A Rift Between Xiang and Wen Shia
Xiang and Wen Shia had settled into a peaceful routine in the small village. Though Wen Shia was still under Xiang's control, he gradually adapted to this new life. They worked for the villagers, cooked meals together, and lived as though the outside world didn't exist. Over time, Wen Shia even began to enjoy the simplicity of life with Xiang. Despite everything, she cared for him, and he found himself feeling an unexpected sense of comfort in her presence.
One night, Wen Shia had a vivid dream of a radiant placeāheaven itself. In the dream, a powerful voice spoke to him:
"You are destined to become a God in heaven. You must never stray from the path of righteousness and must always follow the rules. Never allow yourself to be swayed by emotions or break the sacred laws, and above all, never give your heart to anyone."
Startled, Wen Shia woke up in a sweat. The dream left him confused and uneasy. He couldn't recall his past life, but the dream felt oddly familiar. "What was that? Was it a memory of my past life, or something else?" he wondered aloud. Shaking off the lingering unease, he decided not to dwell on it further and stepped outside for some fresh air.
As Wen Shia wandered through the village, a group of people dressed in white robes suddenly appeared before him. One of them stepped forward and said, "We are your family, Wen Shia, and you must come with us."
Wen Shia frowned, his voice firm. "I don't know who you are, and I'm not going anywhere with you."
Before they could respond, Xiang appeared from behind. Her tone was sharp as she demanded, "What are you doing here? We are living peacefully. Why do you want to disturb us?"
At that moment, the God of Heaven himself appeared, his presence commanding. He looked at Xiang and said, "You can stay here and live as you please, but we are taking Wen Shia with us. He is our son."
Wen Shia looked confused. "I don't know who you are," he said flatly.
Xiang immediately stepped in front of him, shielding him. "Don't listen to them," she warned. "They are trying to deceive you. Stay with me."
Wen Shia, still under Xiang's control, stepped forward, his voice resolute. "I will protect her. None of you can take her away."
The God of Heaven sighed deeply and cast a powerful spell, breaking Xiang's control over Wen Shia. Wen Shia blinked, his eyes clearing as he regained his senses. The moment he realized what Xiang had done to him, anger surged through him.
"How dare you?" he thundered. "You cast a spell on me? I am your master, and you dared to control me?!"
Xiang's eyes filled with tears as she pleaded, "Don't leave me! I love you, Master. I love you more than anything. Please, don't go. We can live peacefully here, just the two of us."
Her confession stunned everyone, including Wen Shia. For a moment, his heart softened, but he quickly suppressed his emotions. "Love? You cannot love me," he said coldly. "I am your teacher, and you are my student. Love between us is impossible."
Tears streaming down her face, Xiang declared, "Fine! From this moment onward, I no longer consider you my teacher. I swear it!" She raised three fingers as a solemn vow. "You and I will never again be teacher and student. Now you have no excuse. Stay with me."
Furious and hurt, Wen Shia shouted, "Then I declare that you are no longer my student! From this moment, we are nothing to each other. You are a demon, and I am a God. If we meet again, it will only be on the battlefield as enemies!"
Without another word, Wen Shia summoned his sword and flew away, never looking back.
The God of Heaven turned to Xiang, his expression triumphant. "You cannot take my son from me. He belongs to heaven, and I will ensure you never see him again. If you dare to approach him, I will kill you."
The heavenly entourage departed, leaving Xiang alone on the ground. She broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. Far away, Wen Shia also felt a tear escape his eye, but he pressed on, determined to bury his feelings and fulfill his divine duty.
