
Kushina suddenly froze, seeing Yoruichi's body pierced by kunai and shuriken, blood pouring from his wounds as he collapsed against a tree.
She screamed in horror and fainted.
---
The Root agents didn't stop, their
attacks coordinated and ruthless. Ten of them struck at once, aiming to subdue Yoruichi in a single, overwhelming blow.
