Xiang's body was gradually growing weaker. Doming had brought her to his home, but being surrounded by the evil forces of the demon clan only worsened her condition. At first, no one understood what was happening. Then a doctor, after examining her, said, "She is likely suffering from the influence of demonic power. The closer she remains to it, the weaker she will become. The power inside her is starting to awaken, which is why her body is deteriorating. It drains all her strength, and eventually, she will be completely exhausted. If you want her to live longer, she must be taken away from this place."
Doming, however, didn't believe the doctor's words. "I will let her stay here. She will remain here," he insisted. But as Xiang's health continued to decline, Doming reluctantly agreed. "Alright, we'll take her to Nanjing Mountain."
However, Xiang refused. "I will not go with you. I will go alone," she said firmly. Early the next morning, she packed her things and quietly left, returning to her family's home.
When her parents saw her, they were overwhelmed with happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Li rushed to her and asked, "Where have you been all this time? Why didn't you come to visit us? You look so sick. And why didn't Wen Shia come with you?" Mrs. Li bombarded her with questions, but Xiang remained silent. She listened patiently, then slowly replied, "Mother, is that all you're going to do? Just ask questions? Won't you invite me in? I'm exhausted from my journey."
Mrs. Li immediately responded, "Come in quickly. I'll cook your favorite meal. Tell me what you want to eat." Though Mrs. Li was about to call for a doctor, Xiang gently refused. "There's no need for that. I'm fine. I just missed you and wanted to visit after such a long time."
Mrs. Li hugged her tightly. "You're so late! I've missed you so much. Has someone been troubling you? Tell me their name, and I'll make sure they regret it." Xiang smiled, understanding her mother's concern. She rested her head in her mother's lap as she started preparing the food. After a while, Mrs. Li said, "Now, go to your room and rest. I'll call you when it's time for dinner."
Xiang quietly went to her room. A maid soon brought her hot water, and Xiang quickly took a bath. Afterward, she lay down on the bed to rest. Then, her personal maid, Shi Bao, entered the room. "I missed you so much!" Shi Bao said, beaming. She was a kind and quiet girl, always supportive of Xiang. They had been close friends for years, and Shi Bao never tolerated anyone speaking ill of Xiang. In return, Xiang respected her deeply.
Xiang then shared with Shi Bao what had happened in Heaven, how she was expelled, and how Wen Shia had begun to hate her. Shi Bao was shocked. "How is it possible that you have such power? You've always been a normal girl. You've lived with us for so long, and nothing seemed different about you. How did all of this happen?"
Xiang sighed. "I don't know how it happened, but there's some kind of energy inside me now. We need to find out more about it, but we have to keep this between us for now. We cannot tell our parents yet. Tomorrow, we'll go and figure out what's happening."
Shi Bao suggested, "There's a renowned hospital with excellent doctors who can examine your veins and tell what's really going on inside your body. The doctor is very capable, but he lives on Hansia Mountain. It's a long journey, and we'll have to go there. But how will we explain this to our parents?"
