Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3- FORGOTTEN PAST

>Gabriel Lois

fish market is located at the northern tip of the Glow Harbor in Blue Town. Although the town itself was not tinted blue, it derived its name from the deep blue hue of the surrounding sea.

There was a small fish shop in the market. A fat lady with red checks busted into it. "Hey, foreign kid! You gave me the wrong fish," she shouted and banged the fish bucket onto the table. "I am sorry, miss. I will replace it," that guy replied. He had black hair and an eastern face. His clothes were covered in fish blood, and a foul smell was casting from him.

"So you think I will give up this easily, I walked 20 blocks to get to this stupid place and you treat me like this," she was crazy angry,

"Sorry madam I will not repeat it,"

"Is there any problem, Miss?" a man walked in. He was the owner of that place.

"yes, look this kid dumped some stupid fish in my bucket,"

"Sorry mam for the mix-up he is new here, I will replace it right away," The man expressed his sincere apology as he acknowledged the error. He swiftly took those fish from the bucket and replaced them with Canden fish, a slightly more expensive option than what the lady had originally ordered. Despite the mix-up, the lady seemed pleased with the substitution because of that man. "Here you go, mam. I think you have a beautiful name," the man complimented the lady, trying to make amends for the mistake.

"I am Amber," she shyly replied, her cheeks flushing even redder than before. With a grateful smile, she accepted the Canden fish and left the store.

"Sorry sir," That foreign kid said,

"hey It's not a big deal, these things happen all the time, try relaxing." That man advised him,

"Thank you, sir,"

"You are Gabriel right?" That man asked

"Yes sir, Gabriel Lois,"

"Stop calling me sir we are of the same age, call me Gorge,"

"Okay sir," Gabriel replied,

"Not sir again. Anyhow, where are you from?" Gorge asked,

"I am from Qual Kingdom Gorge,"

"Qual, I have heard many stories but I have never been there, how was life over there?" Gorge asked another question,

"Better than this place, but I cannot return," Gabriel replied,

"Are you okay?" inquired Gorge.

"Sorry sir, I was lost in my thoughts," replied Gabriel.

"Not sir again, you may depart now, it is almost 8 o'clock," Gorge informed. Gabriel changed into fresh attire and exited the establishment. Despite being 26 years old, Gabriel appeared much younger, resembling a 19-year-old, while Gorge, at 27, maintained his age gracefully.

Emma and her father were far from the bustling city, surrounded by the tranquility of nature. The sun was at its peak, casting a golden hue over the vast fields of corn and wheat that stretched out on either side of the dusty road. As Steven guided the horse to a stop, Emma's curiosity piqued.

"Papa, why are we stopping here?" she inquired, her eyes scanning the endless expanse of crops.

"We need to gather supplies for our journey ahead, my dear," Steven replied with a smile, his gaze fixed on the swaying stalks of corn. With a nod of understanding, Emma dismounted the horse and stood by the roadside, her thoughts drifting to the peculiar sensations that had been haunting her that day.

Lost in thoughts, she recalled the bubbles in the bathtub that morning and the sudden collapse of the arch that they had passed by earlier. These seemingly unrelated events tugged at her mind, hinting at a deeper connection that eluded her grasp. As Steven disappeared into the cornfield to collect corn, Emma's heart raced as she caught sight of a mysterious figure lurking in the golden wheat crops. It appeared to be a small, muddy pig, innocently making its way towards her. Emma was happy that she got another partner. The pig was undeniably adorable, with its small size, curly tail, and dusky eyes that sparkled in the sunlight.

However, as the pig drew nearer, Emma's joy turned to horror. The creature seemed to undergo a bizarre transformation right before her eyes. Its once small form began to expand and transform disturbingly. Emma's confusion quickly gave way to fear as she witnessed the pig's legs elongate to skeletal thinness, revealing the bones beneath its flesh. The creature's body twisted and deformed, its ribs were out, and its face took on a sinister, wolf-like appearance. Its dark fur and blood-red eyes exuded a malevolent aura that chilled Emma to the core.

Paralyzed by fear, Emma stumbled backward, her eyes wide with terror. The creature advanced relentlessly closer to Emma, it was right above her, and its saliva drops fell onto her, she didn't move but closed her eyes and thought it was the end. She screamed hard and loud, the voice reached long in all directions.

Emma opened her eyes, and that creature was gone, Emma searched the whole area, but she couldn't see it as far as her eyes could reach. Steven came out of the field "Emma are you alright?" he asked and was holding a small bag full of corn, Emma was speechless, but she knotted, Steven dropped the bag and hugged Emma "Don't worry Emma I am there for you," Emma was still speechless, her father didn't ask anything or know what happened but he understood her.

>Arnold Shall

Julian woke up from his sleep, he was searching for water to drink, there was a small steel mug on the reading table filled with water, he jumped out of bed and started drinking it. Suddenly the whole room was lit up by light, Julian turned towards Arnold, and Arnold's eyes were casting light, he observed, that they were closed but lit, Julian was in shock he didn't know what to do, so he stepped back and woke Lilly, "What happened Julian?" Lilly asked in her half sleep, Julian didn't say anything but pointed towards Arnold. Lilly quickly rubbed her eyes, her mind went blank for a second and then she asked "What is happening Julian?" Julian didn't say anything but shook his head, he had no answer too. Lilly got off the bed and started walking towards Arnold, she took a deep breath and gently knotted on Arnold's shoulder. He woke up, "What are you?" Lilly asked him, he was breathing heavily and his hands were in his hair. "I am Jumal." he answered slowly, "What is Jumal?" Lilly questioned him again,

"Jumal are the devotees of the God-of-Light, Jehins," Arnold replied,

"What-, why-... Ah, I have many questions," Lilly was confused and her mind was bothering her,

"Don't worry I meant no harm," Arnold said,

"Why are your eyes shining?" Julian asked Arnold,

"I almost forgot about it, our eyes emit light when we sense danger," Arnold said,

"We are in danger?" Lilly,

"Yes the Maldas, they are near," Arnold said. A noise entered the room from the cavern, it was the chirp of a squirrel. Julian went out to see, the tree in the middle of the open cave was dead, its leaves were gone and the bark went dry. He saw the Maldas, they were close to Julian, Arnold popped before Julian and joined his hands, and the light started to form from his hand, and the Maldas backed. The glow from his eyes went dim and his eyes were white, "We need to go out, my powers are fading." Arnold said to Lilly and Julian and smashed his feet, a series of stones started to come out of the cavern, those stones were forming a spiral staircase wrapping around the open cavern making out through the hole on the top. "Start moving!" Arnold shouted, Lilly and Julian stepped onto one of the stones, "What about you?" Lilly asked Arnold,

"You go first I'll come later," Arnold replied,

Lilly and Julian ran onto the stairs, they were running as fast as they could. Julian turned back to see Arnold. Arnold's powers were gone, his eyes went blind, and heard the voice of an old man, "Your duty has ended." The color of his eyes turned brown from white, a grace smile on his face and he opened his arm, the Maldas took over his body.

Lilly and Julian were still running, and the Maldas were following them, as they reached closer to the end the sun rose killing the Maldas.

They reached the top of the mountain, and the light rays of the sun reflected onto Lilly and Julian's faces, they could see the whole kingdom from up top there, the kingdom was in ruins, the Red Castle was fading its color and the High Tower was destroyed.
